I love this laptop. It is very convenient and fast to use when in a hurry. The touch screen is an added bonus especially for such a good price since 2-in-1 laptops are usually over a thousand.

2 weeks in and I can say the setup and initial interactions have been good. Have been using it without the charger to test battery life and it's been incredible. Speeds are great and display is awesome. Not using it for anything beyond work and school stuff, but it's already a worthwhile investment.

After setting up and using the laptop for a few weeks it is a great device for general office work, as well as light gaming. Performance is good, the touchscreen works great!
I like that it has a wired ethernet adapter as well as wifi, and the USB ports are handy.

Never had a Dell before. Very easy to set up and get going. I am so pleased with this laptop. Love its speed and size. Lighter weight than any I have had in the past. Pages load instantly. I have no negatives on this purchase. Would buy Dell again.

Ryzen is the real deal

I bought two of these for my kids. With school almost certainly going to be online for most/all of the upcoming school year, I wanted to get them something so they weren't stealing my laptop all the time.
For about $600, these Ryzen powered laptops are a fantastic deal. Don't bother with Intel in this price range, there is no competition. These laptop were very snappy right out of the box. We fired up Minecraft and Forza Horizon 4 on my son's laptop and it runs those games respectably for integrated graphics.
The RAM is upgradeable, which is why I went with this over the Acer and HP Ryzen laptops. I upgraded the SSD in one of them with a spare 500 gb m.2 drive I had from another laptop upgrade. No issues at all, Dell's website has all the drivers.
Screen is bright enough (not the brightest out there, but I wouldn't call it dim) and touch sensitivity is great.

Great computer for my daughter! She uses it for school and for her art projects. Very easy to use. Durable. Has a little weight to it compared to my other laptop but works great for her and runs smooth and fast. Tablet is great when she draws and reads.

Computer is easy to use and great for college! I needed it for my classes and it doesn’t crash and isn’t slow. The touchscreen is very handy and I tend to use it more often than the mouse.

I wanted a basic laptop as a second computer to use when traveling and away from my desktop. This checked the boxes - energy-efficient CPU, a decent-sized SSD, lightweight, great battery life, good screen, and a great value when on sale. The 2-in-1 tablet capability was a bonus. It didn't have to be lightning fast. I would not say it is a speed demon, but it is plenty fast for browsing and even intensive number crunching. The mobile version of the AMD Ryzen CPU seems to be as good as its desktop siblings (that's a compliment) and as speedy and energy-efficient as anything the competition is putting out in the same class. The backlit keyboard is a bonus and has a nice feel. The sandstorm case color stands out in a good way when you're in a crowd of laptops. There are some little touches that make me smile, like a built-in slide cover for the video camera.
I've had both Dell consumer and business laptops. This unit easily has the best build quality I've seen on a Dell consumer laptop and approaches what I've seen in their very solid Latitude business lines.
The only downside to this laptop is the touchpad. It is not at all a precise device, at least on my laptop. It really slowed me down until I was able to fix that with a $25 Bluetooth mouse (keeping a port free.) Note that you can also use the very responsive touch screen capabilities to navigate, and it will work just fine, It's just my personal preference to use a mouse. After years of use, I'm faster with a pad or mouse than I am with a touch screen. The touchpad was the only reason for the three stars for ease of use. With a mouse, or as a tablet, it's easily a four-star device, maybe five.
To be honest, it's sufficiently powerful and easy to use that it can be a main computer for many people. If your computer tasks consist of internet browsing, social media, finances, and office productivity tasks, this is plenty of machine. As long as you add a mouse or like to use touch screens.

I had purchased the x360 HP with disappointment. Quality was horrible. Purchased this Dell and could not be happier. Quality is amazing, upgradable, installed another 8GB of ram for a total of 16GB. Upgraded NVME to Samsung 500GB. Whatever you do, avoid QLC NMVE (Intel 660p). Does not work correctly. Battery life is good. Display is good. Download new Radeon drivers from AMD, then turn off vari-bright. This will allow you to control screen brightness manually. Works perfectly. Could not be happier. Thank you Dell!

Pretty good value for the price. Seems to work very well so far. Nice quality screen for watching movies and I love the 2 in 1 feature. Touch screen is responsive and very convenient at times.

The Dell Laptop is quite good for the price. The touchscreen is a nice touch and it operates fast. The only downside is that it does not have an ethernet port, otherwise it would have been 5 stars.

Dinging it 1 star because of the light bleed on the top 2 corners of the screen. This unit I bought was an open box so it was probably a return because of that issue. Purchased it for a reduced price so it was well worth the price under $600. Ram was already easily upgraded to 16gb dual channel and the one slot ssd to 512gb for addidtional $100 total, still bringing it under retail price. It is very quick and the unit itself isn't too big like the 15 inch models. I have an older dell stylus that worked on an i5-7200u which still works on this 2 in 1 so that is great. I wish it had an infrared camera for windows hello because the FP scanner doesn't work on my nasty working hands. Brightness is great indoors but really can't say anything about outdoors because it will only be used indoors. Fit and finish is great and "looks" professional.

This laptop is amazing for what it is! I love that it's fast and easy to use. It gets the job done and it's very straightforward. I think this a perfect laptop for new college students.
I also use this for games (Sims 4, Roblox, Minecraft and more) but not the most intense games either. If it can take more intense games, it's something I would have to try out because I haven't tried it out yet. Moving on, it works well with those games (yes it does overheat but what else do I expect? It still works. :) ).

Good enough workhorse for also having a touchscreen; would have gone 16GB if it was in stock. Would suggest Lattitude if used for hard core productivity applications. Had some urgency so was buying what would come quickly.

Great Little Workhorse

It is relatively light in weight, has a nice size screen, has a backlite keyboard and a touch screen. We were just looking for a small secondary computer to access social media, however we upgraded to this little workhorse, in part due to the size, which allows better viewing and a bigger keyboard than the smaller computers. The price is moderate. And it is easy to use. It would be a great backup if our other laptop would cease to operate. We have a Geek Squad subscription for maintenance, so we were able to purchase it and they loaded the antivirus onto it. We are pleased with it, although it is more than what we were looking for originally--and--no--it was not an up-sale, we asked for a recommendation a step above what we were looking at.

Picked this up as a replacement for an older Windows 7 HP laptop. I’ve had this about a week now and I really like it. I was initially concerned about the lack of big hard drive. Solved that potential issues with a $59 WD 2TB portable drive.
Computer is lightening fast and solidly built. I also love that it has multiple ports (HDMI, USB-C etc...).
Only minus so far, is the that the screen is a little small and it could be a touch brighter.

Freedom to move!

I'm still learning how to use my Dell laptop...it is my first ever laptop but so far I'm enjoying what I bought it for; the freedom to move around with it, traveling, and a bigger screen than my cell making it easier on my aging eyes. It has all the features of my desktop so it didn't take long to acclimate to using it. The only thing I am running into is the mouse pad sits where my thumbs are too quick to touch when using the keyboard, and when flipped, it doesn't take much to accidentally touch where you didn't want to. All in all I am very happy with my purchase, Best Buy was a lot of help when undecided on my needs, delivery was timely, so I'm a happy customer.
