However I returned it. The silver keys are very difficult for me to see but I don't have the best eyesight.

I purchased this Inspiron to replace another Inspiron I had for 5 years and used at least 8 hours a day and performed very well. I find this Laptop to more cumbersome. Especially do not like the silver keyboard which is very difficult to read when backlight is on .. next time I may switch to an HP

We appreciate your valued feedback. We apologize for the issues you have come across with the keyboard lighting of your Inspiron 7506 2 in 1. To help with the keyboard lighting issue we suggest disabling the backlit keyboard when you are in lit areas. Below I have provided the steps to disable the backlighting and the full article link.
Backlit keyboard options in BIOS
1. Click the + sign next to System Configuration.
2. Click Keyboard Illumination.
3.* Disabled or Off - The keyboard illumination is off.
*Dim - The keyboard illumination is at half brightness.
*Bright - The keyboard illumination is at full brightness.
4. Click Apply, and then Exit.

The young Associate who helped us choose it was very helpful but not at all pushy. Because I had saved everything from my old computer (completely dead, as far as I could tell) to the "Cloud", getting the new computer up and running was a piece of cake. Ask soon as I opened up the Inspiron, Cortana started talking to me and the new computer was up and running in just a few minutes! I'm 77 years old, certainly not a "techie". Dell made it easy.
