I have been an Apple customer for quite some time. We were in need of a laptop for my wife school assignments. We decided that $1k+ is a ridiculous amount to spend on a laptop, again. So looking at Best Buy's laptops, we started with a budget of $300 and saw the quality and quickly decided to up our budget. We then ran into this bad boy of a laptop on the open box/used cage area. It was looking rough when we saw it and the Rep told us that the laptop was retailed for $849. It was selling for $467.99. We got it for $503 with tax. He even removed all the stickers and cleaned it up... looks practically brand new. Never been happier. Apple version with identical specs values at $1,999. It's a no brainer.

I have a history of back problems, and so I needed to purchase a laptop and/or laptop/tablet that was light and easy to carry. I went to the local Best Buy and found this model on sale. I was really pleased with the price and purchased it. After having used it for about 6 months now, I'm pleased with my purchase and NORMALLY would give a 5 star rating. HOWEVER, I have to knock the rating down by one star for the pitiful wireless adapter. I'm not really sure if it is the adapter itself or if the drivers are poorly written, but it behaves erratically and has difficulty finding wireless access ports. My house is two story, and unfortunately, the wireless home portal (AT&T u-verse) is located at the far end of the house. I resolved this problem by adding a wireless signal extender. All of my devices are able to pick up a 100% signal from the extender and about 80% from the Home Portal itself. When this laptop wakes from sleeping, it won't automatically connect and get Internet access from the Portal. I have to manually click on the wireless icon (in Windows 10) which is something none of my previous laptops would have a problem with. There are times that it will completely lose the signal and, on rare occasions, I have to reboot the laptop in order to find a useable signal again. I've tried downloading drivers directly from Intel, but they were useless and I ended up having to revert back to the Dell branded drivers. The other disappointment was that I assumed that it would have a CD/DVD drive. I realize now that many laptop/tablets are scaled down without these drives to minimize weight and size. I can't fault Dell for this, but I wanted to mention it in this review for those who may also assume. I DO want to warn customers that, without a CD/DVD drive, it is CRITICAL that you create a USB recovery. It requires at USB drive of at least 16GB in size and takes about 30 minutes to create the recovery. This is critical, because if Windows 10 every crashes and refuses to boot, you'll have a very expensive doorstop without this USB recovery tool. It creates a complete image of the C:/ drive so that Windows, apps, and files can be reinstalled. Because I frequently create and/or save new files, I use cloud AND redundant local backup so that I'm not constantly re-creating the USB recovery. Other than that, the SSD drive is lightning fast - Windows 10 boots up in less than a minute. With 8GB of RAM, it handles all of the tasks that I hand it with ease. The display is bright and clear. Text is easy to read, and color saturation makes for deep, rich colors. Sound is what would be expected on a device this small. It's adequate, but I wouldn't expect high quality audio that you would get on a computer with external speakers. The keyboard is a little heavy for the touch. I type 100WPM, but find if I don't strike the keys with a "heavy hand", there are missed characters. I DO like the fact that the keys are lighted which comes in very handy at night or in a dark room. It would have been nice to have a separate numeric keypad, but I understand this is another feature to scale down the size. The touch screen is very responsive. With a complete flip backwards, this device is turned into a touch tablet. Windows 10 automatically asks if you want to be in tablet or laptop mode and asks again if you switch back to a regular laptop. There are 2 USB 2.0 ports and one USB 3.0 port which is more than plenty for external devices. Bluetooth is quick and reliable - I'm able to connect to my smartphone and move files or pictures back and forth with ease. The processer is quick and stays cool. I rarely feel the cooling fan kick in. When it does, it's whisper quiet. In conclusion, this is a great laptop/tablet and gives a lot of bang for the buck. The only thing that I fault in this review is the wireless adapter. I'm hoping that a BIOS or driver update will eventually fix the problem. I will be attempting to contact Dell and complain about this issue. Other than that, I would recommend this device for someone who needs something light, portable and with a great battery life.

This dell offers plenty of pep and a comfortable keyboard in a premium design, and its speakers are surprisingly good, too. However, below-average battery life and a relatively dull display hold this 2-in-1 back from a higher rating.

I liked the overall specs, however, I think that for the same price you can get a 13 inch laptop with an i7 processor and at least 12gb ram instead of this 15 inch laptop with an i5 and 8gb, choose wisely! ;)

I use this PC extensively in running a small business. So far I've been very satisfied. It's the first PC I've ever owned -- or even used -- that had SSD. I love it! It's fast, and runs quiet and cool. The 8GB of RAM is more than adequate for my everyday demands. I like the 1080p resolution. I do a fair amount of photo editing, and my work is a LOT easier as compared to previous computers/laptops I've owned. No problems at all with off-axis viewing. The backlit keyboard makes my life simpler, since I often am in low-light situations. Good battery life. Although I have only rarely used it as a tablet, and don't plan to on a regular basis, the hinges seem nice and sturdy. It transfers easily to Tablet Mode, and the touchscreen is very responsive. It's lightweight for easy portability. The only thing I don't care for is the way this PC handles sound. The built-in speakers are just barely OK, and I've had some weird issues when connected to external speakers. But although this is disappointing, really, for the money, this is a fairly minor issue.

I bought this for the ruggedness, i keep it for the awesomeness. Its super fast even watching video, while downloading, and streaming. The colors are bright and its surprisingly light for being made of aluminum. The only down side. I needes external speakers since i play videos for large groups. I would buy rhis again over again.

The only thing that I can complain about with my laptop is the fan. First, the vents are positioned such that they are almost always obstructed, a more and more common problem with newer thinner laptops. Second, the fan itself on my unit makes a weird warbling sound, which seems to me to be a manufacturing defect. I haven't seen the same comment from many other people so it seems to be an isolated incident. The good news is that it's so low that if there's any other sound in the room you can't hear it. The bad news is when I took it into Best Buy it was impossible to hear over the sound of the store. It seemed like too much of a hassle to send it off and be without it when it's only a very minor annoyance and so I just made sure that it didn't affect performance and ignored it after that. Other than that everything else about the unit seems solid. Good price, good performance, not too much bloat ware, metal casing instead of plastic, good, good, and more good. Even with my minor problem, which seems to be an isolated incident, I would still recommend that my friends get it.

Multiple positions for screen viewing with this 2 n 1 laptop. touchscreen windows 10 extended battery life also has intell i5 7200u processor 2.5 with a turbo 3 GHz, 8GB DDR4RAM, a 256 SSD Harddrive for a quick start up. I shopped around for a long time for this PC. I’m not an expert so read lots of reviews. The solid state drive makes such a difference with a PC. I was looking for more processing power and speed and that’s what I got with this one. It’s light weight, easy to handle, nice size screen. I did have to replace the battery already - wasn’t a deal breaker. The battery is so small - but makes the PC lighter. Good purchase.

I work from home as an account executive and I came into BB for a new tower because my hard drive crashed in the middle of the week. After going back and forth and comparing all the models available, I wasn't happy with the towers they had, mainly due to the size as my previous tower was about a third of the size of the ones they had available, so the BB employee showed me a few laptops and did a side by side boot and Microsoft Office programs launching of their best on display tower, alongside this Dell laptop. I was shocked that the laptop blew away the tower with its speed. The laptop booted and opened up all the office programs twice in the time it took for the tower to load and open Excel. So after making sure the laptop could offer me all the other things I wanted such as outputs for 2 monitors to be connected, I was sold. I have had this laptop for about a month now and I am completely happy and glad that the employee took the time to show me the differences because I was such a skeptic and a cheapskate for that matter. Now it is essentially my hard drive and I work as I normally did with my wireless keyboard and mouse and the dual monitor setup. I like the fact, that if I wanted to, I can obviously work on the go now with it as a laptop or in tablet mode and I can even have it display as a 3rd monitor if the occasion arises. The touchscreen is also awesome. Very pleased overall.

I looked high and low for PC for my wife. I wanted a touch screen, 2 in 1 functionality, 8 GB of RAM, and a minimum 256 GB SSD. This machine fits the bill perfectly, and was $200 cheaper than anything else I could find. She loves it. Incredibly fast, both booting and in use. Touch screen functions very well. Back-lit keyboard is great. Battery life is excellent. No complaints at all.

I've now had this computer for over a year, and overall, I'm satisfied. It's fast and powerful. However, the speakers are starting to go bad (it started just after the warranty ran out), and the touchscreen occasionally freaks out on start-up. A simple restart resolves the problem, but it's still annoying. For my next PC, I'll probably avoid a touchscreen. Neither of these are deal-breakers, but they diminish the satisfaction I have with a fairly expensive laptop. I would expect better for the price.I recommend, but just barely.

Better Dell 2-in-1 15.6" Laptop Than the 7568

I've had a Dell 7568 4K 2-in-1 laptop for about a year now and like it a lot, although reading some of the scaled text can be challenging at best. I decided to get a second 2-in-1 and liked the specs for the 7569 (and related product reviews). I decided to stay away from the 4K display this time and stick with FHD. Battery time is great (about 4-5 hours or more depending on performance level in use). The power LED can be optionally set as an HDD activity indicator which is nice to have when your not sure if your computer is alive or not. Unfortunately it needs to be set up each time you reboot. Both the 7568 and the 7569 have limited touchpad adjustments that do not include sensitivity or single finger scrolling. Unlike the 7568, display colors are true. Contrast setting is very sensitive and best left at the default value. All in all it's a great laptop. I do a lot of real-time streaming and spreadsheet development and find the performance more than sufficient. Both the 7568 and the 7569 are SSD based. Also, I don't seem to have any touchpad interference (where the cursor goes into hyperspace) when typing text as I have found with other laptops. Great buy on a price/performance basis.

I wasn't looking so much for a tablet like device as I was looking for an i5 or better Intel processor in a laptop. The only thing I was put off by with this unit is that the keyboard looks tiny on the big base, but ultimately it is the same size keyboard you'd find on most smaller laptops, and the larger base allows me to type without hitting the stupid mouse pad so much. Otherwise it is a solid performer between the SSD and the Intel processor. It boots quickly, runs quickly, and for my routine web browsing, photo editing and low end games it's perfect. The only thing that seems to trouble it is editing HD video, but I'd not yet figured out if I just have a codec to download to solve the problem. So it is a bit big, but the body and screen are thin. I do like the fact the screen is solid like a smartphone or tablet. Tablet mode works well enough, I don't use it extensively, but from what I've done to this point I have no complaints.

So far it's doing what I need it to. Fast processor, can handle a lot of Windows up at a time, great battery life. Only problems are that the key board is starting to act up sometimes and it badly overheats if any videos are playing. But I'm satisfied overall, way better than all of the HP's I've had
