Needed to replace my screen because it was dropped during first year of owning. I contacted Dell they honored the replacement and for a small fee fixed it very quickly. I am very happy!

I love my new 14” Dell laptop! It’s super compact and thin so great for travel yet big enough for me to see the screen! I used to have to carry a laptop bag anytime I was going to leave the house. Now I can just toss this one in my purse and go! The only this I was worried about was if the screen would be large enough for me to see (I’m in my 40s) and I preciously had a 16”. But I totally LOVE it and can see it just fine. Only time will tell if it holds up but so far I love it and it’s working great! The color said blue but it’s your standard dark grayish black. It has 2 USB ports and an HDMI port. It’s perfect!

I purchased this computer to replace an aging 2 in 1 I relied upon heavily. I did quite a bit of online research because past experience had been that AMD processors in notebooks tended to be slow, run hot and battery power tended to be short lived. Since I couldn't really find any information, I took the plunge figuring I would return it if there was an issue. There was no need to be concerned. This computer is bunny quick and runs cooler than the Intel powered computer it replaced with several hours of battery usage available (and no noticeable speed difference on battery).

Writing this review after initial unboxing and setup. Was expecting WD blue SSD. The machine came with an Sk Hynix NVMe. Seams to work. Hope it won't be a problem. I work close to an OEM and if I had know Sk Hynix was involved, might not have purchased. The computer is really nice and if you don't have access to check one in the store, I can say that the screen is really nice. Bought this for my daughter. As such I need to have 2 local accounts on the machine. She is only 13. Setting that up on Windows 10 home isn't a deal breaker. Had to disconnect internet to add her account locally. Microsoft wants the account to be through their web services. I don't want that as she has lost passwords for numerous emails already. This issue is going to get much worse when Windows 11 ships in Oct. Really glad to have this now in September. This reason for only 3 stars is the fan noise. If it were mine, I would be returning it and picking up a Ryzen 5. The Ryzen 5 I saw in store had no fan noise. Don't need Ryzen 7. But do need the larger hard drive. Also disappointed in advice I got from sales associate. I was told that the machine has memory and hard drive sodered in. Which I gather is not true at all based on other reviews. Need to a manual which was not even shipped with the machine to verify. Machine is a good bargen and likely upgradable. Fan noise is more than I can stand.

I love this little laptop! I upgraded from a crappy little $300 Lenovo from Walmart. I’ve had my Inspiron for almost two months now and I’m impressed by the graphics and the ability to run without sounding like an airplane ready for take off. I was a little skeptical getting a smaller screen as my old laptop was like 17 inches or something like that, but it’s not bad at all! The fingerprint reader to log into the computer is super convenient and all around cool. I picked this core because I like to play games as well as school so I wanted something a little more substantial and this laptop was it.

This is an excellent computer. If you have not used AMD Ryzen processors do not hesitate. The price point on this laptop is excellent. The machine is solid and well built. It is on the heavy side but still travels well. It is also upgradeable. I will upgrade to 32MB of Ram but 16MB in this configuration is still excellent. I run alot of browser tabs and resource heavy apps like Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Power BI Desktop, etc at the same time with no real issues.

When I first purchased the fan was extremely loud and almost made a grinding noise. I was able to quickly return the laptop and get a brand new one. My new one has not had any issues compared to my first laptop. I enjoy that the laptop is compact and smaller. Overall, I like it so far, but it lost a star due to the first mishap.

With the 8core AMD Ryzen 7 5700U, 16gb of RAM, and 512GB SSD this Dell is a great performer. It handles multitasking with ease, and is even capable of some light gaming. The 14" 1080p touchscreen is clear and gets acceptably bright. Color richness and contrast are fine, but not as good as the best in the category. Speakers are loud and about what is expected in this range. The build quality, keyboard, and materials are top notch. Having two USB-A ports, USB-C (no Thunderbolt) HDMI, and Micro SD ports is nice as well. So overall for the money, this Dell is a top performer in the class, easily beating Intel 11th Gen machines in multithreading scores. It is as well made as its peers, the 14" screen size is the perfect sweet spot, and the keyboard is amazing. The webcam is a bit better than average and the privacy shutter is a nice touch. Battery life is above average too. What sets the Dell apart is that the RAM, SSD, WIFI card, and battery are all easily user-replaceable. Very few laptops permit RAM to be upgraded these days, making the Dell more future proof than most laptops in the class. Also, Dell offers Dell Mobile Connect, the only practical option for using iMessage with Windows. This is a great laptop now, an incredible value for money, and with its upgradeable design this is a laptop that can go the distance.

Overall, a very good and quick laptop. Purchased this last week, and still getting used to using its features and all it has to offer. I used an Asus before this one and was a big fan of that laptop. pros: -very nice and sleek laptop design. -the speakers on this are really nice, crisp, and clear. -love the backlit keyboard. -although I miss windows 10 and the way it looked, windows 11 has a very clean and minimalistic look to it. It offers a lot to the user, including productivity apps which are really helpful. cons: -fingerprint reader does not work sometimes, had to reset it in the settings, and it's still acting funky. -touchpad and keyboard are ok, the keys themselves could be wider, and the up and down keys are way to tiny and thin for my pinky to use. I find that part really annoying. -some time getting used to windows 11 for me. -screen could be a little brighter if in lighter places such as outside. Will update on anything else I might notice! Hopefully some will find this helpful.

While we didn't end up keeping this item, it's a very fast and capable computer. Loved the touch and feel of the keyboard and touchpad, and the screen was bright and crisp and the sound from the speakers was very strong considering the small size of the computer. The only reason we DIDN'T keep it is that my partner wanted to have a number pad on the keyboard which this didn't have. Would recommend this to anyone who doesn't care about the number key pad.. ;-)

I got this while it was on sale. Im a college student. Its very compact and easy to travel with me. 16gb of ram! Very decent size. My only issue is that the hinges on the laptop. When you open it up it moves. Its hard to explain but i guess it also does something for the keyboard so its easier to type? Otherwise its a good little laptop.
