Bought this brand new Dev 14, 2019. It conked out just over a year later Dec 26, 2021 (today). Unit will not turn on / start up anymore and I see the green light in the DC adaptor that has always been plugged in securely to the rear so power supply is definitely not the issue. So disappointing that it has cast a shadow on my Holidays day after Christmas and I need it for work for telecommuting :(

      Hello Gorio,

Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear about your experience. Below I have provided steps to perform a hard reset if this should happen again. We also recommend running a hardware diagnostic test. I have provided the link below.

      1. Power off the laptop. Press and hold the power button for 10-15 seconds.
      2. Disconnect the AC adapter or power cord, and remove the battery.
Note: For Dell laptops that have a non-removable battery, see the Dell knowledge base article How to reset Real Time Clock (RTC) to recover your Dell XPS, Dell Latitude, or Dell Precision laptop.
Note: For certain Dell Latitude laptops, we recommend you try and recover the laptop using the forced ePSA method. See the Dell knowledge base article How to Use Forced ePSA to Recover from POST or Boot Failure.
      3. Disconnect all external devices or peripherals like USB drives, printer cables, and media cards (SD/xD).
      4. Press and hold the power button for 15-20 seconds to drain residual power.
      5. Connect the AC adapter or power cord and the battery.
      6. Power on the laptop.

    Nice All-In-One PC!

A week in using this All-In-One PC and I can say I love it! This is my first All-In-One PC and it is safe to say that it runs extremely well. Due to its SSD, this PC is pretty fast at booting up and loading applications. This is a great space saver as well if you are looking for that. Pros: The Full HD touchscreen display is very vibrant and the bezels are minimal making the display appear a bit larger. The 16GB of RAM is enough to run multiple applications without any problems. The PC has multiple ports in the back that are all useful. The Pop-Up camera on the top is a nice touch as well. Cons: The Intel UHD Graphics is not that great at running most games on the market right now. You can run them but all the settings will need to be set to the lowest possible setting for optimal performance. The keyboard and mouse doesn't feel like the greatest quality for the price point. The mouse especially feels like cheap plastic. Overall, this PC is nice for an everyday PC where you can get your work done. The PC saves precious space with the All-In-One setup, great for limited space. The graphics performance and quality of the accessories are a bit of a bummer but the features of the PC make up for that. I would recommend it to others!

      MMCC04,

We're sorry to hear about the issues that you're having with your computer so far. We'd recommend running the Windows Performance Troubleshooter to see if it will help your computer perform better:

      1. Close all open windows.
      2. Press the Windows logo key + X key on the keyboard.
      3. Click Control Panel.
      4. Click System and Security.
      5. Under Security and Maintenance, select Troubleshoot common problems.
      6. Under System and Security, click Run maintenance tasks.
      7. Follow the on-screen instructions and prompts to complete the process.
      8. Restart the PC.

You can read the full article here - http://dell.to/2tSulGV.

If your computer continues to freeze on you we'd recommend the following:

      1. Run a Computer Diagnostic. To determine if your computer is experiencing a hardware problem, run the Dell Preboot System Assessment (PSA) Diagnostics. For information on how to run Diagnostics, and to determine the issue, refer to Dell Knowledge Base Article: http://dell.to/2iaiujA.
      2. Check Safe Mode for Symptoms. To boot into safe mode, please follow the instructions below:
      a) Start the computer.
      b) Tap 'F8' on the keyboard immediately and every one second until the Dell logo screen disappears. From there you will see the Windows Advanced Options Menu on the screen. (If the Windows Advanced Options Menu does not appear, restart the system and try again.)
      c) Select Safe mode with Networking and press Enter.
      d) Log on as the administrator or as a user with administrative access.
      e) Open applications and test the computer in safe mode. If the symptoms exist in safe mode, please continue the troubleshooting steps in this article. If the symptoms do not exist in safe mode, the issue is likely related to a driver or software and you may wish to complete step 3 to see if you are able to resolve the lockups or freezing.
      3. Check for Malware. Malware (Virus, Spyware, etc.) can definitely cause a Windows system to lock up or appear to hang. To check for malware on your system and to ensure that your computer is up to date on security software, visit Dell Knowledge Base Article: http://dell.to/2wWP1zI.

I had to send this item to a Dell repair center after having it for less than three weeks. It apparently had a defective processor fan. I just got it back the other day, and it's working so far, but it will be awhile before I trust Dell or Best Buy for another one.

      DellPC,

We're glad that your computer is working better since you've received it back. If you experience any fan noise in the future we'd recommend making sure that the BIOS on your computer is up to date:

An out-of-date BIOS can cause loud fan noises by having an outdated temperature table for the system. Refer to update BIOS and follow the instructions to update the BIOS on your computer. You can also follow up with our Technical Support Team here - 1-800-624-9896.

Great choice for a nice looking all-in-one.

The first thing to realize about this computer is that you are paying for the convenient package. Because of the small and aesthetic case, it is equipped with an energy-efficient LAPTOP CPU. With only a 15W power envelope, you can’t expect the same performance as a real desktop processor that can burn in the neighborhood of 100W, nor could you fit that kind of power in a case this size. Also, because of the size constraints, you also can’t upgrade the CPU or graphics. But, unless you are a hard-core gamer or are doing a lot of CPU-intensive tasks (you know who you are), the CPU should be more than adequate. For casual web browsing and typical productivity tasks, the processor is quite snappy. It has an i7 which does much better than the i3 and i5 processors in more budget-oriented computers. The only upgrade possible is in the memory and storage areas. This unit comes with 16GB of RAM out of the box (in dual-channel configuration, good call), so there is really no need to upgrade the RAM; that is more than enough for the types of tasks a computer like this is used for. The built-in M.2 SSD is 500GB, which is adequate. However, by simply popping off the back cover, there is a space to add a 2.5” SATA drive. The drive rails are helpfully included in the upper corner of the case. You only need to add a pair of M3x5 screws (along with the four M3x3.5 screws that go into the hard drive itself) to increase your storage using either a SSD or mechanical hard drive. It should also be noted that the single USB-C port does not support Thunderbolt. Given what this computer was designed for, it does an admirable job and is also attractive. The only real issue with the design is that all I/O ports are in the back. Do you want to plug in a USB drive? You have to turn the computer around. Do you need to read from an SD card? Yup, you will be reaching around the machine. Really, putting one USB port and the SD card reader on the side or front would have been a welcome addition. However, if you have a USB hub lying around, you can easily remedy this. The other tiny issue is that the computer has an HDMI-in port in the back. However, I could not get this port to function. I tried all software options that I could find, including the BIOS, and consulted the user and service manuals. This should not be a problem for most people, but if you were counting on using this feature to plug in a game console, you might have problems. So, if you need raw horsepower and upgradability, then your money would be better spent on a real desktop machine with a separate monitor. On the other hand, if you are not a power user, and want something that takes up very little space while performing well and looking neat without a ton of visible cables, then this would be a fine choice.

    Fastest Computer Setup Ever!

This is my first all in one computer. I have used laptops exclusively for years. It's like having a giant tablet with lots of connectivity on a stand. This computer takes up little desk space, the keyboard and mouse can be stored underneath and I only have the power cable to deal with. There were very few things to set up. The wireless mouse and keyboard were in sync right out of the box. Between the Dell Software and Cortana this was the fastest out of the box computer setup ever. Unlike most computers I have set up, this one seemed to keep the usual endless updates in the background so that I was able to begin using it in a short time. The only setup issue I had was a bios update that failed to install the first couple of try's. After the Microsoft login I soon had office available and access to all of my cloud documents. While there are a few unneeded things installed, there is much less bloatware than I usually see on a new computer. After setup there was still less than 50 Gb of hard disk space used. The SSD main drive is fast to boot and blazing fast when transferring files from an external SSD Hard drive. I noticed that out of the box the monitor has less contrast than the laptop that I have been using. while the picture is fine I plan on fine tuning this when I have a little time. I love this computer. It's so quick and easy to set up. I find myself using it like a giant tablet at times. I have ordered a TiVo Mini to connect so that this can stream from my DVR in the office.

I really like this large monitor. It has great picture quality and sound. It will literally walk you through the setup. It does NOT come with Windows 10 (purchase for an additional $139). I have had other computers come with that already installed. It has really good speed and downloads quickly. I like that you can use either the mouse or touch screen. There is no onscreen keyboard so you have to use the wireless keyboard that comes with it but overall a very good computer.

DELL INSPIRON ALL IN ONE 23" This computer is as versatile as a laptop with the functionality of a full-blown desktop. I've owned multiple Dell Desktops over the years. It is my first experience using a touchscreen for all of my computer use. The sensitivity of the touch screen is perfect to the touch. The resolution and clarity are impressive. The flexibility of the screen enables me to adjust it in a position where I can perform work comfortably. The screen display can also be adjusted for gaming sessions with multi-players or just for watching a movie. This Dell Inspiron All In One has quick startups. The wireless mouse and keyboard work seamlessly together. For the price, this computer packs a powerful punch. It includes the 10 Intel Core i7-10510U processor, with a 16GB system with memory, a 512GB (SSD), and a built-in media reader. For added functionality, the system comes with a BlueTooth 5.0 interface, which syncs with compatible devices. I just got the computer, and I look forward to experimenting with other features to this Dell Inspiron All In One computer.
