This laptop is amazing for the price, just what I needed for work and play.

The laptop is good for it's price and i like it's configuration. I purchased it as a open box with a excellent condition so for the price I got it it's worth the take.

The ssd processor makes it great with the speed it onky takes few minutes for the computer to be loaded when turned on and the processing between different applications is faster than the past.

I wanted speed in processing, speed from a Solid State hard drive, battery life, touch screen for when I'm on the internet, and a 15 inch screen for my old eyes. Oh and I didn't want to spend twice the money with a Mac. I got everything I wanted in this Dell and have been really, really pleased with it. All my printers connected with no problem and it was a cinch to get my wifi up and running again - I'm really pleased!!

I bought this laptop for my son who is going off to college. We had planned on just looking at what they had at Best Buy and he simply fell in love with this one - I think it was the size mostly. It has a large screen surface. I kept trying to steer him to smaller, more classroom size but he wanted the larger screen and said he would be fine with wearing it in his backpack so we got it. I love that it has the solid state drive and as for power, it is well above his school's requirement so it should last 4 years. I did purchase the protection because I still fear he'll drop it or something. We went back to Best Buy a few weeks later to buy a good backpack for it and got the stylus he wanted and a mouse. I bought a locking cable from Dell directly. He is on it instead of his desktop everyday! He is amazed at speed and ease of connection throughout the house. I hope his Wi-Fi connection at school works, but I also bought Ethernet cable just in case. He does love it! I am happy that he is happy!

I have owned 5 different laptops from the 5 major manufacture's and this Dell has been the latest purchase. My laptops gets used for more than 12hrs a day as i am a full time electrical engineering student. Every laptop i have owned has had one issue or another that bothered me...But not this one! This Dell has outperformed my expectations. Not one issue! It is lighting fast from bootup to running multiple electrical applications that usually lock up other laptops instantly. The screen resolution is crisp and clear with a very vivid picture for viewing videos. I like that it is slim and lightweight with a durable brushed aluminum exterior that fits easy into my book bag. The keyboard layout it tight which seams to make typing more comfortable. The key strokes feel nice to my fingers and the back lit keyboard makes typing in dark areas simple on the eyes. The mouse pad is one of the best ive used, it has a grain like finish so you feel the pad under your fingertips. It is sensitive enough to function the way you would expect it should. no problem with scrolling. The best thing i like about this laptop is the on/off button. Its has the feel of a real toggle switch and you can clearly feel the click on/off so you wont accidentally hit it. I would highly recommend this for anyone who needs a dependable and durable laptop.

Would recommend this computer to anyone who is looking for a good laptop without totally breaking the budget. I know it is not the cheapest one around but you really can justify the extra cost for this laptop. With the solid state HD it loads up super fast, no more waiting forever to boot up or start programs! Also with the core i7 and the 12 GB of ram I have yet to find a situation that slows this beast down. No one likes waiting for their computer and this is by far the fastest computer I've ever owned. Combined with the sleek look and backlit keyboard(also huge for the value for typing at night or in low light) this laptop just Looks awesome! Will be nice to have the tablet feature for use with my daughter when she starts learning how to use it. As for longevity I can't say much as I've only owned it for a few weeks. Battery life is great though, only need to charge it every other day and that's with moderate use. With light use I can get by charging it once a week.

I really like the download and upload speed of this laptop. The tablet mode is wonderful and it is easy to use at a table or in a recliner by putting it in the tent position. The downside of this laptop is there is not a number pad, a cd drive, or an Ethernet port.

I have only had this laptop a few weeks and like it but there are few problems. The Good: Sharp FHD IPS screen for my photography, fast startup and shut down, backlit keyboard, The Bad: Battery life much less than indicated...about 3.5 hrs Slow internet at times, especially Yahoo mail. I don't know if it is the website, my WIFI or the laptop I don't really use the 2 in 1 tablet mode or the touch screen much... guess I'm old fashioned. I put the laptop on a wooden board on my lap while I watch TV and use a wired mouse.

I needed a new Laptop after my 11 year old Toshiba slowed to a halt. I researched many brands and asked a lot of questions and came to the conclusion that the Dell Inspirion 15 should last another 11 years. I like the speed, versatility and size of this machine. The lighted keyboard, flexible features, and touch screen are features I've never had before and are working well. Thanks, Dell and Best buy for a great product.

My 7 year old laptop died the week before school started & I had to replace it quickly. Didn't know anything about SSD drives but after speaking with the sales rep, I decided to go for a little more money. It does not have DVD player on it so I went for $19 & got an external drive. This 2 in 1 has blue tooth and wi-if which was a plus. It's mad fast and I like the facial recognition so I don't need a password. Keyboard lights up which I like to have even if it's not all that necessary.Tell them if you are a student for extra savings. All in all, I am very pleased with this purchase.

I bought this laptop to replace my older desktop as I also needed a new laptop for traveling and didn't want to buy two computers. It has been an adjustment, but the screen size makes it a little easier switch. It's larger than I realized, which makes it a little cumbersome for travel. I love the speed on startup. I'm not a tech person, so I don't really want to comment on the qualities. I went with this computer because of the solid state drive. Hoping for a longer lasting computer. I would definitely buy it again. The only reason it's not a 5 is because it really is too large to comfortably travel with.

The Solid State Drive (SSD) makes this computer load and process stuff very fast. No more Hard drives for me. Geeks did good too.

I have been using Dell computers for over 25 years and this is an excellent model. I recently purchased another brand and the mouse outlived the computer so I am back to Dell. Fast processor, good memory and the touch screen is really nice. It folds to a tablet but I have not tried that feature yet but the computer is a little large and heavy to be a tablet; or at least that is my opinion. While I really like this computer it is not a high-end workhorse but is great as a home computer.

My Dell Inspiron 15-7579 is absolutely the best laptop I've ever owned or used. It's fast. Loading an article or emails is done in an instant. Everything, print, pictures, anything you are viewing, is so clear & bright. Live streaming, watching a show or movie, the picture quality is great, sound is wonderful, I've had no problems with skipping, freezing or jumping around on the screen. I'm so happy to own this laptop. I'd highly recommend this laptop to family & friends.

I have never used a touch screen computer before, but love it. And the screen clarity is excellent. The computer is quite fast as it has a solid state hard drive. There are 2 things that I found a little annoying. When first using the computer I would hear the fan come on and the computer would go to sleep. This happened more often that I would have liked. I was going to call Dell to discuss but it quit doing this so I never did call. It's hard to believe that the computer got that hot as the fan ran for only a short period before the computer went to sleep. And I am still having some challenges with the keyboard/touch pad. This area is very sensitive to touch and it is very easy to have things happen that you did not plan to do. There is probably a learning curve with this. But overall very happy with this purchase.

I purchased this laptop in the past but I had to return it because I had some issues with it, I believe I got a defective one and I was worry to get a different one with the same issues so I did plenty of research trying to find the 'perfect' laptop but I wasn't able to find a better deal for a laptop with Intel core i7 and SSD so I decided to give this laptop another try. This time, it worked way better than the other time, the fan started to make weird noises again but I updated the BIOS and now it's quiet almost all the time. The laptop is very fast, the screen is gorgeous, easy to use, typing with its keyboard is a joy, it's quiet most of the time and it gets the jobs done! The only issues I have now are the speakers and the hinges which are not strong enough to hold it firm while I close it, so the screen falls on its own somewhat fast when I close it. But that's alright, these issues don't bother me that much, the most important thing is that the laptop is fast, secure and fully functional. There's no such thing as a perfect laptop, but this laptop is great for it's price.
