My first Dell Inspiron - only used Latitudes till this machine. Great machine from processing, ergonometric, battery life, and price performance point of view. Handles music processing and Hi-Res photo processing without issues. (I am not a gamer). New style Dell Lattitude packaging is great. Using Windows 10 pro and MS Office - still getting used to the new office browser-based presentation, but I think it has some advantages.

In less than a year, the screen form a hairline crack that caused touchscreen to not work on half. When I contacted Dell about it they insisted that I had dropped it. We replaced on our own. Now one hinge became stuck in place and came unhinged cracking the bottom of the screen where it connects. I looked it up and there is a class action lawsuit against Dell for their hinges being faulty. I have barely had this laptop over a year. We just paid it off. It is junk and I wish we would’ve spent our money on a different. It says it is $700-$1800 to fix the hinge. Not to mention the screen needs to be replaced again.

Amazing lightweight computer. Long battery life. Fast speedy connection

This is not my favorite notebook. Not by ANY stretch of the imagination. If used as a desktop replacement and not carried around very much, it's not bad. However, if used as a tablet, there were far too many difficulties with the screens sensitivity regarding simple pressure to the BOTTOM of the unit activating the mouse, so I selected not to use it that way much, which left the "laptop" portion. More problems with the mouse and screen. The mouse finally stopped activating all the time after I added a blutooth mouse. Again, great for attaching external devices for use as a desktop replacement, however, ask anything more of the thing and it morphs into a millstone you want nothing more than to chuck into the deepest part of the ocean, never to be dealt with again.

Love it! This laptop is lightweight and fast. I have another laptop and it is so heavy.

I love this laptop. It's a great size, it's light and compact and easy to transport. I use this primarily for writing, job hunting, and personal use but also occasionally for work, which requires more processing power and memory. This laptop performs well. I haven't used the tablet feature yet, but I'm excited to try it out. overall I am very happy with this laptop. I think it will last me for a while.

I use it for school, battery lasts through all my classes and touch screen is very helpful

Hinges broke after about year of barely opening it

Laptop is really affordable and its fast. No complains. Strongly recommend it.

I purchased 2 of these laptops and have the same problem. One I had it fixed and paid almost $80 for the repair even though it's still under warranty. The other one has the same problem, but I don't to spend another dime on it. Not of good quality and the warranty is a waste.

I bought this computer 2 years ago and the touchscreen has malfunctioned to the point I have to disable it. I found out the part is $150 to replace and close to $200 in labor... Very sad because I loved this computer :(

Very happy with the laptop. Speed, battery life and display are all awesome.

I’ve owned this computer for 3 years now and i really like it, with the exception of the RIGHT HINGE THAT HAS BROKEN CONSISTENTLY EVERY YEAR.. so i bought Best Buy protection plan for about $175/year. This just means I’m out more money and my computer for 1-2 weeks. And now i have to pay $5 more a month to continue this service as the Best Buy plan covers 2 years alone and then you pay the extra $5.
