The hinge was broken less than 12 month with normal usage. Try to get a fix from dell is really a pain. Call them twice and took more than 2 month

Crashed within 2 months. Then best buy wanted yo charge 200 to fix.

Coming from a completely different computer language, I was curious how I would get along with a computer that wasn’t named after a piece of fruit. Up front, I will say that there is a LOT to like about the Dell Inspiron 2-in-1 laptop. I honestly can’t find anything at all that makes me miss the computers I have had in the past. Starting with the build quality and design, this thing feels solid. The screen is vivid and sharp. Although not quite “Retina” level sharp, it gets the job done. The days of blocky text and large pixels (that can be seen by the naked eye) seem to finally be a thing of the past for higher end Windows laptops. A VERY welcome thing for my eyes. Being an IPS screen, the colors are punchy, graphics pop off of the screen, and photos/videos look awesome. The screen also folds completely back giving you a tablet type experience. This also disables the mechanical keyboard so you aren’t accidentally typing with your lap when folded. One thing I found odd was that the virtual keyboard did not automatically popup when trying to input text in tablet mode. If you have this problem you can fix this by right-clicking on the taskbar and checking “show touch keyboard button.” This will put a little keyboard icon next to your clock on the taskbar so you can select it quickly when in tablet mode. In my opinion, it would be nice and a bit quicker if the virtual keyboard automatically popped up when clicking on a text field. There may be a setting to allow this, but I have not found it yet. Streaming movies and viewing high definition videos on YouTube both look great thanks to the AMD Ryzen Processor and Radeon Graphics. The Ryzen Processor also makes this computer a very good choice for those constantly on the go, as the battery life seems to be way better than any laptop I have had in the past. While not really marketed as a “gaming computer” the processor coupled with the graphics chip make this a worthy choice for casual gaming enthusiasts. The keyboard is backlit and actually one of my favorite things about this computer. It is very soft-touch, extremely responsive, and nearly silent. An absolute pleasure to type on! The trackpad is also very responsive and smooth to the touch. Tip: click the trackpad with two fingers to right-click. The ports are almost perfect for my needs. You get two standard USB Type-A ports, one USB-C port (which is your power port, but also doubles as a display port), a micro SD card slot, an HDMI port, and a 3.5mm audio/headphone/microphone jack. By almost perfect, I would have definitely preferred a full size SD card slot as opposed to a micro SD slot. That said, if you want to get media from a standard SD card, you can always use a USB SD card reader. The webcam also looks great and handles Skype and Zoom meetings with ease. It even has a privacy slider built right into the screen that covers the webcam when not in use. Big bonus! *Obviously facial recognition will not function if the privacy slider is closed. This model comes with a fingerprint reader for logging in quickly. In my use, I have found that it has worked flawlessly so far. Scanning of your preferred finger was easy and Cortana walked me through the process in my initial computer setup. In fact, Cortana walked me through everything with ease. For those who don’t know, Cortana is your personal Windows assistant. Think Alexa, but for your computer. If that wasn’t enough, Alexa is also built right in for you to use with your Amazon account. If you prefer not using virtual assistants, you can use one or the other, or turn both off completely for a more classic computing experience. The size of this computer is also really great for people who are on-the-go. Not huge, but also not small. I would say just right. You don’t need a special backpack to fit it. Most laptop backpacks on the market will house this with ease. In a world full of tech and so many choices for mobile computers, I am extremely happy with this Dell. It ticks all of the right boxes for me. While it isn’t perfect and nothing is, it is a solid offering that does what I ask it to do with minimal effort. This is an exceptionally durable and compact laptop/tablet rolled into one. After playing around with it for a few days, I am satisfied with the speed and usability. The fingerprint reader is a great touch for quick and secure access when logging on. When flipping the screen back to go from laptop to tablet, I like the popup option that asks if you want to turn on ‘tablet mode’. There are times when you might not want it to be in ‘tablet mode’, depending on the task at hand. The screen and audio quality is pretty good for my needs. You may have trouble seeing it in bright daylight, along with a glare. Indoors, it is satisfactory and had everything looks crisp. The 2-1 does have a good battery life, topped off with a quick charger cable that took about 1 to 1.5 hours to fully charge. Gaming ability: Although it is not billed as a gaming computer, I was able to run Roblox and Rocket League with no issue. For Call of Duty Warfare fans, I attempted to get it up and running but have run into issues with freezing and DirectX crashing. You may need to find a balance between graphics quality and stability to get it working properly. Some negative points: It does have some heft to it. At times it feels too heavy, especially when using it in tablet mode. Also, I would have preferred to have a screen that flips around so that the keyboard is hidden when using it in tablet mode. You are constantly feeling the keys and it can be somewhat awkward at times, especially when most of u have become accustomed to a nice smooth backing when working with tablets. Regarding the storage, it is minimal in 2021 with 512GB. The above-mentioned games used already used half of the space.

The overall build is solid as a laptop (Blue Color is subtle) but in tablet mode it needs adjustment. There are gaps between the back of the screen and back of the laptop when in tablet mode but I think that’s for all 2in1. Personally I want it flush tablet. Charging is done by a USB C cable. I really like this feature because I can keep one charger for my laptop and phone. There are only 2 USB ports but this that’s enough for the majority of users. The 14in screen size is a perfect size for me. Not too big or too small just right. It’s a great balance of size, weight and performance. I am getting around 8 to 9 hours of run time under “normal” use.

This laptop is absolutely perfect for our photography needs, as we use it for tethering our camera so we can control our camera from the little laptop, it's also so lightweight, that when allowing clients to view their photos it's not a burden to hold. The fact that it can be a tablet as well (Fold the keyboard all the way back), is amazing. The touch screen doesn't show fingerprints and works very well compared to most touchscreen PCs. Overall I'm very happy with this product.

This is a great little laptop in my opinion. With the 512GB SSD it boots super fast, and the screen is very sharp and easy to view. The 14" size is a nice compromise for portability, but yet it's still large enough that even my (somewhat) older eyes are able to read everything just fine. I was also impressed that I could get two external monitors working with it. I work from home so being able to get more screen real estate this way will be fantastic. Then, when I'm done and want to have something to read social media feeds and watch TV I can flip it into tablet mode and chill on the couch. The laptop weighs just under 3 lbs 6 oz (at least on my kitchen scale) which is a comfortable weight to handle. Rather than the design being ultra thin and not having anything but a USB-C port like some laptops, this one is well stocked with two regular USB, one USB-C, an HDMI port, a headphone jack, and an SD card reader. Personally, I'd rather have the available ports and a slightly thicker laptop. I was able to get one external monitor via the HDMI port, then one via the USB-C port. In order to do that and get power, though, I used a Dell external USB hub that had power pass-through. Rounding out the nice features are the fingerprint reader/power button and the backlit keyboard. I've got another laptop that does NOT have the backlit keyboard and I really miss it at times, so I was super happy this Dell had it. The fingerprint reader works great for me to unlock Windows without having to type a password or pin. Overall, I'm very happy with this device and would highly recommend it for someone looking for a 2-in-1.

The machine works well until it overheats, warps the unit and then cracks the screen. Dell has been good about replacing it, but they don't have the parts. It is literally going to take 6 months to get this thing repaired.

It is an excellent option for the price I paid, due to the CPU model, RAM size and the other hardware features in it, to give a great performance.

Just like the title. It's just great in my opinion.

I can barely write a nice thing about this computer without having a con 16gb of ram is nice on paper but that is only one stick, Ryzen Processors critically need 2 sticks so its a $87 out of pocket charge to get it to full power the screen is poor quality especially for a $1,000 laptop only half a TB of storage is fine for the $500-800 range but $1,000? no way Ive had to fully fresh install due to it just not working the rubber feet has fallen off and it sometimes just doesn't connect to the wifi I got this as I thought Dell was a quality brand, I was devastatingly wrong

broke 1 day after warranty ended, will try to pursue some satisfaction not going to hold my breath, first and last dell for me. 700 bucks down the drain.
