My son had a Chromebook that's 7 years old. He needed something updated for school and Windows because his music making app can't work with OS. It has 3 different ports which includes a C port. He wants to create music and this laptop was the last expensive with all the necessities. The sandstorm color is really nice. It comes with just a power cord.

Has worked great so far. The computer seems very fast for the price compared to the other processors at much higher cost. I did upgrade the ram to 16GB and the SSD to 1 TB. This was a very simple upgrade. I didn’t use the computer very much before that. I will get into more detailed use in the future and really be able to see the performance. It is light and very slim compared to my last nitro 5 pc and seems just as fast so far.

I have owned this laptop for a year and a half now (review date shows most recent purchase date for whatever reason) just about as a daily work machine. I have reached the point where I'm replacing my unit. Here's why: - Seems to have a power issue. The system will perform sluggishly, like it's really being bogged down by something. It happens every week or two, and requires disconnecting from the power port, and replugging. Could be an issue with the port I suppose, but really not my forté. - Metal casing dents very easily. Yea, it's a metal construction, but I don't think that's made it any sturdier to crush forces. I've put a couple dents in the top at this point, and I go easy on it, keep it in a padded bag (it's my work laptop, so I treat it a little nicer than my rig) - Terrible Mic: OMG, the mic is so bad. each unit that I bought. I have no idea where it even sits on this thing, but it's a poor quality, and I get comments a lot in zoom meetings if I'm on this machine, and I finally got to hear it for myself a couple weeks back via the second unit I bought, it's awful. - Biggest Issue: Internet. This son of a mother will consistently lose it's ability to connect to the web after it wakes up from sleep or hibernate. It's not a shoddy signal, it's that the wifi unit in the laptop actually fails. I know this because the ONLY way to bring it back online is to hit the device manager, find the wifi device (which has a warning saying the device is not operating properly), uninstall it via the device manager. And then shut down, and restart. Conventional reboot doesn't do it. I have a hunch this is also power related, given the fact that this seems to happen after I've closed the lid for a while. I have to constantly have the lid on, and the computer set to not go on stand by in order to use it at this point. Been limping it along for months, but today I said no more. - Whoever thought putting the speakers on the bottom was a good idea isn't an engineer I'd hire again in those shoes. They weren't the worst ever quality, but very easily muffled if your laptop is like... on your lap. There were some things I liked: - the 2 in 1 is nice, snappy, and the touch screen is rather nice I'd say. I use it rarely, but it's a nice thing to have from time to time. Hearthstone after work was over is a good example. - The keyboard was nice and responsive and felt like it would have held up longer than the rest of the unit. That's come a long way from an older inspiron I had. What I'm shopping for in an upgrade: -A slightly larger screen if I can manage. I have alright eyes, but I can do better for myself going a bit bigger. -More ram. I haven't had to run too many demanding things on it, but I do run a lot of things, but I cram tabs like no other at work. I need the extra space, I maxed it out a lot. -Maybe a bit more graphical capability for some after work playtime. -Sticking with Ryzen, go get 'em AMD.

This laptop was really good!, it was for my eldest son and he just wanted it to play low graphic games and do school work. Iperforms really fast as well when doing school work. It gets a hot when playing games like Roblox or Minecraft but what can you expect its not a gaming laptop. But its able to run it very well. Its been about two weeks since we got it and it still runs the same just how we got it so no problems so far.

I bought this computer for my granddaughter to use in school. I bought this same Dell 3 years ago and love its reliability and ease of use. I would recommend it to anyone needing a computer for office-type use. I was disappointed with Best Buy as I originally purchased this computer in October on-line and they never delivered it. Canceled it without explanation. I had to buy it later for much more $$.
