I have enjoyed using this Dell 2 In 1 16” Inspiron Laptop. My old one was about 13 years old and heavy as lead. This one is compact and easy to use. The touch screen also makes it nice. It is also very fast and it is all I need.
Also it was at an affordable price. I recommend the the Dell products. I also have a Dell Desk Top purchased last year.

I purchased this laptop about a month and a half ago and I am beyond satisfied! I have no complaints at all.
It runs fast and smooth, the battery life is awesome! I love the touch screen and that I can basically flip it into a tablet. I love everything about this laptop!! Definitely happy with this purchase!

I am a casual laptop user. Surfing the web, e-mail, spread sheets and occasional streaming a movie. This Dell has been great for those things. It is fast, with a good picture. The ighted keyboard is goid for nightime work.
Not so happy with the Geek squad contract I bought though. Thought they would transfer files and aps from old laptop. They do files only, and that would have taken 3 to 5 days to have done. Check before you buy a contract!

Really enjoying this 2 in 1. I like the keyboard more than any other laptop I've had, really smooth. The screen is awesome. It works very well with my wacom stylus pen in tablet mode. The only thing I would tell someone to consider a different product is, well, it's size. This thing is definitely ALL there. It's pretty heavy and then add on the size of it, it makes it cumbersome to hold in your hands on tablet mode. It needs to be on a surface that will help stabilize it. That's my only negative thing I've found so far and I would still purchase this item.

2 in 1 Productivity and Entertainment Win

Dell continues to evolve their line of laptops to meet the demands of productivity and entertainment needs, while pairing this with the newer 12th generation Intel processors. In the box, you’ll find the laptop, a power adapter with detachable cord, and some basic warranty information.
At first glance, the laptop casing has an aluminum like finish and is about the same thickness of some other premium laptop models. It has a backlit keyboard with two brightness settings (or off), and a glass like feeling over the mousepad and wrist rest areas. There are two USB-C (thunderbolt), a USB A, and a full size HDMI output on the left hand side. The right side has 3.5mm headphone jack, a USB A port, and a memory card slot which is great for those wanting to do some photo editing or other content recorded on an external memory card.
Powering on the laptop for the first time, and you're welcomed by the Windows 11 setup, including needing to sign in to a Microsoft account. You’ll also notice a fingerprint sensor on the power button, and be given an option to set this up for easy login to your new PC. The setup reminded me of similar experiences on other devices, requiring you to tap the button multiple times and in different angles. There were several Windows updates, along with a Dell Firmware update. You’ll need to plan out several minutes for the updates process, with the firmware update taking several minutes to complete.
Dell has also included the McAfee software, which I promptly uninstalled since I had my own paid antivirus with another vendor. Outside of the McAfee software, you’ll find some proprietary Dell software to control display settings; such as enabling a “movie mode” like picture setting. The speakers are plenty loud for most use, especially if you’re in a quieter setting. The touchscreen is very responsive, with the clamshell folding all the way back, turning off the keyboard, and turning the laptop into a large responsive tablet.
This does use Intel based graphics, which was great for casual gaming sessions, but would struggle with some AAA gaming titles on lower settings. The WiFi 6 works great, offering great in-network speeds to my file server, and didn’t hiccup once with online streaming services. If you’re lucky enough to have a mesh network system, you’ll enjoy faster online speeds closer to ISP provided speeds. The included cards slot made transferring photos from my Sony camera a breeze, although I didn’t notice some general oddness with Windows 11 during large file transfers. The full size HDMI port will support HDR output to an HDR capable monitor, with HDR lacking on the built-in display.
Overall, this is a great laptop for general productivity and casual entertainment use. The full HD display is clear and bright in a fully lit room, but you will notice some light bleeding from the backlight in darker scenes. This being a newer generation of 12th gen EVO processors meant it had a quick charge time, with a longer battery life, and the built integrated graphics did a good job keeping up with some casual games in lower settings. If you’re in the market for a good quality laptop, with versatile use, this is a really solid option.

When I hear '2 in 1' it usually means a sacrifice in one area or another. But this device is pretty competent across all fields of general computer usage. Design has a Apple-esque look and feel, sleek in form and function.
Major stand outs are the sound and picture quality. This is the device the kids as for when they want to stream videos or play their Roblox game. With its dual stereo speakers I can run Spotify and I don't even need to connect to an external bluetooth speaker. I had to tell the kids to actually turn the volume down when playing games, that's how loud and clear the audio quality is on this device, more than capable in volume and sound quality. HDR looks great on the screen. Colors are rich without being over saturated. I can make out details in images regardless of deep shadows or bright brights.
As with every device battery life will vary with usage and settings. But the kids finish their session before the battery gives out, running on standard setting. I love that it has a physical camera screen that slides into place to block the camera lens if you need the assurance that no one can spy on you.
Physically, the keys, touch pad, and touchscreen are all responsive and don't feel cheap. Again, since kids have low patience for input lag, or any other kind of hindrance or bottleneck, this 2 in 1 can keep up with all the fast little fingers touching the screen. And the cooling fan is very quiet. If i wasn't specifically trying to hear how loud it would get, I probably wouldn't even notice it when it goes on.
All in all, this device was wonderful to work from. I can't think of any task that it performed subpar. From build quality, to UI interface, to real world function. In relation to its hardware and internal specs, I could not ask for more from this 2 in 1.

I'll be honest I should have gone with the i7 version but the i5 handles most of the work decently . 16 inch display is nice it's 1080p but the frame rate is amazing it's way more than 60hz. You can do some gaming all i tried was Fortnite it was good enough. Now where I see the i5 struggles a bit i ran 4 operations at once, 2 updating applications, 1 excel and had YouTube on. I had a wait a little bit to do my spread sheet at times. So if you have the money go for the i7 or don't have that many heavy applications running . The speakers were good for me. Touch screen is nice. You have a fingerprint key for those of you that hate typing pins . It's also the power button . The power adapter is small you can fit it anywhere. The mouse is impressive it says it's glass I'm not worried that it will break but either way it's smooth. The front camera has a privacy cover built in for those who are concerned about someone hacking your camera. The unit itself is made from aluminum definitely premium feel . So thank Dell for another amazing product

Large 16" display with excellent build quality

I already own a gaming laptop, but its design was very distracting and it performance came at a cost in noise/battery life. I wanted something reliable with a professional look for a home business. This laptop is perfect for mixed business (and lite personal use) with excellent build quality, a clean look, decent battery life and a large, clear display for collaborating on custom designs with customers. I also like that the display can be flipped to allow the laptop to be used as a tablet with its own stand (tent mode) - this helps get the built-in keyboard out of the way when you don't need it.
I was prepared to be disappointed with the mid-range specs, but I have not had any performance issues. RAM utilization is high (70-90% for me), but I have had a few programs open at the same time across multiple external displays without any lag. Windows 11 really seems to work well - even fully shutdown, it only takes 5-10 seconds to boot and resources are managed well. It also helps that Dell really limited the preinstalled software (bloatware) leaving just over 400GB of hard drive space available for storage.
Notes
- Large 16" WUXGA touchscreen display is clear with good color and brightness. WUXGA works better with this screen size with more pixels than a normal full HD display. The touchscreen is responsive and even works for drawing a quick sketch with your finger. The display is also low blue light certified to help with fatigue.
- Great build quality. The brushed silver case has a nice texture and solid feel. The hinges are beefy looking and tight - very important on a laptop that allows the screen to rotate to be used as a tablet when needed.
- The design looks professional, with an understated, premium look - no crazy vents, colors, lights or plastic chrome.
- It is portable, but the large screen and solid build mean that it can start to feel heavy after a bit and it is awkward for me to hold with out a hard surface to use it on.
- The finger print reader built into the power button is a great idea - it has worked perfectly and makes logging in easy (once you program it by touching it like a hundred times).
- Large multi-finger touchpad that allows scrolling and zooming. There is almost no bezel and you can usually reach the entire screen without lifting your finger - one of the best I have ever used.
- Back lit keyboard with decent key travel - I would prefer slightly more return pressure, but it is very quiet. I appreciate the decent key spacing and size, but the trade off is no dedicated number pad which I do miss.
- Plenty of ports (full sized HDMI, USB A x 2, USB C x 2*, a headphone jack). *One of the USB C ports is used for charging or a dock, but thankfully you don't need an adapter to connect a HDMI monitor or normal USB A accessory. I connected this to a HP branded USB-C thunderbolt dock (I already had it from work) and it connected right away - allowing me to work on 3 displays (built-in + 2 external monitors).
- Built in SD card reader (hard to find now).
- Bluetooth accessories connected quickly with no issues using my wireless keyboard and mouse.
- Web camera has a manual privacy shutter (no sticky note needed) and works fine for video conferencing. It is not perfect, but decent compared to others I have used with some noise/graininess, but good brightness under normal household light.
- Speakers have plenty of volume and are very clear. There is no distortion at full volume, but they do lack bass (not surprising given the size and space).
- Battery life is decent. I am averaging 5-6 hours, not hard use, but not in battery saving mode either. Dell includes a battery utility to adjust the charging pattern to avoid battery damage when you expected to have the laptop plug in for an extended period of time.

Like most Dell laptop recently, the design language is elegant and sleek. The aluminum chassis feels good to the touch. Although prone to scratching if not careful, the finish does not attract fingerprints. The lid moves with some effort, so no one-handed opening. However, this keeps it nice and stable in any position the device is in. The front dashboard flexes a bit when pressing and the panel bends ever so slightly. Coming at a little over 4.5 lbs., it can put some stress in the bag and can be tiring in tablet mode. Overall, it is very well built.
The keyboard feels good when typing, but I wish they were a bit more “clicky”. The layout is easy to get used to and the key lighting works well. The laptop offers Windows Hello through a fingerprint reader on the power key. Sadly, this model does not offer face recognition. However, it does feature instant-on which turns on the PC when opening it. Dell continues to deliver a huge trackpad that is highly responsive and allows for full finger gestures.
Being a 2-in-1, switching between traditional laptop, tent, entertainment, and tablet mode is easy. The rigid hinges help in keeping the shape it’s in. All the modes bring a good level of functionality, but I will say that using it in tablet mode has one major drawback, which is that the laptop is rather heavy, so note taking can be difficult for some. Speaking of notes, the touchscreen is also very responsive, allows for full gestures, and is also digital pen-compatible, which can be purchased separately. I already had one and it works nicely with very little lag.
As with almost all laptops, the quad-speakers are nothing to get too excited about. The sound is good though, lacking some bass, but it does come clear at normal volumes.
There are plenty of ports in this laptop. You have USB-A, USB-C Thunderbolt 4, SD-card reader, HDMI 1.4, and a 3.5 mm audio jack. The laptop has an 87Wh battery, so I was able to use it for almost and entire work day without going to the 65w charger, which can fully charge it back in about 2 hours.
Although it offers an FHD+ 1920x1200, 60Hz display, the picture looks great and is vivid. I do enjoy the 16:10 ratio for web surfing. The color gamut is good enough to allow for light video and picture editing, and the HDR capability provides deep blacks, solid whites, and good contrast overall. Even though the panel is glossy and reflective, having 300nits of brightness helps in those sunny days.
This model comes with a 12th i5-1235UA processor which is no pushover, and an Intel® Iris® Xe Graphics Card. One must keep in mind that this laptop is designed for productivity, light content creation, and content consumption, and for that it is great and buttery smooth. However, I was able to play some simple games that didn’t take too much space, since it only has a 512GB SSD. As with other Dell laptops, this model can easily be upgraded with more DDR4 RAM -since it only has 8GB, and a second NVMe SSD, which can be relatively inexpensive. There is a higher option with a 4k OLED display, an i7, and more RAM, but it will take this laptop into much pricier territory.
This laptop is ready with Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 so connectivity will not be an issue. I am so glad that Dell opted for a 1080p 30fps camera, which should be the standard nowadays. It provides clear, bright pictures and the microphone works better than expected. I also appreciate the very convenient privacy slider.
In the end, the Inspiron 16 2-in-1 laptop provides everything you’d need for a business and casual environment, without breaking the bank. The quality, functionality, and versatility are undeniable.

I love my new Dell laptop. It is lightning quick and the cross reference from a PC on my network is remarkable. I've never had a laptop that I could access a file from another computer and finish it in my laptop. Truly remarkable. Also, the battery lasts an incredibly long time. I have an Apple that died, was charged up and died again, and my Dell was still going! Love it!
