    If you are looking for a great everyday All in one PC then look no futher than the Dell Inspirion 24 5400. With its included wireless keyboard and mouse to the sleek design, you will be not only please with the aesthetics but the performance is pretty good too. Is this the model for the hardcore gamer? Probably not, but if you, like many in the age of COVID, are working from home and need an everyday go to machine this is the machine for you. Takes care of all the taske you would ask of this machine with ease with the included 8GB of RAM and the 256GB SSD drive. I love that the Inspirion 24 5400 included a pop up camera to use during those Zoom or Microsoft Teams calls many of us have had to get used to. Overall, I feel this is a high quality machine that is a great addition to your home or office in a compact footprint.

    Since I have two boys working from home due to COVID, i thought this would be a good setup for them to have in addition to their school issued laptops, which can be pretty sluggish. I have the big sister to this one that has the i7 processor and 512 SSD, which is perfect for me and overkill for my kids. I hooked up a second monitor to this AIO and its pretty much the perfect setup for my kids to do their homework and do research at the same time. I particularly like the pop up webcam, that gives me greater assurance that it is not being used inadvertently. The processor mixed with the SSD gives this better performance than i expected. There is a noticeable difference between this one and the larger model that i use, but there should be. This model is probably considered entry level, but it performs much better than that. This is a nice desktop and in the week that i have had it, my kids and i have enjoyed setting it up and customizing it for their needs. I would definitely recommend it.

    I've had to call the Geek squad on 3 separate occasions for repairs. I'm still depending on my old computer for most of my work.

    I enjoy my computer that I purchased the only down fall is the keyboard sucks some of the buttons when you press a letter put extra letters in the words you are trying to spell.

    DON’T Purchase

    When I purchased this item I didn’t open it for over a month and after I eventually opened it I have been able to use it more than 30 mins without it cutting off or freezing. Now they want me to pay $100 to get someone to check it without a guarantee of fixing the issue that they said is not a hardware issue when clearly it is! DO NOT PURCHASE THIS COMPUTER

      Here are the recommended steps for your freezing issues:
      1. Run a Computer Diagnostic. To determine if your computer is experiencing a hardware problem, run the Dell Preboot System Assessment (PSA) Diagnostics. For information on how to run Diagnostics, and to determine the issue, refer to Dell Knowledge Base Article: http://dell.to/2iaiujA.
      2. Check Safe Mode for Symptoms. To boot into safe mode, please follow the instructions below:
      a) Start the computer.
      b) Tap 'F8' on the keyboard immediately and every one second until the Dell logo screen disappears. From there you will see the Windows Advanced Options Menu on the screen. (If the Windows Advanced Options Menu does not appear, restart the system and try again.)
      c) Select Safe mode with Networking and press Enter.
      d) Log on as the administrator or as a user with administrative access.
      e) Open applications and test the computer in safe mode. If the symptoms exist in safe mode, please continue the troubleshooting steps in this article. If the symptoms do not exist in safe mode, the issue is likely related to a driver or software and you may wish to complete step 3 to see if you are able to resolve the lockups or freezing.

    Can't contact store.

    Have not plugged it in yet. The Sioux City store is not taking phone calls at this time and i have questions and they have not answered my email to them from 4 days ago either. Kinda pixxes me off. I live 50 miles from the store and can't just stop by whenever for answers. Will have to make a special trip. Purchase went smooth with Austin.

    Sale rep cared less about me buying, first he looked at what I was replacing a 27" all in one; to him it was a 24". I decided on the Dell 24" all in one. I have had nothing but lots of problem with the keyboard, some of the keys work when it want too, especially the num lock and caps lock. Dell replaced now it is num lock.

    Trash of a system!

    The keyboard is extremely cheap plastic. You can bend it with hardly any force. The keys are sooooooooo cheap too. I feel if you type to hard it'll shatter. The mouse is garbage too. It's just cheap garbage plastic. The monitor /computer is OK. The touch screen is junk. You have to hit it a ton of times before it works. Bottom line I wouldn't recommend this garbage product to anyone!

      1. Open Control Panel.
      2. Click Hardware and Sound.
      3. Under Tablet PC Settings, click the Calibrate the screen for pen or touch input.
      4. Under Display options, select the display (if applicable).
      5. In the Tablet PC Settings windows, click the Calibrate.
      6. Select Touch input.
      7. In the white screen, tap the crosshair each time it appears on the screen, and do not change the resolution during this process.

    Dell Inspiron All-In-One is a Big Deal

    Great Dell Inspiron 24 All-In-One is just this computer I needed for everyday task and relax surfing at your finger tips. The set-up was quick and easy from convienient parts packaging. Just a few plug-in and hook ups and you are ready to log in. Love the Black color and sleek looking 23.8 inch HD 1920x1080 display with pop-up camera for ready to Zoom. The Dell All-In-One wireless keyboard and mouse is the best compliment to the Touch screen when needed for desktop computer with precise feel and type. I just can't say enough about ports with 2 hdmi, 4 usb ports that range from 2.0 to 3.1 powershare, SD Card reader and Intel Core i3 Processor of 8GB memory speed topping off 256 of solid state drive. I won't have to worry about whether my Laptop has enough power to last through my computer time anymore. I can just hop on my Dell All-In One for quick access to whatever I need. This Dell Inspiron is going to replace my 2006 Dell Tower that is still going strong today.I like to YouTube and the 23.8 screen really fits the bill when watching how to videos sports shows, movies and music. The Dell Inspiron All-In-One is the all around computer desktop everyone needs.

    Missing Power Button and Keyboard USB

    Not sure the quality of this product as I was never able to use it. Funny story. I ordered one, picked it up and took it to the office only to find that the power button and keyboard USB were missing. I packaged it back up and returned it to the store with no hassle. They gave me an exact replacement in a brand new never opned box...but when I opened it...it was also missing the power button and USB for the keyboard. When the second model was returned, the technicians at te store attempted to find a wy to power on the machine to no avail. Not sure if these were the only two with this issue, but perhaps others may have the same issue. Other than that, the packaging and quality seemed good and service at Best Buy was great.

    Black screens. Constantly freezing.

    Worked great for one week. Then constantly freezing / shows black screens. Messed up important meeting b/c of this junk. Had to restart by pressing the power button almost every other day.

    Open Box Horror

    Best buy of Alpharetta sold me a fair open box. The all in one computer did not come with a power cord keyboard or mouse and that was somewhat ok after it was explained because it was included in the fair description. However.. upon me purchasing a power cord the screen was completely cracked top to bottom. I even paid for a geek squad protection plan but because I bought the item damaged they could fix it but it wouldn't free and I would have to pay send off fees. This was horrible NO MORE FAIR BOX ITEMS FOR ME!!!

    Poor Working Computer

    After using the computer for a few hours I turned it off. The next day I could not get into the program. I brought it to the Geek Squad, they tell me something is wrong inside the computer. They want to charge me more to fix it.

      Thank you for your response. We apologize for your experience and have provided steps below that can assist with your startup issues.

      1. If the computer is displaying the Dell logo and does not move past that point, it has probably failed POST.
      2. If the power indicator lights up and it is amber or orange, this is usually an indicator that it has failed POST.
      3. If you see text on a black screen, the computer is currently performing the POST. If the computer stays in that condition and does not move past it, it has probably failed POST.
      4. If the video screen displayed anything at all during the startup process but is now black, this probably indicates that the computer failed POST.
      5. If the computer is beeping or if Caps/Num/Scroll Locks are flashing, note if there is a particular pattern in which it beeps or flashes.
      6. If the computer is not beeping and caps/num/scroll locks are not flashing, unplug all connections and remove all media communication devices (e.g. external monitors); reconnect one at a time and check if the computer functions.
      7. For a notebook, press and hold the Fn key and then press the power button. This starts the pre-boot testing and will launch ePSA. In case you have a Desktop at the Dell logo screen tap the F12 key to enter One Time Boot Menu and use the arrow keys to highlight Diagnostics and press enter.

    All-in One Computers are finally a viable choice

    With more of us working from home in a make-shift “Office” there has been a rebirth in the popularity of PCs. If the portability of a Laptop is not needed, then the visibility of a large full power touch screen and a comfortable mouse and keyboard become important features. As we get more and more PCs in the home for entertainment as well as school and work communication, then desktop space becomes harder to find. A traditional “Desktop” PC typically has a large cube shaped body that has to share space with the monitor and the keyboard. I tried an All-in-One several years ago but I was disappointed by the low performance and noisy fans. This Dell - Inspiron 24" Touch screen All-In-One is finally a real challenger to the full-size desktop. Features: - Touch Screen - Intel i3 CPU (11th Generation) - Fan-less QUIET operation - 8 GB DDR4 Ram - NVMe Solid State Drive 256 GB - Includes Wireless Keyboard and Mouse - Very Compact All-in-One design PROS: - The display is not noticeably larger than a standard 24” monitor although is contains the computer itself as well as a stereo soundbar and retractable camera. - Plenty of power and speed for average use teleconferencing or home office. CONS: - Not powerful enough for heavy video editing or computer design (CAD) applications. - Keyboard is small and non-height or angle adjustable. Conclusion: As mentioned in the “CONS” this is not Dell’s most powerful All-in-One, but if you need a lot of power then other models are available. If your raw computing power requirements are in line with what this can provide, there is no point in going to the hotter running, more power-hungry models. It’s a great choice for most applications.
