We purchased an additional 8gb to make the laptop 16gb. The laptop has two (2) 4 gb's cards. We removed one of the them and installed the additional 8 gb that we purchased and the laptop would not fire-up. Once we removed the new 8 gb the laptop did fire up. In order to upgrade the laptop 16 gb we are going to have purchase another 8 gb card.

That's how I felt about this laptop. I would have preferred 16GB of RAM but settled for 8. I would have preferred an Intel--but settled for a Ryzen 5. Lastly,,.I would have preferred a larger hard drive--but settled for 256GB. Overall--it performs very well for what it is.
