    Open Box Inspiron 2-in-1

I bought this computer as an "Open Box" with an "excellent" rating. It's working great, still has 1 year of warranty with Dell and I got nearly $500 off the price of a new one. I have noticed some signs of wear on the outer case--consistent with its previous life as a display model? But this is more than acceptable for such a great laptop. I love the active pen and have been using it much more than I thought for note taking, inking documents and sketching.

    Great Laptop

I just got this laptop three days ago and let me tell you, it is exactly what I needed. It is great for editing videos, posting videos and photos. Typically I have to wait anywhere from 30 minutes to five hours on saving a video then uploading it to youtube. Not forgetting that usually I have to sacrifice quality for getting some videos out fast. With this laptop I was able to post a video in 3 minutes while also having the video play at 4k quality. The size is also perfect if you are moving around a lot and want something compact but not tiny. I was also able to move around 4,000 photos from my SD cards to this laptop in about 30 minutes. Only reason why it took that much time was because I had to delete NEF files and organize the photos. The only cons from this laptop is that it only allows for mini SD cards instead of full size SD cards and that it only has one USB ports. Both problems I was able to solve by buying an external port that allows for more USBS and large SD card port. But if you are dropping 1,300 on a computer and money is a issue then that might be a little inconvenient for you.

    Not worth it

Terrible computer, I had to return it three times. Each time the computer was new in original box. First time computer will freeze and not upload webpages. I factory reset it several times but it was getting to a point where I had to factory reset it each night when I was done using it so the next day it will be ready to use. The second computer after some days of use developed a line on the right side of the screen. The computer has been moved from the desk or anything, it just showed up. Third time it seem to be working fine, screens will load, keyboard work everything great. One morning I walked away from the computer and it has shut off. For some reason this computer tend to do that instead of going to sleep mode. I didn't touch the power settings or anything. Once the computer turn back on, I got a screen saying the bios need it uploading. I search in my phone to see what this new problem was. Nothing I found online work to get the computer to start and I gave up went back to best buy to return it again. The best buy staff all were very professional everytime I went and did everything within their power to help me. At the end one of their tech guy told me about Lenovo Yoga i7 and that they had an open box. I was very skeptical but open to recommendations. I have had the Lenovo for 3 weeks now and haven't had a single issue with it. The dell was way expensive compared to the Lenovo and Lenovo has beat it. I highly recommend Lenovo.

    Worst computer I’ve ever owned

I bought this computer 6 months ago when my previous computer threw in the towel. This computer has been THE WORST computer I have ever owned. Problems from day 1 with the computer failing to shut down correctly or failing to start up correctly. The track pad most of the time decides only random sections will work sometimes fairly large sometimes only a small sliver of the track pad. The computer will randomly turn off and say it encountered some kind of error and suggest I run diagnostics. This has made things very difficult particularly when so many meetings and classes have been going through online still. I’ve missed multiple meetings and classes due to this computers issues. Above all else the computers fans are extremely loud and the computer heats up very often. Not sure how this computer was so highly recommended by the bestbuy computer salesman but this computer has been a $1700 piece of JUNK.

      Hello Nick,

We're sorry that your computer is not performing the way you had hoped it would. We'd recommend recalibrating your touchpad with these steps:
Some Notebooks and Tablets with Keyboards have added gesture features to the touchpad hardware and drivers. A few of these features are two or three finger scrolling, pinch zoom, circle zoom, rotate and swiping. These new features may be the reason for the erratic cursor movement since most are turned on by default. You can disable or modify the way the features work in the touchpad driver properties. Here are some tips to modify these settings:

      1. In the Search box, type main.cpl.
      2. Touch or click main.cpl in the list of programs.
      3. Touch or click the Dell Touchpad tab.
      4. Touch or click on the picture of the touchpad.
      5. Touch or click Gestures (depending on your computer there may not be a Gestures option).
      6. Change the options as preferred.
      7. Touch or click Save.
      8. Touch or click the X in the upper-right corner to close the Dell Touchpad Utility.
      9. Touch or click OK on the Mouse Properties window.
      10. If the touchpad still does not work after following the preceding steps, refer to Dell Knowledge Base article - http://dell.to/2iaiujA.

You can read the full article here - http://dell.to/2tqmS02.

If you are still experiencing overheating and loud fan noise we'd recommend checking to make sure that you have the most up to date BIOS installed on your computer: https://dell.to/37hSuJl.
      Best,
      Bryan@Dell

nightmare. screen crack on its own. wrong drivers

In February, before it expired, I tried to renew my warranty but when I did Support assist would redirect me to a 504 error. I had time to renew but not to fuss with figuring out how to get to renew. I put it on the pile. Now March, I open my inspiron 13 7391 to find the infamous lower right corner screen crack. It wasn't from a drop or a bend. It's been sitting on my desk. I've had nothing but problems with this laptop and it's system since I got it. The efforts to make things more user friendly have backfired. It's a nightmare
