Knowledge of sales person was excellent and he was a big help guiding us to the right computer for our needs. Sale and conversion of data from old computer to new computer was excellent by your staff. Price was little more than internet for same computer but your service was worth it.

Love this! Unboxing was quick and the setup was extremely simple. The display size is fantastic. Sound quality is also fantastic. Quality also has been exceptional. I've no problems whatsoever with this PC. I had been working from a smaller-screen laptop and so this addition was perfect.

I purchased new Dell computer from Best Buy. I simply love it. While I have not used it extensively, so far, this computer has exceeded my expectations. I am anxious to fully explore this computer. I fully expect that my expectation will be met or exceeded.

AIO PCs have come a long way

First off, AIO (All In One) PCs have come a long way. This PC is not much larger/thicker than my monitors. It is actually thinner than my TV. The design is really stunning. The weight is about that of a monitor. The 27 inch screen is beautifully crisp and clear. The speakers do a surprising job, especially if used with the HDMI in and a streaming device. The power button is under the right front corner of the speaker. Slightly to the left of the power is the button that will change the input. I was surprised this was not in the documentation supplied, at least I could not find it. On the back there are two HDMI ports, one is a HDMI in that is closest to the middle of the back of the monitor. This can double nicely as a 27 inch TV IF the streaming device can control the volume internally with the streaming device and not rely on controlling the system volume. That can be controlled with the keyboard if need be. On this note, there are no external controls for the volume. You will need a/the multimedia keyboard. Additional ports on the back are 1 HDMI in, 1 HDMI out, 1 USB Type C, 3 USB 3.0 and 1 USB 2.0 ports. Also a audio/headphone jack and a SD card reader. I have not looked into adding storage nor memory to the system. Storage wise you have 512 GB of SSD. Adding an external USB Type C drive is likely the best upgrade. The system comes with 16 GB of system memory. Unfortunately a dedicated GPU is not in this model. Here are some generic stats on the system: Processor 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1165G7 @ 2.80GHz 2.80 GHz Installed RAM 16.0 GB (15.6 GB usable) Pen and touch Touch support with 10 touch points The touch screen works very and is very responsive. The i7 processor is fast and steady. I have many browser tabs open and multiple applications running and not even working up a sweat. This system can handle some gaming but storage will become an issue if you do not add a external drive. The included keyboard and mouse are wireless and will use one of the USB ports on the back of the system for the receiver. The keyboard does not match the feel and quality of the main system. There is a pop up camera at the top of the monitor that can be used for facial recognition logins. The camera actually does a very impressive job. By pushing it down, you effectively disable the camera by blocking the lens. The system does support Bluetooth. Software wise, not a lot of bloat. Dell does supply some added tools that help improve the experience. Dell does a good job adding and simplifying the PC experience. System updates are really well handled and can do the hardware drivers as well using the Dell Update app or the SupportAssist. usually a sticking point for people not familiar with maintaining an OS. Overall this is a really great AIO, I am surprised by how solid it is both physically and in performance. The feet on the monitor are set for stability and are quite wide. If you use a stand, make sure it fits the monitor stand. If you are looking to save space and still have a powerful PC. This can be used as a second monitor to a laptop or standard PC. I definitely would recommend depending on your needs and wants. I took 1 star off just for the lack of external volume control and that I could not find the input controls. The keyboard and mouse feel like they could be nicer but are not bad, There is just enough that could be improved that keeps it from a 5 star system.

Good Computer With Some Annoying Design Problems

The Dell Inspiron 7700 is an all around good computer with some design issues that may turn some people off. The system comes packaged very nicely with lots of styrofoam to protect it during shipping. Setup is pretty simple, the hardest part probably being just taking everything out of boxes and wrapping. One of the first things you’ll notice during the unboxing process is how very cheap the keyboard and mouse feel, which is a stark contrast to the computer itself, which is very nice and feels well built upon first touch. Do yourself a favor and just put the included keyboard and mouse combo away in a closet somewhere for emergencies and just plug in something a little nicer to go with your nice new system. Come on Dell, you can do better than that. The next thing you’ll notice right away, and is my biggest issue with the system, is all the ports are in the back. This seems to be common with these All-in-One systems, and it is really annoying. Even the headphone jack, which I see myself using quite often, is all the way around back. Not to mention the 4 different types of USB port, which I will never remember which is which. I will just be happy if I actually get a USB plugged in without having to turn my entire system around. And then there’s the SD card slot, which might as well not even be included being back there. I’m probably just going to get a hub or something that I can put in a more convenient spot. Ok, now that that’s out of the way, let’s get this computer turned on…. Um, where’s the power button on this thing? Hmm, is it around back with all the ports? Along the edge somewhere? Doesn’t feel like it. Oh, that little nub under the speaker without a single marking to give you a clue? Yeah, that’s it. Ok, whatever, now I know where it is, no need to mark any points off for that. Just another weird design decision. Now that the computer is turned on, this is actually a pretty snappy system. Plenty of performance for all your daily needs. Of course, if you’re looking for something for gaming or heavy video editing or something like that, this ain’t the system for you, but you probably already knew that based on the specs. For the rest of you out there that just need something to check facebook and stream netflix, this is a great computer. Oh, and at this point if you hadn’t followed my advice about the keyboard and mouse, you’ll have no doubt felt by now how terrible it is to actually type on the thing. And both the mouse and keyboard feel like Fisher Price toys or something. Seriously, provide your own keyboard and mouse, you won’t regret it. The touchscreen is a nice addition, but I don’t know how much I’ll actually use it. I’ve never understood the need for a touch screen in a desktop computer, but I’m sure other people out there may actually use them. One reason I actually would prefer it not have a touch screen is because I would prefer a matte screen. The glossy touch screen is just way too reflective. It can actually get pretty distracting since I have a window directly behind my desk. The included webcam is actually pretty cool in that it hides away when not in use. Just pop it out when you need it and pop it back in when you’re done. A nice little privacy addition I wouldn’t have expected, but definitely appreciate. One thing I noticed after a little while of use, is that there is literally no physical adjustments available on this system. I mean, like swivel, rotate, height adjustment, things like that. This system is stationary as stationary gets. I really would have appreciated being able to tilt the screen down a little, because my desk has a monitor riser built in, which is where I have the system. So overall it is kind of high up, which during normal use isn’t a problem. But when I pop the webcam out, my face ends up lower in the frame than I would like it, and since nothing is adjustable, there’s not a whole lot I can do about it. Just giving me a few degrees tilt would’ve solved the problem. The last thing worth mentioning is the included speakers, which actually work surprisingly well. I never expect included speakers to perform all that well, but I’d go so far as to say you don’t even need to provide your own speakers with this system. In conclusion, the Dell Inspiron 7700 is a good performing system that will get the job done for most tasks, excluding gaming or video editing. There are some design issues that would be deal breakers for me, but can be alleviated depending on where you place the system. Mainly, no direct light behind you, and easy access to the rear of the system, and I think you should be good. Oh, and in case I haven’t mentioned it yet, bring your own keyboard and mouse!
