I am very pleased with this computer. Setup was easy, and so far, the computer has had great speed in processing all tasks I have given it. The display is crisp and clear. I have been using the computer for internet browsing (including primarily accessing financial along with a few medical sites), email, spreadsheet developing and analysis work, and document handling and development. All have gone quite well. I usually get 3-4 hours on the battery before it gets down to about 20% charge left. It usually takes about 2 hours to fully recharge the battery when the remaining charge is 15%-20%. I do not use the computer for gaming, so I cannot make any comments regarding it's performance for this. Finally, I have not found any issues with the computer getting too hot or making any bothersome sounds.
The one slight issue I have is the placement of the light indicating that charging is occurring or is completed. This is on the side near where the power cord is plugged into the machine. This makes it a bit difficult to check on charging unless the machine is sitting sideways on my desk. I would have preferred to have this indicator light on the front. Again, I know this is a very minor issue and can be resolved by turning the machine, but I thought this was worth mentioning.

For the price, this is an excellent computer. It keeps up with my boyfriend's macbook but was less than half the price and has the awesome touch screen. The only thing that annoys me is the battery life won't last all day if I'm constantly on it- I expected to get 8 straight hours out of it while in grad school and I can't get that!

Its a great laptop for the price point. A few upgrade options with the hardware at this price point. You really can't get an extra drive into the HP or Lenovo at the same level. I upgraded the M.2 SSD boot drive and the RAM along with adding another 2.5 inch SSD to add extra storage. Extremely easy to do the upgrades!

I bought this to use for schoolwork. It’s fast and overall a good computer. BEWARE…There should be more of a warning to inform shopper that this laptop is in SAFE MODE….Which means you can not download anything if it isn’t from the Microsoft store… and everything I’ve ever needed to download was not offered. I had to buy another computer just so I could download a safe browser for a proctor for one of my school tests and to be able to use my silhouette machine.

Write a beautiful review for a Dell laptop that I bought giving it 5 stars nothing short of a technological masterpiece. The sleek design and flawless finish immediately caught my eye, but it's the impressive performance that truly stands out. Every task, whether it's multitasking between multiple applications or running graphics-intensive games, is handled with ease and speed. The display offers vibrant colors and sharp details, making every viewing experience a joy. Furthermore, the battery life is commendable, ensuring that I'm powered up for longer durations without constantly reaching for the charger. Dell has truly outdone themselves with this product, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. Highly recommended!

THE BOTTOM LINE

As a budget laptop shopper, you've got to be willing to make some sacrifices in pursuit of the best value, especially when searching in the $300 to $500 range. Dell’s Inspiron 3000 series, however, has proven itself to be an exception to the rule, offering quality budget notebooks at value prices. Like the 15-inch Dell Inspiron 15 3000 (3505) we reviewed earlier this year, the Dell Inspiron 15 3000 (3511) checks many of the boxes we look for in a good budget laptop—including a large 15.6-inch display, an easy-to-swallow $323 asking price, and Microsoft’s latest operating system, Windows 11. Aspects of the display betray the laptop's budget roots, but it's a decent deal for the money if you decidedly want a Windows machine over a Chromebook.

Do your research on the hinges before you buy

The laptop itself is good, the issue is in the build, the hinge broke literally a week after the warranty ended, I use this laptop maybe once a week, never have dropped it or dropped anything on it, I only use it for personal budgeting needs and miscellaneous tinkering so it is not opened and closed often. The screen started making a crackling noise when I opened it, getting worse, where now the frame is separating from the screen and I am afraid it will break completely. The lid closes crooked and I'm afraid one day I will not be able to open it. I have to hold the bottom of the screen together so it doesn't tear apart when I open it, I can't leave it open all the time and shouldn't have to. Going to try and get hinges and repair it myself but after resarching Dell more and more it is a common issue with their laptops, but also in fairness I found it an issue with others as well. However I have always used HP's with no issues other than terrible battery longevity, where after a year or year and a half the batteries just quit and some models you cannot replace them. i would rather use an old school reliable tank than to have to keep replacing laptops for poor production reasons. Dell has been no help because the warranty is only a year, conveniently enough.

User friendly , easy to use . Fast speed. Only complaint is Netflix there's no sound on most shows and movies not sure if its the app or the laptop itself. And the pixels on the screen saver is kind of blurry

I got this as a replacement for my old gaming laptop that I gave my daughter that unfortunately stopped working. I wanted something inexpensive that she could to some light gaming on so a Core i5 was the bare minimum. Despite being less powerful than her old laptop, she's really happy with the Inspiron 3511's performance with Roblox. For the $429 I paid for it, I'd say it's well worth the price.
Major things going for it are:
- Full HD display that's clear and bright with a great viewing angle
- Touch display
- Solid build quality
- Good keyboard
- Plenty fast for basic gaming needs
