The 24” i3 Dell Inspiron touch screen All-In-One is a great computer for every day and office tasks in a nice, tidy package. This model features the latest generation of Intel’s i3 chipset, mated to 8 gigs of RAM, a 256GB solid state hard drive, plenty of USB ports, and of course a matte 1080p HD touch screen. To help ensure a clutter free environment, Dell even includes a wireless keyboard and mouse to keep the wires out of the way. Despite the keyboard body being a bit flimsy, it works well, with good range and silent, soft keystrokes. The mouse tracks well and both peripherals are finel for everyday general usage and office work. Maybe more importantly, the touch screen is responsive. I mostly use the keyboard and mouse for things, but I prefer touch screen controls when I’m editing photos and it works very well here. It’s also good for simple games using touch screen controls like Angry Birds, though I haven’t tried any demanding games on it yet. Specs wise, it should be capable of running most games ok at medium graphic settings, but forget about Cyberpunk in Ultra. If you want that, the i7 16GB model might suffice, but for most people, this computer should be capable of doing everything they need. Speaking of which, the built-in HD webcam, mic, and soundbar are surprisingly good. I honestly wasn’t expecting much, but the soundbar plays loud and clear with good spatial imaging. It lacks bass, but that’s nothing that adding a little sub can’t fix. The built-in webcam disappears inside the monitor in a slick way to ensure privacy when not in use (bonus points for that Dell) and offers a surprisingly good image in medium ambient light. The perspective isn’t bad either, so the lens doesn’t round out your face and add 10 lbs. A definite upgrade for Zoom meetings and conference calls. I can’t find much to dislike here, but there is one thing that had my head shaking. I love that it comes with a built-in SD card reader and three USB 3.1 drives, but I would love it more if at least one was placed on the side or front for easy access. It’s annoying having to tilt the monitor and reach around back to plug in a USB stick or SD card. It’s a little gripe that a simple USB hub would alleviate, but adding a front port would be handy. Outside of that, I can’t find many faults with the computer. The matte screen does an outstanding job blocking glare, the touch is responsive, and the hardware is quick. I almost forgot to mention, the computer has an HDMI input and output, so you can extend the screen space to another monitor, or even use this one as a dummy monitor. Unless you’re doing 4k video editing or serious gaming, this Dell i3 Inpsiron All-In-One should easily handle what most people need to do without taking up more space than a monitor. Overall, an excellent computer and highly recommended!
