Beautiful fast machine. It is not a gaming laptop so look elsewhere if gaming is your forte. That being said it can run basic games just fine and the display is nice. Good selection of ports including thunderbolt and USB 3.2 and HDMI. These ports are near impossible to find on other brand machines of similar spec.

I absolutely LOVE this computer! I looked at a lot of different models before deciding on this one. I love how light it is and easy to transport. I use it for work as well as carrying around in my backpack while attending college. It is super fast and stable. It boots up in seconds. The display is gorgeous!

Good but battery life was awful. Bought it open box excellent. Brought back to BB. Read many reviews about 4k screens and battery life. If it wasn't for the short battery life I would recommend it. Geat overall laptop but...

My first Dell, Great computer, love the 2 in 1 touch screen format. Nice keyboard layout, screen resolution is excellent. Picked this up on a geek squad certified, and saved big time, the only complaint I would have is the battery life, But then again, Tesla car owners probably wish for the thing all time.

As a dell fan, this computer is spot on, it helps me with my college assignments, can play computer games, the touch screen and flip-ablility, allows for a more easier screen viewing and my kids enjoy using it for netflix and coloring activities. 100% a great purchase. Would reccommend for buisness and personal uses.

I really wanted to like this computer especially since it was 4K and at a great price. It does great things and I loved the pen that came with it. But the fan was loud and it would get very warm. Plus certain applications that I needed for my job were not working right on this computer. Don’t know if it was because it is a widescreen computer. I returned it and got a Lenovo Yoga 9i which I love. The fan is quieter and does not get hot. I had to sacrifice not having 4K but it’s fine.

I finally purchased a new laptop. It basically set itself up. The stylus was damaged and Dell replaced it through the mail in less than a week. Everything went smoothly. I purchased it on a Deal of the Day and got a great price. Touchless delivery at the store in my car. Very pleased with the purchase and the experience.

Great laptop which is easy to use. I was concerned if it will be too small compared to 15". But this is perfect size. Performance is awesome! The outside of the laptop easily gets finger print marks, but that doesn't bother me much. Sometimes moving/opening the screen causes accidentally touching the corner of any open app and end up closing them. Pulling pen out of the storage also could cause accidently touching the screen and affecting open apps/pages. May be I need to adjust touch sensitivity. Pen is awesome! Happy that I opted for the pen instead of models without it.

This baby has it all. I have tried them all (Spectres, 9i, C940, Yoga 600, Surface Book, and a few more; all of them in both FHD and UHD, if offered). I like this the best because unlike the Lenovos, it has Windows Hello facial recognition, unlike all of them the pen is housed onboard in a logical position (on the deck), it is right behind the Yoga 9i and C940 for sound and way ahead of the Spectres and Surface, its display is close enough to the Spectre, while the 11th Gen Evo chip seems to help its battery last a long enough time where you are not finding yourself always checking the battery indicator as in the 10th gen UHD Spectre and C940. The keyboard is not as smooth as the Lenovos, Surface and the Spectres but this is the very least of my concerns; it's fine. The touchpad is excellent. The build is as good, if not better than the 9i. The carbon (they call it black) color looks awesome and this is surely not a fingerprint magnet in any way. Dell, who I had very little faith in before, hit a home run with this unit. I love it, especially since I picked it up for $949.00 on sale yesterday!

    Great Laptop, Great Viewing...

First -- the laptop is barely a month old and so far I've had no issues with it. This is definitely a good 2-in-1 to get your hands on. It is fairly light (approx. 2.5lbs). It is small (13.3") and light so it fits in most backpacks. It could definitely do with a couple of additional USB ports, but for most uses, it has enough. Of course, you can definitely plug in a USB-C hub. The pen it comes with has its own docking and powering slot in the body of the laptop itself. The pen is self-orienting thereby allowing it to be charged whenever it is docked. It is definitely a powerful laptop, but graphics intensive games such as XP11 or MSFS, is probably going to be a stretch. It does shine when it comes to graphics programs though (PS, PSP, etc.) and all your normal stuff (MS office, internet, youtube, et. al.) Needless to say, but boot up is super fast -- say, about 10/15secs? As with any 4K laptops or 2-in-1s, I'd say that viewing in 4K is best done when the display is output to a 4K Monitor/TV.

Dell is my go-to windows laptop brand. The laptop is light and great for taking everywhere. The pen can be charged in the laptop slot which is great. It is quite pricy but the quality warrants the price. Highly recommend

Incredible value and design. I love the inbuilt pen. It did seem to run a little hot at first but a BIOS update fixed that. I love that it charges via USB C. Dell also give you a proper HDMI port, USB port, and headphone jack - so no need for dongles like other laptops. Recommended.

    Absurd Thermal Throttling

I couldn't pass up the low price for the claimed performance by the 4k, 11th Gen i7 Evo edition of this laptop. The thing that the specs don't tell you is how bad the thermal performance of this laptop it. Compared to the i5 model (without the pen holder), the air vent is less than half the size. This means that the laptop put out a poor 2900 Cinebench R23 multi-core score. Do yourself a favor and buy an 11th gen i5 or i7 with better cooling, and you will see a nearly 60% multi-core performance improvement. Pros: - Beautiful design for an Inspiron - Magnetic pen holder/charger integrated into the keyboard deck - Thunderbolt 4 - Full sized HDMI - Full sized USB type A port - Octagonal pen shape to make it easier to hold Cons: - Mediocre battery life - Burning hot, due to lack of ventilation - - No redesign to move the air vent away from the pen storage, leaving a half-inch hold for the fan to blow out of - Rubber nubs on the back of the screen to prop up the laptop left marks all over my desk

      DrIoT,

Thanks for your review and we're sorry that your computer's performance is not meeting your needs. If you'd like to improve the life of your computer's battery we would suggest these tips:

      Change the Power Plan:

      1. On the notification area of the taskbar, right-click the Battery icon.
      2. On the options list, click Power Options.
      3. Select a power plan on the battery meter, such as Power Saver or Balanced. Windows 10 has a built in 'Battery Saver' mode that can be activated to extend your system's battery life. The Battery Saver mode will monitor and limit background activity and other features such as push notifications. You do have the option to enable or disable this mode within settings or within advanced Battery Saver settings, you can customize the mode to best suit your needs.

      a) Click on the Action Center icon in the taskbar and select the tile for Battery Saver.
      b) If running Cortana then type Battery Saver into the search box and select from the results.
Within the Battery Saver settings page, you will be able to turn on and off the feature and customize the feature to best meet your needs.
      c) Turn Battery Saver On or Off.
      d) Additional settings available via the Battery use and Battery saver settings links.
      e) Battery use shows further info on apps and their power usage.
      f) Battery Saver Settings screen allows you to customize further Battery Saver feature.

If you'd like to try to cool down your computer's performance we'd recommend the following tips:

      Tips for Proper Usage:

      1. Dell does not recommend placing portable systems directly on your lap. Due to reductions in the thickness of modern portable systems, heat transfer can be an issue.
      2. Using a portable system (Laptop) on a hard, flat, non-cloth surface will increase airflow and reduce heat from underneath and inside the system.
Using the portable system on a blanket, pillow, or other types of cloth will cover up the fan cause the computer to overheat and can cause permanent damage.
      3. It is recommended to use the portable system in a Room temperature of 0°C to 35°C (32°F to 95°F) with a Humidity level no greater than 90%.
      4. Use compressed air to clean the vents on a regular basis.
      5. Using a cooling pad can decrease heat and increase performance.
      6. If you want to know the temperature limitations for your system, go to the Dell Support Website, look up your system model then open the user guide under the manuals link.

You can read the full article here - http://dell.to/2uJ8AdG.

We hope these tips help your computer run better for you.
