Purchased to replace previous Dell Inspiron Touchscreen after hard drive crash.
Pros: Improved Fast CPU, RAM, and storage as described with Intel i7 processor. Liked the fact it was not Pre installed with Office 360 subscription, so I could download Office with one time fee from Best Buy and easily install. Stunning graphics, with this offering slightly larger 16” screen. Great camera.
Cons: The speakers are up facing next to the keyboard, and top volume is minimal, compared to previous Dell. The VERY large touchpad active touch space is in actuality very minimal inside the pad only 2-3 inches. Completely touch, no right or left click buttons, so learning the location of touch points was a pain. Was auto setup for 2, 3 and 4 finger touch options, so sent the cursor everywhere, opened apps, inadvertently combined folders, a nightmare, just disabled. Cursor seems to have a mind of its own, despite adjusting all cursor settings and pad sensitivity settings. Necessarily purchased an external wireless mouse (hasn’t been necessary to own one in 15 years of touchpad use). Maybe Dell with offer software update, to address, but so far, not included in their update downloads.

Hi Valued Customer,
We would like to thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. We are glad you like some of the features of your new Dell Inspiron 7620 2-in-1 laptop but we are sorry to hear you are not 100% satisfied with it because of the speakers’ volume and the touchpad.
Below I have provided the steps to run the Microsoft Sound Troubleshooter. I have also included the full article link that has more options if they are needed. We also suggest making sure the audio drivers are up to date on your PC. I have given you a link to the Drivers and Downloads page for your computer below so you can check for and do any applicable updates.
How to run the Windows Sound Troubleshooter in Microsoft Windows 10 1. Click Start, and then select Settings (gear icon). 2. Click Update & Security and select Troubleshoot. 3. Click Playing Audio and then click Run the troubleshooter. 4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the troubleshooting process.
Some Notebooks and Tablets with Keyboards have added gesture features to the touchpad hardware and drivers. A few of these features are two or three-finger scrolling, pinch zoom, circle zoom, rotation, and swiping. These new features may be the reason for the erratic cursor movement since most are turned on by default. You can disable or modify the way the features work in the touchpad driver properties. Here are some tips to modify these settings:
1. In the Search box, type main.cpl. 2. Touch or click main.cpl in the list of programs. 3. Touch or click the Dell Touchpad tab. 4. Touch or click on the picture of the touchpad. 5. Touch or click Gestures (depending on your computer there may not be a Gestures option). 6. Change the options as preferred. 7. Touch or click Save. 8. Touch or click the X in the upper-right corner to close the Dell Touchpad Utility. 9. Touch or click OK on the Mouse Properties window. 10. If the touchpad still does not work after following the preceding steps, refer to Dell Knowledge Base article - http://dell.to/2iaiujA.
After utilizing the troubleshooting options provided, if the problem is not resolved, please contact our support team for further guidance here: 1-800-624-9896.
Best, Katarina@Dell

Large screen. Loud speakers. Fast processor, and a lot of RAM. Only downside is that the fingerprint reader is less reliable than with previous models.

We bought this as a graduation gift for my daughter as she is preparing to go to college and she immediately began setting it up and customizing it and has been on it daily ever since. Its very user friendly, set up was a breeze, and the battery life is amazing. Pair that with a touchscreen and this laptop is perfect for the next generation. We always opt for an SSD option and higher memory to ensure we have space for faster streaming and software such as the Adobe Suite, so this purchase was a no brainer. Thanks, Dell for again outfitting our family with the perfect tech!

Great laptop - I think Dell finally nailed it out of the park with this one.
Pros -
+ Love the 16" aspect ratio
+ Great performance
+ Thermals are great too - it doesn't ever get too hot and the fans barely come on
+ Dream of a keyboard to type on - the travel is perfect even better than my Dell XPS daily driver
+ Great sounding speakers
+ Excellent battery life - I get around 10-14 hours with varied usage including screen at max brightness and multimedia usage. Pretty sure can stretch higher with lower brightness
Cons
- It's a heavy laptop at just under 5 lbs but it's no big deal as I do not plan on traveling it every day
- Dell apps including SupportAssist are iffy at best - overall, haven't been a big fan of Dell in the past but in this particular instance, I think they've really done a great job with the hardware

Overall this computer has served me well. It is fast, reliable and has plenty of storage for different software. The only bad thing I have to say about it is that the touchpad started malfunctioning very early on. I exclusively use a usb mouse because the touchpad is almost unworkable.

There's some real value here. The image quality is fantastic, the processor is super fast and the SSD is plenty for me since most of my storage is in the cloud anyway. It's light weight makes is very easy to carry even with its 16" screen.
I looked at others like this but they are so much more expensive. I'm very pleased with this purchase.

For an open box, I didn't know what to expect. But this laptop is great! I am not a techy person, so for what I need, this does it all. I do a lot of online medical labs and activities, so the bigger screen is perfect for that. And streaming movies. It's quiet and very easy to work and set up. If you can catch a deal and don't mind a bigger laptop, I'd say this is one to consider.
