Very mediocre laptop, already have to replace it. I probably wouldn't ever buy a dell again. I had issues with the network card and took me forever for Dell to replace it.

Crashed twice need to be reformatted the worst purchase ever made It’s a whole reformat now I add webroot and numerous great software and my firewall up an assorted spell apart it’s really unfortunate too because I got $300 off of it into Microsoft accounts that were compromised and locked out completely I’m trying to get another one I’ve been unable restore my Microsoft 365 for somehow it got canceled and it was part of the purchase in January about a week after I purchased it so there’s been a lot of issues freezing up Del was terrible they were no help first they said it was hardware than it’s a service software you can get a straight answer I think it’s hardware and they need to pay for but

My son absolutely loved this laptop. He was very happy with it until about two weeks in. A blue stop code screen appeared and the laptop cannot be used. We have tried restarting and draining the battery and restarting but it always goes back to the blue screen. Neither the windows screen key nor the usual alt+ctrl+delete method worked to exit out of the blue screen. Trying to get help from BestBuy but have not received it at this time, will update review accordingly.

Do not buy, poor quality

Do not buy this laptop. It's November and it's already almost useless as the USB C charging port doesn't work. I can't charge or turn on my computer because the one port that is used to charge it doesn't work. It appears to be a physical issue with the connection, as it would work intermittently when I wiggled it. Then it took a lot of force for it to make stable connection. Now it won't maintain a connection to fully charge. I noticed too after a couple of months that the physical quality of this laptop is very cheap. I can't believe this is a $1k laptop. I'm glad I didn't pay full price, but to have use the warranty for a charging issue is just crazy. You should be able to charge your computer for years at least. I won't be buying a Dell again. Heck, even the rubber strips on the bottom started coming off after a few months. Look elsewhere for a higher quality physical build like Toshiba. My old Toshiba lasted me over 6 years with no issues.

After barely 1 month of actual use of the laptop, I have noticed that there is an issue with the mouse pad. The corner has raised up on the bottom right corner an is no longer flush with the laptop. I am concerned that this will be an issue in the near future.

I needed a small portable computer that was going to be very fast and quick on the Internet.
The basic use for this was going to be a home system replacement and boy this fit the ticket.
The computer performs well and does a wonderful job exactly what I wanted to do.
Just one thing to do is to make sure that when you first get it make sure you do all of the Dell sponsored updates and then once you’re done with that make sure you do all the windows 10 update
The computer does not have a CD ROM but that’s not a big deal or use an external unit via USB 3.0
There are no complaints with this unit good battery life fast Internet access and just overall very well-built

Super happy with this laptop, fast, does everything I need it to do and sturdy but super light. I love that feature, I Can pick it up with one hand no problem. Its battery life is as expected. There are two USB ports, so a hub is handy if you need to use more than that.

This is so light! I wanted a laptop for travel, and this screen size was larger than my previous travel laptop so I was concerned it would be too bulky. I bought it from Best Buy rather than the Dell website because I could go in store and test their products (hint to Best Buy- if you go online only this is an example of a sale you would have lost). Despite the larger screen size, it is so thin and light that it is very easy to carry. The clarity of the screen is great, fires up quickly. The camera works really well, great for Zoom and Skype meetings. Love that it can sync with my iphone; text messages and phone calls can be received and answered easily through the computer. Also has fingerprint identification built in to its on switch. I thought the price (under $1000) was very reasonable for the product. Setup was straightforward.

Purchased on a great deal just before Christmas, saving me $250 off regular price. I needed to replace my Dell 2 in 1 from 2016. I was looking for a laptop that WAS NOT a 2 in 1. The case/hinges on my old one had broken twice. This Inspiron 7000-14 has a much better case/hinge design and IS NOT a 2 in 1. The size and weight is great. With the core i7 the speed is fantastic. I really like the screen resolution. The only concern I have is the backlighted keyboard doesn't work for me. In many situations the silver keys and the backlight do not have enough differentiation. Unfortunately you cannot change the color of the backlighting, so my solution was to turn off the backlight.
Set up went smoothly as did transferring my personal files. The 512GB drive will be sufficient since this is for my home use, not work.

Has to be the best computer our family has ever purchased!! I don’t leave reviews but this one deserves an honest review. my daughter is pre Med in college & she is also the secretary of my husband’s auto repair shop and this computer can handle it all. Purchased it in 2021 and it still runs as it did fresh from the box. We have purchased another one for the home and I have recommended it to other parents sending their children to college. In comparison to the Mac and gateway we had this literally blows those out of the water. She can be doing her schoolwork and playing sims and the computer does slow down. It’s slim & lightweight for the price it really exceeded our expectations.

So far so good. Operating speed is good and is very quick to boot up. Very light and easy to tote around. I like the lighted keyboard but the white characters are not the easiest to see with silver keys. Overall I think it was a good purchase given the sale price. Not sure it would be worth the money though at full price.
