Great overall, little buggy at start but that's to be expected with a brand new processor/card. After a few uses and updates, bugs went away. Worth the price for sure after a few days! Pros: Screen Brightness Quality of Picture Processing Speed Cons: Temperature gets a little warm occasionally Notice: Purchased For Parent who uses it for work purposes. Not used for gaming.

Laptop performance is as expected. The only issue is with the finger print scanner. Initial set-up was acceptable. after several uses the scanner doesn't recognize finger print. Reload finger print. The same thing happened. It also happens to other users. Don't expect to use fingerprint sign-in.

Exciting concept and with excellent specs...miserable design and execution. This laptop literally fell apart piece by piece. hairline crack in screen renders touch useless and therefore tablet mode. hinges do not hold up and within a few months screen separated from keyboard leaving only exposed wires holding it together..after which point screen blacked out left quarter followed by extreme color distortion throughout the remaining section. sitting in a storage closet after a year of minor use.

The Worse Expensive Computer You Can Waste Money O

This computer has major problems. You can't see the letters on the keyboard because the lighted letters blend in with the keys. When you type it does not respond well so you have to keep going back to erase your work and go really slow while checking every letter slowly. Your work gets erased. The screen size changes at will, and you have a terrible time adjusting it back every few minutes. You do more work trying to fix the computer than accomplishing anything.

I bought this in Nov and while I have had issues waking it up from sleep at times, I am hoping it is more of a Windows update than a Dell thing. I am still testing it out and hopefully it will work itself out through updates. Other than that, it is a decent laptop with good specs for the price.

Excellent laptop for school, or working from home, gaming not so much. This is a quality laptop if you’re looking for a laptop for college or a noodle/high school student to perform their virtual class lessons. This laptop also works great for remote working from home. For gamers please get a gaming laptop or pc as this is not built for that purpose.

In my opinion, this laptop is not a good value for the money. Less than a year in, the touchpad is finicky and often unresponsive. The battery has ceased to work so it will only stay on when plugged in. From day one, it had a propensity for overheating and would not go to sleep automatically when closed so it overheated that way a couple of times. The warranty requires that you send the laptop off, so unless you have a backup you can get by on during necessary repairs, I wouldn't recommend this... but why even bother at this pricepoint?

      Dear Emily,

We appreciate your feedback and review. We are sorry to hear about the issue you have experienced with your Inspiron 7506 2-in-1 laptop because its battery failed, the touchpad is not reliable, it is overheating and the sleep mode is not working properly. We understand how frustrated this could be. We will share your comments with our quality team, so future improvements can be made.

Some Notebooks and Tablets with Keyboards have added gesture features to the touchpad hardware and drivers. A few of these features are two or three-finger scrolling, pinch zoom, circle zoom, rotation, and swiping. These new features may be the reason for the erratic cursor movement since most are turned on by default. You can disable or modify the way the features work in the touchpad driver properties. Here are some tips to modify these settings:

      1. In the Search box, type main.cpl.
      2. Touch or click main.cpl in the list of programs.
      3. Touch or click the Dell Touchpad tab.
      4. Touch or click on the picture of the touchpad.
      5. Touch or click Gestures (depending on your computer there may not be a Gestures option).
      6. Change the options as preferred.
      7. Touch or click Save.
      8. Touch or click the X in the upper-right corner to close the Dell Touchpad Utility.
      9. Touch or click OK on the Mouse Properties window.
      10. If the touchpad still does not work after following the preceding steps, refer to Dell Knowledge Base article - http://dell.to/2iaiujA.

You can read the full article here - http://dell.to/2tqmS02.

To help with overheating issue, we would recommend making sure the BIOS is up to date on your PC. I have provided a link to the Drivers and Downloads page so you can check for and do any applicable updates. Dell has also released an Intel Power Management Utility to help with the overheating that you may be experiencing on your computer. For this package to take effect, the system power plan must be set to Balanced under the Additional Power Settings. Also, the Power Mode option that is displayed when you click the battery icon, should be set to Better Performance. This package only takes effect on AC power and not on battery power. The Intel Power Management Utility can be found here - http://dell.to/3tStRgX.

      Drivers and Downloads Page: https://dell.to/3LI7X8m

I have also provided the steps to run The Windows Power Troubleshooter to help resolve the sleep mode issue. I have included the full article link, which has more options if they are needed.

      Run Windows Power Troubleshooter
      1. Open the Power Troubleshooter
*Click on the Windows Start Button and type Troubleshoot, select the troubleshoot icon that appears to open the troubleshooter
      2. Scroll down through the options and select power
      3. Click on the Run the troubleshooter button
      4. Follow the on-screen prompts and see if it resolves the issue

If the issue with your computer is still not resolved after utilizing the troubleshooting options above, please contact the Dell Support Team at 1-800-624-9896 for further guidance.
