Bought this for my daughter, The hinge on the right side just broke and she is scared to use it. This is a flawed design and defeats the purpose of the 2&1

It’s an alright laptop, it’s not a top tier laptop but for $600 it does it’s job and it’s relatively quick. I personally downgraded to windows 10 pro and the laptop had no issues with that. One major issue I noticed right off the bat is that if your arm is resting on the sides of the trackpad the mouse will be clicking. So without asserting force onto the trackpad itself you can still have it activate which can be annoying at times. Other than that issue the laptop has been great so far, and without all the bloatware because I did a fresh windows install it’s pretty good.

I generally like it but I do not like all of the pop ups I’m getting. It seems like once you say no, they don’t take no for an answer and you are clicking off the same popup every single day…and it’s just not one.

Good Computer- Bad Tablet Mode Sensor

    |

Very good computer in many ways: fast, good battery, keys lightweight and easy to type on, outwardly sturdy and durable, plus I like the size and the color. I do have a couple of minor issues with the sharp corners that have already scratched my leg, and a camera that could be better, but otherwise I like this computer. The main issue it has is with tablet mode sensor in hinge. I purchased this computer and could not get it to go into tablet mode. After one online Geek Squad chat and two trips to a Best Buy store to visit Geek Squad, we figured out it would work part of the time when opening it very slowly, but still would not switch on all of the time. I was told that the sensor was "finicky"- it might be a faulty sensor, or it might just be a delay in Windows 11, to just keep playing with it a few more days before my return window ended. I then found out that my sister-in-law had also happened to have just bought this same computer and the tablet mode sensor worked fine on hers. She and my brother both played with mine and confirmed that my computer did not work like her computer does. So, I returned it and purchased another one of these computers. Low and behold, the sensor still has the same sensor issues (though the 2nd one does seem to work a little higher percentage of the time). I then went and played with the floor model in store and that one wouldn't work at all, no matter how slow or how many times I opened it. Other different computers on the floor would work all of the time, no issues. So apparently there is an issue with the sensor in this model. I like the computer, but I can't keep buying it and returning it for not working, hoping to find one that does work as it is supposed to. It looks like it is just hit and miss on the tablet mode sensor, so beware and at least keep an eye on it if you purchase this computer.
