Big Dissapointment!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not good at all. I have now been back to the store 3 times and had Geek Squad out to my house 2 times and then worked with 2 different Geek Squad/TotalTech associates two more times. I have totally lost all confidence in the Dell Product. I dont even want to try again. I am so very disappointed in the product and very disappointed in Best Buy.

Great value, fits my wife's use case perfectly
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Dell Inspiron 24” AIO fills the space between a laptop and a desktop computer. The footprint and capabilities are equivalent to a work laptop but with a screen size typically reserved for a desktop. The Inspiron AIO has a Ryzen 5 5625U 15-Watt laptop class CPU. The CPU leverages an integrated Radeon GPU which saves space in the case and removes the need for expensive, exotic cooling solutions to keep the CPU/GPU cool. I have been using the Inspiron AIO for several days for general office work, Netflix, YouTube, and consuming web content. Sometimes all of this at the same time with the aid of an external monitor. Not once have I heard a fan. The footprint is limited to a narrow triangle stand, a narrow bare-bones wireless keyboard, and a basic wireless mouse. The power supply is about the size of a typical Dell Latitude laptop power supply. And that is it. The power supply is the only cable coming off this system. And that is easily hidden behind the Inspiron AIO. There are tree USB-A style connections (one taken up by the keyboard and mouse wireless receiver) and a single USB-C style connector. There is an HDMI input and HDMI output port. A single RJ-45 gigabyte network port. An SD Card port for additional storage or transfer of files and photos from other devices. And an audio out port. The Inspiron AIO has Bluetooth connectivity. I was able to setup my wireless headphones through Windows 11 Bluetooth & Devices screen under Settings. I was also able to connect to my home network with no issues. I was able to see my other Windows 10/11 devices, storage devices, TVs, Receivers, Printers, and other devices on my network. Printing to my local HP Printer was as simple as picking it from my print screen drop down list and pressing the print button. Windows has come a long way. Loading applications is generally quick. This is thanks to the 8GB of memory that ships with the Inspiron AIO. I currently own two computers with 4GB of memory: one with Windows 10 and one with Windows 11. 4GB of memory is enough to run Windows 10/11 but nothing runs well. 8GB is the magic minimum amount of memory required to deliver both a clean application experience and allow for some level of multi-tasking. In my case, I wrote a Best Buy review on a Dell Inspiron AIO in MS Word, had a large Excel Spreadsheet in the background, several MS Edge tabs open, watched a YouTube video, and ran an external 24” monitor as an extended desktop. I pushed 7GB of total memory usage but did not stress the system enough to cause any lag between task switching nor did I experience any issues working with any one of these applications. The Ryzen 5 5625U has 6 Cores and 12 total threads for multi-tasking. The CPU had zero issues managing all of my open applications. The keyboard is very narrow. It is a full keyboard complete with number pad and F keys. The keys are chicklet style without backlighting. The underlying keyboard technology is membrane and not mechanical. The keys are very stiff. Much stiffer than your average work laptop. A half hour of typing is enough to fatigue my fingers. I typically type all day and do not run into fatigue. Maybe the keys will soften up after a break in period but I have no guarantee of that. Most likely I will replace the keyboard with something higher end. The mouse is a basic three button mouse. There is the standard right button, left button, scroll wheel, and the scroll wheel doubles as a third button. The included Dell software does allow for the adjustment of the DPI settings. From a practical perspective the DPI setting will control how fast the mouse pointer moves across the screen. The included Dell software does allow for the F1 to F12 keys to be reprogrammed to functions other than the default printed on each key. The scroll wheel button can also be assigned a function. The 24” touch screen is of good quality. But, for some reason, the default refresh is set to 59.94 Hz. My eyes are very sensitive to strobing. Just below 60 Hz was enough to bother me. Luckly, I was able to reset the monitor refresh to 60 Hz. Windows will allow me to set the screen to 75 Hz, which would be even better for my eyes, but the screen apparently cannot handle the higher refresh. Second, at 1080p, this monitor is not as sharp as I would expect. It feels more like a 27” 1080p monitor that has a lower DPI than I would expect from a standard 24” monitor with a denser DPI. To compensate, I set Windows Scale to 125% in the Settings/System/Display screen. This only bothers me when working with text at 100% scale. Again, I can compensate. The secondary monitor I used is a 24” gaming monitor that can reach 240 Hz. I was able to run the Inspiron AIO 24” monitor at 60 Hz and the 24” external gaming monitor at 240 Hz at the same time without any issues. If I wanted to, I could have disabled the Inspiron AIO monitor so that the integrated GPU could focus all its resources on the gaming monitor. But that would defeat the purpose of owning a computer like this. There are only two buttons on the Inspiron AIO: power and video select. Changing brightness, for example, must be done through Windows 100. By default, the screen is set to 100%. This was way too bright for me and for the room I generally work from. The slider allows me to turn down the backlighting to almost nothing. Which I really love. I have laptops that cannot reach low dimming levels and can, and do, hurt my eyes in very low lighting situations. I am happy with how dim the Inspiron AIO can get. What do I not like about the Inspiron AIO. First, gaming stinks. And so it should. This is not a gaming computer nor is it billed as a gaming computer. But, I had to try anyway. First up was Fortnite. This game will play on anything including this Inspiron AIO. The graphics are good enough. I was able to maintain 60 FPS throughout gameplay. But the input lag was terrible. I still managed to hold my own in a few engagements using just the included wireless mouse and keyboard. Realistically, this game is not enjoyable on this system. Next, I tried Civilization V. Load times and times between turns were exceptionally slow. The game, and system, simply stopped responding around turn 20. I had to force reboot the system because all applications on the system became unresponsive. I am sure this will run some simple games like what you will find in the Microsoft Store. But the Inspiron AIO is not a platform for modern AAA titles. Touch controls are excellent. I did not have any issues using the touch screen capabilities of the system. The Inspiron AIO has a built-in pop-up camera. The image quality is equivalent to a Dell Latitude laptop. It gets the job done but not much more. The optics are not good enough for Windows Hello image recognition sign-in. The camera is also not good enough to capture fine details. For example, I took a photo of the instructions that shipped with the Inspiron AIO. I could not read the text in the photograph. It is good for video conferencing when bandwidth is a major concern. Which makes it ideal for MS Teams and Zoom meetings. Which, in all honesty, is what the camera was designed for. I do like the fact that the camera can be hidden inside the body of the Inspiron AIO. This prevents bad actors from taking over my camera and spying on me. Overall, I am pleased with this system. In my opinion, this computer will make a good student computer, work computer, general home use computer, and is good for anyone who is looking for a general computing experience with a larger screen than a laptop. The Inspiron AIO setup is as simple as setting up a laptop. In my case, this computer is going to be setup on a desk in my basement and used for general computing, some light office work, and drive my wife’s Cricut machine and accompanying design software. She currently uses a laptop with a 15” screen and often complains that she wished she could have a larger screen without taking up additional space on the work bench. The Inspiron AIO fits her use case perfectly. We will get many years of use from this system.

Decent Budget Option
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you’re looking for a top of the line pc option with all of the bells and whistles this may not be for you. But if you want a compact clutter-free option that does what the average user will need then you will definitely want to keep this one in mind. Setup was pretty simple and fast…I think I was done in less that 15 minutes. Everything that you need is included. This isn’t a computer that a true gamer will benefit from at all but if you dabble in a little light/basic gaming you will be perfectly fine using this. Video looked great (by video I mean viewing things like YouTube videos or social media which in on par for what families may utilize this for). The speakers have decent sound but nothing to get overly excited about. The touchscreen is quite responsive. While this is my first time using a touchscreen all-in-one desktop style computer I have been impressed by how well it works. I wouldn’t say it’s the best touchscreen experience I have ever had (compared to some tablets I have used) but it’s definitely not bad or lacking in any way that makes it unusable. Ultimately I think this is perfect for students, families, or anyone that just needs a good computer that does what you need it to without a lot of fuss.

Powerful clean space saving concept
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I actually really like the concept of the Dell all-in-one desktop and design overall. But I do not like the fact that Dell is slightly misleading by including a Ryzen AMD processor and dubbing it a gaming desktop. But that would not dissuade me or others that are in the market for something like this all in one. Unboxing is straight forward, packaged nice to protect the monitor/touchscreen – which I will get back to a little later, two angled leg stands easily attached with zero tools needed, power cord, nice entry level wireless keyboard and mouse that include batteries, plug in, place, update, sign on, and your ready to go! Simple as 1, 2, 3… First impressions after setting up… yes I have a more spec ready gaming setup elsewhere, but that is not why I got this all in on, so for what its purpose is I am highly satisfied, or should I say my wife is happily satisfied since it is her setup. This “desktop” comes with all the specs needed for impressive computing at a little above entry level. It has a nice 23.8" IPS touchscreen that does not reflect a lot of glare and produces beautiful 1080 crisp resolution. It has a nice hideaway webcam that pops up with a simple touch and can be pushed down when not in use if you want that extra sense of privacy knowing that your webcam isn’t staring you in the face. It has all the connectivity you will need to start with (1 HDMI, 4 USB ports total – 2 usb 3.1A, 1 usb 3.2A, and a slick 1 usb 3.2 type C on the side which you can easily add another usb hub station or use to quickly connect any peripheral or use for quick charging. The speakers included are placed directly on the lower front designed in the likeness of a pc soundbar. The speakers are very impressive for what they are. There is no need to purchase a standalone sound system for this pc unless you are looking for room deafening sound. These speakers get loud and produce pleasant undistorted untinned sound. The wireless keyboard and mouse are a little bit above the usual entry level that are included with most pc’s. The full size keyboard has a nice feel to it and they key response is good and somewhat has a tick feedback. The mouse is just okay. It all works as it should and gets you a jumpstart on where you might want to go with this desktop. Internals are very good for an all in one desktop, it has a 512 GB SSD which is a good start but not a lot if you are wanting to use for gaming… at least installed games. It comes with a blazing fast AMD Ryzen 5 processer with 6 cores and 8GB of DDR Ram which can be upgraded to 32GB with a second slot available, which is super nice to be able to do in an all in one! Now for the usage and productivity…. This thing is made to be a space saver and clean up all the dangly hanging “stuff” of a conventional setup… it excels at that 110%. I really love the setup and design with the angled leg stands on a beautiful 23.8” screen. The screen has angle adjustments to get the perfect viewing angle even though there is little to no glare on the matte finish IPS screen. Back to the touch screen, it is a cool concept, but not very practical on a desktop setup that is going to be used for the traditional computing. Now if this was going to be used as point of sale or register type setup for a small or home business… it would be perfect. I tried using the touchscreen interface which is nice for random select and open items but I felt myself reverting back to key and mouse. It felt almost uncomfortable reaching for the screen on a desktop setup. So, touchscreen a no go for us for what we are using it for. Processing speeds are impressive with quick start up and fantastic multi-tasking., There is little to no lag on power eating applications such as video/photo editing, hobby project programs (i.e.. Cricut, Adobe, etc..). Streaming is super nice with the touchscreen and front facing speakers. Everything that you possibly want to do with this desktop it is more than capable other than the hard core gaming. Now you can game on this respectively with the AMD Ryzen processor and AMD Radeon GPU, but with graphic intensive games, it will need to be a t the lowest settings. I played a couple of games before I got as little frustrated with the memory warnings and low fps which were throttled down to below 60 fps and averaging 35-45 fps which made the game not enjoyable for what I’m used to. But, a big BUT, I did not get this to game on, so that is not a turn off. This desktop is being used as my wife’s project center for her small business/hobby station. For this it works perfect and has all the processing speed that we need and we can always upgrade a bit if needed. The major plus is the all in one space saving and cord cleaning concept of this desktop. We are able to have an above entry level powerful setup that meets all her needs plus. We are very happy with this all in one and actually added a second monitor to add to her multitasking abilities since we saved on space. It works wonders as her setup and she is super happy as am I.

Great for work, school or even cloud gaming!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Dell - Inspiron 24" Touch screen All-In-One is an excellent computer for home or office. While you wont be doing any high end gaming on this PC, you will be able to get lots of work done. Out of the box, you will get the 24" all in one computer, a wireless key board and mouse, as well as two feet for the PC to rest on. Set up is extremely quick, you will not need any tools and should only take a few minutes. On first start up, you will of course have to sign in, select your personal preferences and then update windows. The updating part will take some time as there were many updates to download when I first used this PC. This computer's overall performance was pretty good. It opens up programs quickly and no noticeable or excessive lag while using basic programs or browsing the internet. The sound is decent for what it is. You lose some sound quality at higher volumes for sure. I've done everything from word processing, media consumption and even gaming via XBOX cloud gaming and the overall experience was great. As I stated in the beginning, you wont be able to do any hardcore gaming on this rig. However, the Xbox cloud gaming, or any cloud gaming service, is definitely an option. I played some Halo infinite multiplayer on this computer and it worked pretty well. Overall, if you are looking for a solid PC for work or school this one is definitely sufficient and you won't be disappointed.

Good as a secondary machine or in the bedroom.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Need a secondary desktop machine? One for the bedroom or in a guest room? This will fit the bill nicely. The biggest "gotcha" that may catch someone who buys this off guard is the stand. The "feet" on the monitor are much like that of the ones in most TVs these days, as opposed to the stand that nearly all monitors come on. Because of this - you will need a wider area for the monitor to sit on than the typical 6/8/10 inches that the base of a monitor stand would normally fit on. It's not a powerhouse machine, but its no slouch either. I think it's best role would be watching videos on , whether it be YouTube, Neflix,Hulu, Facebook, or even TicToc videos. It's a nicely sized screen and you should have no issues seeing whatever you want to watch on any streaming service. The RAM included is only 8GB, but should easily be upgradable to 16GB. I haven't cracked the machine open to look as it does everything I want it to as-is, and I believe most folks who purchase this unit will find the same for their purposes. Another quality dell product!

Decent, Budget, Casual Gaming PC
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've owned many different brands of personal computers, as well as, gaming PCs. Dell is a recognizable, long-standing brand that has always been among those I consider for myself or when recommending potential options to others. This Dell Inspiron 24" Touch Screen All-in-One is a beauty to look at. I'm really loving the visual aspect of this computer. The black chassis, the simple yet sturdy feet, the narrow frame around the screen, the speaker along the bottom edge of the display ... all this very much appeals to me. As far as initial setup of this Dell computer, going through the process of letting Windows 11 do its thing, didn't take an exceptionally long time. As always, it was the updates which took some time. I'm still getting used to Windows 11, navigating the differences between this version of the operating system, and Windows 10. There are some things I like about it, while there are other features I wish had remained the same. Now, when looking for a gaming computer, integrated graphics is something I do not recommend. And unfortunately, this Dell Inspiron has just that, which is a key factor with regards to how well this computer performs (or rather doesn't) when playing graphic intensive games. Now, this Dell may be "good enough" to play certain types of games, but for the games I routinely play, it just didn't cut it. In the benchmark test I initially ran, this Inspiron failed miserably, and was barely passable on just the standard graphic setting. Once in-game, I had to turn off just about all of those 'nice little' visual effects which serve to enhance the overall look of the game, and generally elevates the gaming experience. In addition, I had to turn my in-game settings to "low", as well, which also diminished my enjoyment. But even doing that, the games played sluggishly. So much was lost. I will say that based upon my own experience, I've become more appreciative of the newer AMD Ryzen processors. The brand has come a long way, and this Ryzen 5 does what's required of it here. However, the 8gb of system memory definitely seems lacking, and is yet another factor contributing to the performance of this Dell Inspiron computer. The 512gb SSD drive is a more preferable option instead of a traditional hard-drive for sure, and should provide enough storage; though an external storage drive can always be used if more is needed. The screen size is adequate. Display visuals were clear and vibrant. Nothing spectacular, but not bad either. And while a touch screen is nice, it's never a deciding factor for me. There is an array of necessary 'ports' on the rear of this all-in-one monitor, as well as, a USB-C on the right hand side edge of the display. Fairly handy there. The sound coming from the on-board speakers was what you'd expect. But using a gaming headset or external speakers would offset this Dell's rather lackluster audio. For those concerned with internet "security" or who have young children, the 'pop-up' webcam may be an important feature. I really like how the newer all-in-one computers have designed their webcams, as the camera can be hidden away until you want to use it. The keyboard and mouse are pretty basic, and rather "cheap" feeling. But having them included along with the computer, is convenient though, and they can always be upgraded later. Bottom line: While I really like this Dell Inspiron 24" Touch Screen All-in-One Computer, understand that it IS a budget oriented PC. And when it comes to gaming, it's only really useful for those who aren't going to be wanting to play graphic intensive games; it simply isn't made for that. But for games requiring lower, more average graphic demands, it should handle them just fine.

A good All-in-one for your everyday needs.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Dell Inspiron 24” All-in-one computer is a good computer for the casual gamer or a space that is limited or small desk. The all-in-one design is space saving by combine the PC, Monitor and speakers in a compact design, dell calls it a clean space design where the keyboard can be ‘parked’ and built-in cable management for an uncluttered look. The specs of this PC are mid-range if you plan to use this for working, school, browsing the web, and consuming streaming video, which it does all of that well and you will not be disappointed. However, if you are looking for a gaming rig, this is not for you. Casual games will run on this, but if you are trying to use it to play COD or racing games, look elsewhere. It doesn’t have a dedicated video graphics card so it simply cannot handle those more intensive games. I have a separate gaming rig so that was not a concern for me, but just keep that in mind. One of my favorite features is the ability to use this as a second monitor for my gaming rig via the HDMI Input. There is also a HDMI output, 3 USB Type A ports, Ethernet port, SD card reader, and a USB Type C power port located on the side of the monitor for easy access. The built in 720p Webcam can be hidden inside the monitor for privacy. Dell has included a wireless mouse and keyboard with batteries, and they work well, but the keyboard is a little small for my taste, but beyond that there are no complaints there. This PC has a built in Wi-Fi 6 AX card and I can utilize the full speed of my cable modem of 400+ Mbps but is actually rated for much faster speeds. The built-in speakers are good enough for most applications, but I mainly use my Bluetooth headset which connects fast and without issues so far. I am not the biggest fan of Windows 11, so I won’t complain about that here, but it was nice that Dell has not installed a lot of bloatware on the PC. If you are in the market for a good all-around PC and do not need the latest graphics for gaming, then I can recommend this as a possible solution. It will check most of all the boxes that I am looking for.

Nice touch screen computer for the a new gamer!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Dell Inspiron 24" Touch screen All-In-One is one of the best-looking PCs I've seen. It has an amiable desktop design. And with no cords, the included wireless mouse and keyboard make for a lovely workspace. The 22.8 touch screen had a very fluid response. But when it came to gaming, it seemed to have trouble keeping up with the graphics of the game. And I was kind of shocked, that being that it had a Radeon graphics card. The AMD Ryzen processor was pretty quick for every other task, though. The eight gigs of onboard memory again came up short for gaming. And also, being a gaming PC, the 512 GB solid-state drive will fill up very quickly because most games require about 30 gigs to play. It comes with the other two bells and whistles. It has a built-in SD media reader for photo transfer. Dell also incorporated a webcam that pops out the top so you can use most of the chatting apps for meetings or just being social. It has the latest Wi-Fi 6, so you'll get a quick connection on most of the latest routers. And also office dual screen support with AIO. I have not used it yet, though. Overall, it's a pretty lovely build. Though it needs more onboard RAM and possibly doubles the solid-state drive size, it's still not a deal-breaker.

A decent all in one for basic gaming and computing
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Dell - Inspiron 24" Touch screen All-In-One - AMD Ryzen 5 - 8GB Memory - 512GB SSD – Black is a decent all-in-one computer for someone who is a moderate gamer and uses their computer for the basic data, video, music, social media and other computing actions. Set up is easy as continually pressing enter. I was up and running within fifteen minutes. I used my fingers on the touch screen to complete setup. The Dell - Inspiron 24" Touch screen All-In-One - AMD Ryzen 5 - 8GB Memory - 512GB SSD – Black has a pop up camera on the top of the screen that is a great addition with the microphone to communicate with others online. Reaction time for my gaming experiences was fairly instantaneous. I do not play first person shooter games so I cannot critique how well the Dell - Inspiron 24" Touch screen All-In-One - AMD Ryzen 5 - 8GB Memory - 512GB SSD – Black would react with those types of games. The graphics during playing games has great pixilation with powerful colors of animation. Almost similar to a gaming system the Dell - Inspiron 24" Touch screen All-In-One - AMD Ryzen 5 - 8GB Memory - 512GB SSD – Black can provide a decent gaming experience for moderate gamers.

Best Buy is horrible
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very disappointed not only in Best Buy, but Dell as well. Purchased this PC in August 2024, i just use it at home, nothing fancy. No display all of a sudden , will not turn on , blank screen, i called Best Buy and was told bring it in, we will charge you $99 for a inspection fee and let you know whats wrong with it! Are you kidding me? I then contacted Dell who had me tey ro troubleshoot it to no avail. Dell said its likely the memory stick? Either way, he stated the computer is still under warranty and they were sending a tech out to my home to repair it at NO CHARGE. Best Buy, you lost al9ng term customer in Weatherford Tx..

Beware
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for my husband for Christmas after copious amounts of research. Was so excited to have a new computer. It worked great for 8 days, then started showing screen that said it needed a systems check run. Three days, and multiple checks run, and the computer is worthless. Just says unable to load windows correctly. I will be returning it to Best Buy in the morning. Very disappointed!!!
