    PERFECT for Web Development!!

I absolutely LOVE this computer. I needed to purchase one for my Web Developer course and this is PERFECT. It’s very fast and the speakers work great. It has enough hdmi and USB ports in the back to get the job done. I use it everyday and my sibling is even thinking about purchasing one. I love how the camera pops in and out, so you don’t have to worry about whether or not you left it on. I have mine hooked up to my 50 inch tv that I use as a second screen. You can tilt it back and forth too and the graphics are great. I’m super cheap, but this was DEFINITELY worth the price!! The screen is the perfect size and you can use the touchscreen function which works great for when my kid uses it for virtual learning. It comes with a stand attached to it so you don’t have to buy one along with the wireless keyboard and mouse. I held the keyboard up to the computer in the pic so y’all can see how long the screen is.

I was super excited for this to show up. Taking it out of the box and started realizing how cheap it felt. Set it up and turned it on. Vertical lines on the monitor out of the box. Did all the updates hoping it was driver related. Contacted Dell and they say the monitor was bad but was under warranty. I had the thing an hour before talking with them. Took it back the next day.

The Dell replaced a 15” laptop I had used for a number of years and took forever to boot up or load programs. The speed of my iPhone and iPad only exposed the laptop’s numbered days. I knew I wanted an all-in-one for space and a SSD for speed/storage along with reasonable system memory. The Dell was exactly that computer. The screen is a great size and sharp, love the thin bezel surround and the wireless keyboard/mouse; CLEAN design. Really like the computer’s base, stable and nice room under it for the external CD unit. This computer is FAST, loads my browser in 2 seconds and boots up in way less than one minute! The price was competitive with HP but far better design aesthetics. My only wish would have been for USB ports on side/front rather than all on back to allow more convenient use of flash drives or connecting Cannon SLR to download pictures, etc. Rare purchase where everything is exactly what I wanted! Best Buy had a great price on the unit and the sales associate ordered the CD drive for me which was delivered right to my house the very next day. GREAT total purchase experience!

Hands down best PC I’ve ever owned. I do all of my work on it, my daughter went through the pandemic virtual learning on it. Its not almost October 2021 and it is just as fast and efficient as the day I bought it and I have a lot of files saved on it and I use it every single day. What’s even better is I bought the open box and saved a bunch of money on it and it still works as if I bought it brand new. Don’t hesitate to buy it if you need a computer for work, zoom meetings, Google meets, gaming, oculus gaming, Nintendo switch gaming, you tube, Bluetooth, 3D picture designing, and it has the whole Microsoft system. Computer is great, plenty of storage, and it’s affordable. Picture and colors are clear as day.

    All-in-Wonder!

This is only the second all-in-one PC I have owned, the other being a 25.5” VAIO. I used to be wary of all-in-ones before owning one but I have not looked back since taking the plunge! This Inspiron 27” AIO is not only a space saver but modern and stylish enough to compliment or add décor wherever it is placed. It is versatile enough for a kid’s room, home office or even a kitchen setup. The Full HD screen has an 8mm border and accepts touch inputs. At 22lbs, it’s way lighter and easier to move compared to my previous AIO. Dims are about 18 inches (tall) and 24 inches (wide). Depth is about 1.65 inches (screen only). The combination of the 10th Generation Intel Core i7, 12GB of RAM and 512GB solid state drive makes this PC speedy for most tasks. The RAM is upgradeable to 32GB via 2 slots. Windows 10 Home is the operating system. For wireless connectivity, you get Bluetooth 5.0 (ability to connect to 2 devices at the same time) and 802.11ac WIFI; both standards ensuring stable, fast and long-range connections. For wired connections, the PC has 2 HDMI ports: one facilitates HDMI signal output and the other receives HDMI signal from another source. There are also 5 USB ports behind the PC: 1x USB 3.1 (Type C), 1x USB 2.0 (Type A) and 3x USB 3.1(Type A). I must add that the mouse and keyboard connect via an included USB receiver, essentially leaving 4 USB ports for use. An RJ-45 Ethernet port is available for the ubiquitous data connection. For microphone/headphone connections a jack is available. There’s no optical drive but you do get an SD card reader. Dell even included a secure slot included, if needed. Tucked on top of the screen is a retractable 2.0 MP camera array of an infrared and regular camera lenses. Beneath the screen is the speaker and the speaker assembly houses the microphone. It is adequate for typical use but would definitely add external speakers (Bluetooth or wired) should there be a need for significant bass. There’s an LED indicator in the speaker to depict the PC’s operation. The power button is located beneath the speaker. The stands for the PC are far apart enough to keep the keyboard tucked away when not in use. My dislikes appear to be all focused on the keyboard. The keyboard does not have any “legs” to change the angle, not a deal breaker though. The indicators on the keyboard for caps and number lock only light up briefly when selected and then go back to the initial unlit condition. I like to get the occasional visual confirmation so found myself constantly double checking if they were engaged (which they were). Again, not a deal breaker but will be noticeable if you have used other PCs that operated differently. One can adapt. The mouse is ergonomic and easy to use. Upon receipt, my AIO wouldn’t power up. I called Dell customer support who were able to walk me through a hard-rebooting sequence: unplug power adapter, keep power button depressed for about 30 seconds. Reconnect power adapter and you should be up and running. I was pleased by the courteous and knowledgeable customer service I received. In summary, the Dell Inspiron 27” AIO is performance, functionality and style in a compact package. The specifications as shipped should keep it relevant and a joy to use for some time, thus making it a sound investment for either entertainment or productivity purposes.

Beautiful Display, Lots Of Ports, Limited Gaming

My household requires a lot of variation in how the family computer is used. Most days it needs to play Netflix/Disney+, play games, run office, but mainly homework and work from home projects. The Dell Inspiron 27 All In One is a gorgeous looking computer right out of the box. You get the huge display that contains all the hardware (hence the all in one), a keyboard, a mouse, and a power cord/brick. That's it! You put the monitor on your desk, plug in the single power cord to the back, pop the included batteries into your mouse and keyboard and you're ready to go! The display is 27" HD and a touchscreen, it looks amazing especially when you start checking out some picture heavy sites (Reddit, Imgur, Instagram even). The monitor tilts forward and back with approximately 30 degrees which is more than enough to accommodate a short vs. tall user and a low, normal, or standing desk. While the processor is a 10th gen i7 more than capable of computing anything you throw at it you won't be doing any heavy gaming on this sucker. I always check "Can I Run It" to get an idea of how much power I can throw at Steam or Epic game downloads. My kids are running Terraria and other smaller Steam games with no problem (and again it looks great on the huge display) but if you try to load up "The Outer Worlds" or "Forza 7" you'll be disappointed. Some other features of note are 12gb of RAM, a built in webcam that pops out of the top of the monitor and back in (so you can hide what it sees when not in use), a 512gb SSD for fast storage but not much more than your phone can hold so get a jump drive, cloud service, or external hard drive. The sound output is adequate but if the household gets too noisy it won't do much however it services Netflix binges if the kids are playing down the hall. Ports available on the back include a USB 2.0, three USB 3.1 gen 1 Type A (normal full size USB with 5gbs transfer potential), a USB 3.1 gen 2 Type C (the smaller Round USB like new android phones use and capable of up to 10gbs transfer), an Ethernet port, an SD Card reader, a microphone/headphone jack, an HDMI in and a separate HDMI output, and security lock slot (which I have never used so I can't speak to). Its a very sleek, appealing looking PC that has more power than necassary for most daily uses but not enough to do heavy lifting like gaming or 3D rendering. Lots of ports so you can plug all of your devices in, use a 2nd monitor (or TV!), and transfer photos from your cameras. Nobody needs to be told they should buy a PC, by now everyone knows what they are and how awesome they can be, so depending on your desired use I would recommend this for everything not graphics intensive. Its nice to have such a simple hookup and practically cord free desktop! Only time will tell how long these batteries keep the keyboard and mouse running but we're going on a month without any sign of stopping (your mileage may vary depending on use).

    Fantastic All In One Desktop!

    Posted .

This is my first all in one (AIO) PC, but not my first Dell product. The new Dell Inspiron 27" All-In-One Touch-Screen PC is a really nice looking product. It's also very nicely built. First off, opening the box, there's the PC, a box for the mouse, and power supply and a box for the keyboard. Pulling out the PC, as mentioned, it's very nicely built in silver aluminum and white plastic. The aluminum feels upmarket and the plastic has a more premium feel to it. It stands nicely on the desk, with the hinge mechanism towards the bottom of the screen. There is very minimal documentation with the machine, as Cortana takes you through all of the initial set up in Windows 10 Home. The peripherals unfortunately have a much cheaper feel to them, they are white, grainy plastic, which will get dirty very quickly, but also feel somewhat flimsy and, well, plasticky. And then there's the 'on/off' toggles for the wireless mouse and keyboard. They are fiddly and not intuitive. I want to be able to turn them on and off without looking and with ease. They will need to be upgraded at some stage. You set up a Dell account, to register the product, and then options or McAfee as well. Then you get to fully immerse yourself in the 27" HD screen. It is not 4K, but delivers a really nice, crisp image with no noticeable imperfections in color clarity or brightness, and it really is pretty much edge to edge. And it's fully touchscreen. A very responsive and smudge free touchscreen. Really, REALLY like the touchscreen and how accurate and sensitive it is. With 12GB DDR4, 2666MHz processor and a 512GB Solid State Drive, this AIO Dell runs really nicely. It operates smoothly and quietly, without a loud fan or anything like that. When it's really running, you can hear the fan faintly, but it's not obtrusive at all. It starts up really really quickly as well... almost without hesitation. The webcam was a little fiddly to work out at first. I thought it was motorized, but couldn't get it to open. There's a lens protector sticking out above it when you unbox it and I pulled on that to no avail. You actually have to press down on it to manually pop it out. Now I know, it's great, but took a moment to work that out. Facial recognition to unlock the machine works flawlessly in many different lighting conditions. A 30 day trial of Microsoft Office is included with the machine. Checking out videos online, I have a GigaPower connection, so movies flowed seamlessly and without interruption with nice clarity and vivid colors. Web pages load quickly and smoothly. Downloaded one of the Asphalt games for my son to enjoy and the touchscreen was fantastic to blow through the many menus. However, when playing the game and rendering some of the graphics, a small amount of lag was noticeable with a few jerky moments throughout a given 1 minute race. I was a little surprised by that. The monitor portion of the AIO machine has a HMDI in, HDMI out, USB C, and ethernet port, two USB ports, along with a headphone jack and an SD Card reader. I chose to plug my laptop into the screen and pressed the 'input' button under the right hand side of the silver mesh covered speaker. The input changed and my laptop displayed perfectly on the screen. This is another nice feature of this product, that you can hook up an exiting computer to it, or another HDMI media source. I've really enjoyed using this machine so far, it's well built, it's fast, it's stylish and is perfect for my needs. It starts up quickly and quietly and looks great on my desktop. This machine would get a full 5 stars if the keyboard and mouse had the same attention to detail as the machine itself did, were made of better quality materials and had a better 'on/off' switch.

    Great all around multi-purpose all-in-one

This is an excellent all-in-one with good specs for a good price that fits most use cases. Some of the positives: - The webcam pops up out of the top, so you can pop it down when not in use if you're worried about security. No need for those little plastic slider covers! - The bezel around the monitor is narrow and the sleek design of this all-in-one is very aesthetically pleasing - Numerous inputs including usb-c and hdmi out to use another monitor - Computer speeds are excellent for most uses and everything works effiiciently and quietly. Not sure how the strong the fan is but I haven't been able to do anything yet that kicked it into overdrive which is good Some of the negatives: - the inputs and especially the sd card slot are on the back and not very convenient to get to. They're not something you can do while sitting at your desk in front of the computer. I use sd cards a lot and have to get up and go around the back to put one in or take one out. - with all the inputs, one is instantly used up for the mouse receiver. I would have expected a bluetooth mouse, especially since the keyboard does connect via bluetooth. The touch screen is nice, but honestly not necessary. With a 27" screen, it's just way too big to keep close enough in front of your face to make use of the touch screen. Not really a negative, just one of those extras that aren't very useful. The built-in speakers, keyboard and mouse are all ok and get the job done, but they're nothing to brag about. This is an all-in-one though, so they're good enough for what they're designed for, and you can always upgrade these separately. The picture is only full hd and NOT 4K. I don't see this as a negative though because if I want to watch the latest blockbuster in 4K, I'll watch my big screen TV, not my 27" computer. Also, being a software developer, I prefer a 1080 setting since 4K makes my code so tiny I can barely see it. Speaking of being a software developer, I've had this computer for a week now and have used it for that purpose as well. I've installed various programs, dependencies, and databases for a couple of my projects and all have worked no problem and didn't seem to put any strain on the cpu and included memory at all. This computer does ship with Windows though, so it definitely won't be my main development machine, but that's a Microsoft issue, not a Dell issue. Plus I can't just fold this up and take it on the road. It's nice to know that I can use it at home though for that purpose, or if I ever have a need to develop in a Microsoft environment. Final question that needs to be answered is how is it for gamers? Well, if you're a gamer, you honestly shouldn't be looking at any all-in-one at all. Meaning, don't expect to run the latest games on this. It only has an integrated graphics card so it's not going to be able to keep up with the latest games. A gamer looking at this computer would be equivalent to a racecar driver looking at a Camry. You're just not going to be able to compete with a Hellcat Challenger. To sum it up, for most everyday uses, running a small business or even web and software development, this all-in-one is a great option with some great specs at a decent price.

Though a lot of my online screen time is with a tablet, I still have a need for a traditional computer for work in my home office. The computers performance has been extremely impressive and has not missed a step. With 12GB of RAM (expandable to 32 GB) and the 10th gen Core i7 processor it’s handled everything I’ve asked with ease. The computer also has plenty of ports and it’s nice to see at least one USB-C. Living in an area with gigabit internet speeds, it’s nice having wireless AC built in so I can take advantage of the speeds I pay for. Though not 4K the almost bezel less display has a crisp vivid picture. The computer has a quality feel to it except the keyboard and mouse. They’re both very light which kinda makes them feel cheap compared to the machine itself. If you’re in market for an All-in-One computer don’t pass this one up, it’s got the specs, performance and style at a competitive price.

Decent AIO PC for certain uses.

    |
    Posted .

Dell has made quite a little nifty PC in a package as big as the screen. I've built PCs all the way from 1987 to current and this AIO is a really decent machine for certain people. Now I would not say this should be a main PC gaming rig to run all the latest AAA titles on MAX settings, because it's not going to be a pleasant ride if you assume so. I WILL however, recommend this as a "side" PC for the home or even for a college dorm. Dell has made quite an aesthetically pleasing AIO with a little footprint. The keyboard can easily be tucked in between the stand legs. Inputs/Outputs USB 2.0 (use this for the mouse dongle) USB 3.0 USB C HDMI in AND out (very important to note, I'll say why later) Ethernet SD card reader The chassis is made from brushed aluminium for that sleek minimalist look. I personally like it. Cons: Let's just start with the bad already. -27 inch screen is severely handicapped to 1080 max resolution. All that real estate, but using FHD resolution (sadface). -Processor - i7! but at 1.8 GHZ -Gaming is sub-par. As in Lowest quality graphics just to have decent frame rates. Light gaming on the other hand is 100% fine. -Some will say included KB and Mouse is on the "cheap" feeling side. I like the "clickyness?" of the buttons and the mouse is just as fine. Pros! -Real estate! 27 Inches is a lot of screen whether using it for movie watching to web browsing. Also has HMDI IN to double as a screen for consoles or what-have-yous. -Light Gaming! Running something for the kids like Terraria or Minecraft will have no problem on this machine. Also RTS like Starcraft and Age of Empires worked with no frame rate issues. -Compact! I like how little space it takes up. Can easily fit anywhere a 27" can fit. -HDMI OUT! BIG BIG BIG!!! Now, if you have another monitor or TV, this is HUGE. I posted a picture proving how much I love this. 4K OUTPUT. Yes, 4K OUT. While testing out what this little guy can do, I used an HDMI cable to connect to my 75" Samsung TV to get a second screen. While browsing the web on the AIO, I was streaming 4K on the TV with NO ISSUES!!!! Picture is of LTT Youtube @ 4K resolution. As long as you know you're not going to being playing the latest game on ULTIMATE graphics (if you are, why are you here?), then I say this AIO is perfectly fine for you.

Great All-in-One PC with a large screen.

    |
    Posted .

Dell all-in-one PC has a small footprint given that the screen is a generous 27” touchscreen with full HD (1920X1080). The silver metallic finish gives an impression of a solid build reminiscent of another popular brand. I was puzzled by the choice of keyboard/mouse color though. Both feel light and cheap because of the white plastic material used. My biggest gripe is that the keyboard is not backlit as most are these days so that you can use it in less lit areas. When I first got it, the WiFi kept disconnecting for some reason, but after a Windows update, the problem seems to have gone away. And as is the norm these days, there is no optical drive (CD/DVD/Bluray), but that is understandable because of how thin this unit is. Now with the negative out of the way we can concentrate on all the positives. Having an SSD makes startup and multitasking snappy. The speed of the core i7 10th generation processor can handle anything I’ve thrown at it so far. I have yet to try gaming but will do so in the next few days during the holiday break. Streaming video went well and the sound the speakers produce is adequate. One plus for me, and I'm sure for others who value their privacy, is that the camera is on the top portion of the screen and it can be pushed in when not in use and then a tap makes it rise from the top if you need to use Skype or other teleconferencing applications. Now for connectivity, it has an SD card reader, 1 HDMI input, 1 HDMI output, 5 USB ports (1- 2.0 USB, 1- 3.1 type C USB and 3 - 3.1 USB). It also has a wired ethernet port (10/100/1000). And it has Bluetooth connectivity as well as fast WiFi speeds (AC). Overall this machine has performed well for all typical home uses.
