The computer starts up extremely fast. It’s a solid state drive so I expected this. The 8 GB of RAM gives it enough power to open up multiple browsers and medium use programs without slowing it down too much. It was an easy setup. Completely different than a tower PC due to the limited wires. Just connect the Desktop to power, mouse and keyboard to the Desktop. Easy. Cortana does the rest. I remember how difficult it was as a beginner to set the computer up. I’d have to write down what was VGA, Power, Audio, Mic, Webcam etc. and then I’d have a fun time fixing the pins inside the connection if I’d missed. The sound is crisp, the picture and screen size is absolutely satisfactory as well. I used this to catch up on some emails, watched some videos, and enjoyed a bit of music streaming. I wouldn’t try to do much gaming on this unless it’s solitaire or web based games. This computer is meant for work and a bit of play.

Looking for a computer to handle the everyday web browsing, word typing and video watching? Then look no further than this amazing all in one Dell! Being how many things have transitioned online this PC is an excellent choice for those conference calls and zoom meetings for work! I was able to use this for my online classes and online projects with ease. Thanks to its snappy and fast I3 processor and 8Gb of ram with the 256 GB storage this computer booted up super fast under 8 seconds till I was working and ready to go. The touch screen features were fun to mark up my papers I was doing research online and capture what was really important. I didn’t notice any slow down when I had multiple programs open. This really is perfect for someone at home looking for an everyday office replacement. It even has ports to allow you to expand your storage needs or connect your documents.

I first was looking at a computer at Walmart. I decided that since I have been a customer of Best buy that I should go back to them for this purchase too. I am so satisfied with my purchase. I will recommend this unit.

I am a power user so this machine is not my cup of tea. I bought this for my wife and for what she does with it, it’s pretty good. Surfs the web and plays videos without skipping a beat.

I'm more than happy with the Inspiron 5400, no big and bulky monitor to worry about. I could almost take this computer anywhere, whenever I'm traveling. I can move it through the house in various locations with no hassles.

Purchased for my daughter for Virtual School, and, of course, other leisurely activities (games, etc). She uses it for Zoom as well, and when the camera is not in use, it can be pushed down into the unit out of sight. This computer was worth the purchase.

When I received this Dell, I was not expecting much because I deal with photography, video and drawing. My go-to computer is always one with a fast processor, good graphics card, lots of memory and at least one 512 GB SSD drive. Computers like that are also great for gaming, which is something that I still like. My biggest complaint is that the computers I just described usually don’t come with touch screen. Therefore, to draw anything, I need to use an external drawing tablet. The good thing about this Dell is that it has a responsive touch screen that also works with a digital pen. That was a great bonus for me. Yes, it is not fast enough for editing my videos or photos. Definitely not for serious gaming either. The processor is an Intel i3, which is mainly used for internet browsing, writing e-mails and occasional MS Office apps. I wish I had received their 27-inch, i7 model to review instead. That being said, I was happy that I could use it for simple drawing on the screen. I won’t try more complex drawing, such as 3D type because it wouldn’t be handle that easily but it does work well for sketches. It comes with a nice camera that hides or pops up with a touch, keeping your privacy secure when you’re not using it. I used Teams on it and it was able to handle a conference call without any issues. People hear and see me well. Usually, I don’t use built-in speakers because they’re mostly useless but the ones in this Dell are not bad. Nothing to grab about but it sounds decent. I ended up placing it on the kitchen counter. It serves two main functions there. First, I can use it to read and watch food recipes. Second, I can watch Netflix and others while cooking. It is much better than a tablet because the screen is bigger and it offers more options in addition to a physical wireless keyboard and mouse. The image is very good too. The only downside is that Cortana, the digital assistant, only responds to your voice if you use the mouse or keyboard to activate it. Not Dell’s fault but it’s a bit annoying sometimes, especially in the kitchen when you need both your hands free. Microsoft needs to fix Cortana. I want to be able to command “Hey, Cortana, set a timer for 15 minutes” when I’m cooking. For now, I’ll keep using Google Assistant or Alexa for that but I wish I could get rid of some gadgets on my counter. All in all, it is a great computer if you don’t intend to use it with applications such as Adobe Premier or Photoshop, of for heavy gaming. Otherwise, please go with their i7 or at least i5 models, which I haven’t reviewed but expect to perform better for those applications. As I mentioned, it delivered more than I expected. I would recommend it for those who don’t need a powerful computer.
