    Supposed to be a two in one. The hinges worked ok but touchscreen didn’t work nor did the display work when flipped. Tried to get support from shop and geek squad. Was unable to contact either. Had to make a 100 mile round trip to return it

    After 1 month of buying this computer i had issues of turning it on. It says repair then it will turn off. The worst thing is it happened after it can no longer be returned. I would not recommend this to anyone.

    This Dell Inspiron 7000 2-in-1 14" Laptop with a Touch-Screen is great! I'm always surprised - as the years go by - at how much easier it is NOW to setup a new computer for its first-use! This Dell Inspiron was no different. With Cortana prompting you along the way, it took no time at all to customize the operation of my new laptop. The size of the laptop is perfect! Sometimes these smaller computers are just that ... "smaller". This one - while compact and low-weight - was comfortable to use, even while sitting in your lap and it didn't get "hot" as sometimes they do. The response time to anything that I did was quick. There was very little "extra customization" that I needed to do, beyond what Cortana walked you through. The battery life seems sufficient, at least for the way I use my laptops. I still need to load a bit more software before I take it on the road, but it will be a welcomed addition to my travels due to the compactness. When I lost cable one night this past week, I powered up the Dell 2-in-1 and accessed Amazon Prime. I was impressed! The stereo sound was terrific! The full-screen running of the movie, was "full screen" with amazing color and speed. Love it. I don't have any criticisms of this laptop ... and I really enjoy it. I'm looking forward to my next road trip so I can take this light-weight beauty. So much better than my HP laptop ... size, weight, speed. You'll be really happy if you buy this Dell 2-in-1!!!

    I literally only had this computer for 30 days and it is acting crazy it will not update and will not allow me to use all of the computer features at all this sucks and I want my money back

    This computer has not been the best purchase. I have purchased laptops from here and never had a problem. This brand was cheap and we had a screen issue immediately.

To help with screen issues, I have provided the steps to run a diagnostic test on the display and the full article link, which has more options if they are needed. We also suggest making sure all video drivers are up to date on your PC. I have given you a link to the Drivers and Downloads page for your computer below.

      Method 1
      1. Power off the Dell Laptop PC.
      2. Disconnect any peripherals that are connected to the PC, and connect the AC Adapter (charger) to the PC.
      3. Make sure that the LCD screen is clean (no dust particles are on the surface of the screen).
      4. Press and hold D key and power on the PC to enter LCD built-in self test (BIST) mode.
      Continue to hold the D key until you see the entire screen change colors.
      5. The screen changes colors to black, white, red, green, and blue.
      6. Carefully inspect the screen for abnormalities.
      7. Press Esc key to exit.

    Initially this unit had wifi issues about 3 days in after performing as expected up until that point. After a system restore, Dell SupportAssist updates, and Windows updates - the wifi issue was resolved and the unit has been fine since. I should note that I had to use a USB to Ethernet adapter to get online up until that point. I suggest immediately running SupportAssist and then Windows updates when you get the unit home. Overall, this is a pretty solid choice if you're looking to buy a laptop. It's light and thin, and can easily fit in a backpack or bag. The screen is very wide, with only a small border. Graphics are crisp; the only thing is that some smaller text or icons become a little bit pixelated/blurry. The keyboard has a nice feel, and there are three settings for the built-in lights underneath the keys, off, medium, and bright. The only thing that I noticed was the right arrow key feels loose, though there wasn't anything I could do to fix it. The touchpad provides a nice, smooth feel, and it's very easy to use and drag tabs/etc since it has a nice click, compared to other laptops that don't really have a click that makes it easily accessible for you to drag things across the screen. The fingerprint reader at the top right side of the keyboard that also acts as the power button works fairly well. Sometimes I did have to press my finger up and down on it a few times for it to recognize my fingerprint. It is very easy to connect bluetooth devices such as mice, headphones, earbuds, etc. The volume on this laptop is also really good, it does seem to come more from the back of the laptop though, so I found myself having to turn up my volume a bit more than usual. It does provide good, clear sound however. The brightness options are pretty standard, but the night-light option is a really nice feature. I did find myself wishing it could go a little darker, but it also was really good at being super bright if need be. The battery on this laptop is 10/10. I charged it fully, and it lasted about 10 hours after that. Throughout those ten hours I had done some work where I needed to access many Chrome tabs at once for about 4 hours, then for the last 6 hours I just had it on in the background playing music or Netflix. This laptop also does not overheat or have super loud fans, which I loved. This allowed me to have it on places besides my desk without it sounding like an airplane, and burning my legs from overheating. The camera and mic on this laptop also work very well. I was told that my microphone sounded really clean and crisp, and the camera clarity improved over my previous laptop. The webcam privacy shutter did provide me with a lot of comfort, as I could easily open it or close it when I wanted to ensure I wouldn't be seen on camera. The tablet mode for this laptop worked as well as the standard laptop functionality, and the touch screen was very responsive. Performance-wise, the laptop itself worked well, sometimes it could be a little slow though I wasn't running anything that intense. When I was in a few different Google Meets, other people's camera/box was glitching, and I verified that the issue wasn't occurring for others on the same Meet.

    The bottom line is, this did not suit my needs. Had to return. Would not link up to my iPods. Extremely slow. Just wasn’t the right fit.

    This laptop is perfect for my needs. The size is just right, although it is a little heavier than I expected. It's not heavy per se, just has a bit more weight than it looks like it would have. Perhaps that will make it a bit more durable than my last similar-sized HP. Set up was super easy with the Cortana guided set-up and the voice recognition was an added plus. All-in-all, set-up took maybe 15 minutes. I was able to easily connect to my network, printer and bluetooth and since it came charged up, I was using it as soon as set-up was complete. So far, I've enjoyed using the laptop. The keyboard has a really nice touch and the mouse pad isn't overly sensitive as some smaller laptops can be, where your palm keeps activating the scroll while you're typing. One additional added bonus is the finger print recognition to power the machine up. After a week of use, I have no complaints and would recommend and buy again.

      To help with this issue, we recommend changing the Power Plan:

      1. On the notification area of the taskbar, right-click the Battery icon.
      2. On the options list, click Power Options.
      3. Select a power plan on the battery meter, such as Power Saver or Balanced. Windows 10 has a built-in 'Battery Saver' mode that can be activated to extend your system's battery life. The Battery Saver mode will monitor and limit background activity and other features such as push notifications. You do have the option to enable or disable this mode within settings or within advanced Battery Saver settings, you can customize the mode to best suit your needs.

      a) Click on the Action Center icon in the taskbar and select the tile for Battery Saver.
      b) If running Cortana then type Battery Saver into the search box and select from the results.
      Within the Battery Saver settings page, you will be able to turn on and off the feature and customize the feature to best meet your needs.
      c) Turn Battery Saver On or Off.
      d) Additional settings available via the Battery use and Battery saver settings links.
      e) Battery use shows further info on apps and their power usage.
      f) Battery Saver Settings screen allows you to customize further Battery Saver feature.

    Great day-to-day computer!

    I received this item for free in exchange for my honest review of the product. My home laptop was slowly beginning to slow down, so when this one popped up for grabs, I jumped on it, even though I knew nothing about the specs of the computer, other than the size, brand, and that it was a 2-in-1. In the past I've had a 2-in-1, and my work laptop has a touch screen, and I missed that feature in my home laptop, so that was probably the most exciting part for me! I feel like this will be a great day-to-day computer for daily usage - browsing the internet, homework, streaming videos, etc. It is definitely not a gaming computer, but I have been using it to play Sims 4 (and all the packs!) since receiving it, and it has done a really good job of handling the graphics and game speed. There is a fingerprint scanner if you like to use biometrics to unlock your devices - it was easy to set up, but because of the shape of the button (which is also the power button), it can sometimes be difficult to get it to unlock the first time, until you get used to it. Quite literally the ONLY downside to it that I've found in the week that I've had it is that it does heat up pretty quickly and stay hot, and for that I've knocked off a star. I tried sitting on my balcony with it on battery power, and I couldn't handle the heat coming from the bottom of the computer. The keyboard also gets pretty warm to the touch while playing the Sims, but that's not quite as big a deal since I don't use the keyboard for that.

    A Good Mid-Range Laptop!

    I have heard and experienced great results from the usages of various technologies from Dell. However, this laptop is my first venture with Dell from a PC perspective. I must admit, that this laptop performs relatively well for the things that I use a laptop for such as web surfing, E-mailing, watching Youtube videos, some screaming of movies in addition to some office productivity. The processor is snappy, the touch screen is very reactive as well. The only negative that I have is that it only comes with 8 GB of ram and in today's market, the standard is now 16GB of ram with at least 512 GB of storage. I do recommend this 2 in 1 if you are on a budget and need a stable laptop or this may be someone's first venture into laptops.
