Computer has been great. Touch screen is fabulous, not too sensitive. Fast enough for what I need which is basic every day uses. I haven't tried to play games or do anything too complicated on this computer.

    Dell Inspiron review

I very much like my new laptop. I've had a Dell laptop at home and at work for many years. This new one is amazingly fast by my past standards, it is lightweight and has a full size key board/number pad. I'm using it for over 12 hours a day for work and pleasure. The screen is large and clear. The Dell troubleshooting diagnostics that appear are a little annoying. The fingerprint reader cannot detect my print with any consistency. The 4 digit PIN for logon is great, but the face recognition (which I like best) is not available (wrong camera or something). Very happy so far.

Love how light it is, nice size & touch screen is awesome. For a home computer (budget, shopping on line...) it is a great purchase. If you are good with a keyboard it is fine, if not the letters and numbers can be hard to see in certain light/angles. But I work in accounting so it is not a problem for me. Oh, love the separate number pad. Overall I am really enjoying my purchase and the ease of setting everything I needed up and running was nice.

Used at home for work and personal use. Great size for computer that isn't used for a lot of mobile work. Seems pretty sturdy after a month of use. Screen is large, clear, and responsive to touch. Have gotten at least 8 hours from battery with plenty of power remaining. Keyboard is very comfortable and keys have nice movement/feel - number pad is a nice bonus. Sound, mic, and camera are good for video calls and get pretty loud considering the speakers are on bottom in laptop configuration. Sound is better in tent/tablet mode due to direction of speakers to user. Nice amount of RAM and speedy processor are good for all typical uses. Don't use this computer for games or 3d modeling so can't comment on performance there. Great value at price on sale.

    Huge upgrade

I've only been using this laptop for a few weeks, but so far it's been great. This was a huge upgrade for me, when I got to thinking about it I realized my last laptop purchase was ten years ago. It lasted eight years and I've been using my wife's (also very old) laptop since. Everything runs smoothly, it's quick and responsive. I don't use the tablet mode much, but it's nice to have. I still feel that 15.6 inches is the perfect screen size unless you're using your laptop on the go constantly. This model isn't too heavy. The fit and finish is excellent, it has an aluminum finish, keys have a perfect click and do not feel spongy, cables fit snugly, etc. My required features were the backlit keyboard and number pad, both work well. The one thing I've noticed is the arrows took some getting used to because they're fairly small and closely packed together. Screen is vivid. I'm glad I opted for the 7000. I narrowed every option at Best Buy down to this model alone. Fortunately that was a Sunday night and the sale took effect the next day. It dropped from $930 to $730 and I snatched it up immediately.

    Great Computer for College Student

Purchased this as a gift for a college freshman. So much of the college experience is now by computer. The lap top has held up wonderfully so far. The foldable, two-in-one screen feature has been very useful for doubling as both an academic computer for school work and a tablet for streaming movies, shows and playing video games. The student uses the computer for movies/entertainment instead of having a T.V. in the dorm room. This model is heavier than some of the other, smaller Dell models, but we intentionally chose to buy a computer with a bigger screen since college students are using their laptops so much more these days. The slight increase in weight/dimensions justifies the added screen size in our opinion. The built in video camera and speakers have worked well for those times when college courses were held online/virtually due to COVID protocols. Very happy with our purchase.

I’m usually an hp buyer but I decided to be different and buy a dell. I don’t regret it . They are both good and dell might be a little bit more user friendly. The screen size is good and it is not heavy. The programs are good and battery life long

I purchased this to replace an old laptop. I see a lot of reviews that have issues with the screen, wondering if those are using it as the 2 in 1 it's supposed to be. Maybe that's causing stress on the display cable. I only use it as a laptop since that's what it replaced and it has been flawless. Battery life is good if you shut it down when finished. If you just close it, it doesn't seem to go to sleep properly and will continue to run the battery down. So far that's about normal for most Windows laptops. Overall the specs are good and it is much faster than the old laptop it replaced that really had the same specs but was much older. The newer chips and SSD's are much faster. The touch screen is nice and the display is crisp and clean. Sound is good for what it is. It's built well with a solid case. The 32 GB Optane is nothing more than 32 GB of the 512 GB set aside for prefetch. For my use this actually works out well, I use it with a dedicated web application that loading more information from the web page helps in overall speed.

I have had this laptop for about a month and a half and it is the fastest laptop that I have ever owned. The screen is big and has an amazing picture. The touch screen speeds up the productivity for all of my business applications. Definitely the best bang for the buck at my local store.

This is an amazing laptop. You can buy cheaper laptops but what most people don't realize is when you pay for a better laptop, you get more. This laptop has a beautiful screen, a high-end camera and the power/speed to do what you need to do for business applications (I can't speak to gaming). It's light-weight and travels well. The screen is big enough that you feel like you are not squinting to see things. The battery lasts forever. If you do Zoom, it can handle the green screen backgrounds. The 500 GB SSD drive is roomy and fast but the 32GB Optane memory increases boot and app loading times to make them even faster. I love this computer.

    Mouse Pad Issues!

If you are looking for a laptop to do normal mundane tasks, It is an alright laptop, The mouse pad is crap, the battery life is horrible but the speed is good. The mouse pad works sometimes and then it doesn't. If you get it, you'll need to invest in a mouse and be near an outlet. It's been giving my dad these issues since he first bought it but he's gotten used to it. Of course, I used it a few times too so I understand the issue as well. The laptop itself is alright but not the mouse pad.

Needed a new laptop. My ten year old unit was dying a slow death and the battery was useless. I picked this Dell Inspiron because of past experience with Dell products, which have always been good. It's quick to boot up, fast at doing all that I ask of it, and the screen is great at producing colors. I'm not crazy about Windows 10, but I guess with time I'll learn to adjust (from Windows 7). All in all, I'm fully satisfied with this purchase. It recharges fast and the battery lasts quite a while, though I'm comparing it with my old laptop battery which lasted literally five minutes AT BEST! I'm giving it an "Average" vote for ease of use because of Windows 10, which is based on MY ease of use - ahem.

I bought this computer as a replacement for a similarly equipped Lenovo Yoga that died three weeks after the warranty ran out. I have owned several Dell computers so it was easy to choose this PC instead of another brand. This is a typical Dell computer. It is well-configured at a reasonable price. It does everything very well and has very good performance for a computer in this price range. My only quibbles are that the trackpad is not as precise as others I have used, and the light gray letters on the keyboard are difficult to see against the silver keys.
