Got this laptop a while ago and it is great. Use it for work, my children use it for school work and surfing the net. Battery lasts about six hours of continuous use. Display is crisp and clear. Speed is responsive and not lagging. I highly recommend it.

I bought this laptop to replace a HP which began to smoke when powered on. The Inspiron is lightning fast, has a very nice display, and is easy to carry. The ability to use as a tablet is very convenient when sitting in a car or, if we ever get to fly again, sitting in coach. The lighted keyboard is a little hard to read in daylight (poor contrast) and the lack of an optical DVD/CD drive is a negative. But overall, I very much like the computer and recommend it.

Dell Inspiron

I have owned dell for quite a while and had less issues. My Dell studio 15 still works great and that's 10 years old. I had an Inspiron, almost 5 years old and that had an issue once when it wouldn't boot.As it was within warranty, Dell fixed it for me.
I was eyeing for a 15 inch touchscreen laptop to get on Black Friday I went through a lot tof online reviews and top contenders were Dell XPS15, HP XP 360 Spectre and Dell Inspiron 7000 2 in 1 (#7506).
XPS has a great many good reviews when compared to HP spectre. Many users reviewed about over heating and fan working too loud on the Spectre. Dell seemed comparatively better. XPS 15 was pricey and 15 inch touch screen was upward of 1900s. Spectre specs was unbeatable and Best buy had a $500 discount. Dell 7506 was less reviewed compared to the other 2.
The config I got has 16G RAM dual channel, core i7 Tigerlake & iris xe graphics with 512 GB SSD
Pros:
1. The build quality is super nice. It's thin but doesn't flex and has an aluminum frame
2. Touch pad is great and seems to be made of glass
3. It has a camera blocker to protect privacy
4. Boots superfast like 5 seconds to boot and login with finger print
5. Quite and doesn't heat up, I haven't used it for cpu intensive tasks yet, so far so good
6. Touch screen is great and for the price this machine is a steal.
Cons:
1. Only 1 color is available for this config, the silver color is fine, but I've always used black key board and I like that more. A different config black is available but too pricey at 1500+
2. The key board back light is white color, while light on white key board makes it a bit difficult to see the letters

This laptop has all the features I was looking for in a portable computer. My concern was the battery life, but with the 4 cell battery and battery performance turn on you can get around 5 hours of which I think is good. Also charge fast.
Definitely a very good portable computer. Boot and turn off fast. Wi fi is excellent, enough memory ram (16), optional bright keaboard, very stylish, touch screen very responsive. Enough ports and solid state hard drive (512 gb). I would definitely recommend it!

It’s a bit early for this review as we have barely scratched the surface of this laptops abilities. So far;
1) love the speed
2) screen quality is well above average
3) keypad is a bit uncomfortable
4) love the fold-back “tablet” conversion
5) printer set-up took way longer than expected but could be “operator error
6) should have waited a couple weeks to get Windows 11

Great laptop, sleek design with fairly light weight that can do anything you would want from a computer. I specifically wanted a touchscreen laptop for school (editing PDF's, taking notes, annotating straight from the screen then saving to files), with a number lock key pad for easier input (Math classes). Screen is nice, back-lit keyboard. However, speaker is at the bottom of computer which makes sound quality "okay" compared to my older HP Envy laptop.

I will preface this review by saying that I have never been a fan of Dell. I have never owned one, and have always thought their products to be inferior to other makers. This laptop is amazing. It's quick to boot up, without a ton of bloatware bogging it down. System performance is fantastic, this thing just does not stop... I am a heavy excel user, and no issues manipulating large spreadsheets, pivot tables, etc. Screen resolution is fantastic, the laptop is not very heavy and does not get excessively hot.
The fingerprint reader has worked well to log in. I haven't used it in tablet mode much, I will say it's an awkward size to use that way... it's quite long in tablet mode. I would absolutely buy this laptop again.

This is the perfect computer for what I need it for. It has the Core i7 processor, 10-key, touchscreen, and soft-touch keys as I type.
I've yet to see a blue or green screen come up and stay there. It opens, runs smoothly, and without a lag for my daily use of ESRI's ArcPro, Adobe CC programs, Final Draft, and Microsoft 360.
Half of what I'm seeing on here for the low review is people not knowing where or how to turn out their keyboard's backlight. Simply press the button above the 5 in the number row. If your backlight is on low, pressing it once will turn it to the brighter backlit light, and pressing it once more will turn it off.
Again to turn off your backlight, PRESS F5 to turn it off. (that's what the button is for.)
I've turned mine off, and it works just fine. ****F5**** without the fn button at the bottom. Just like turning up your screen's brightness by pressing F6, or lowering it with F7. Try it out!
Happy computer using!!

I researched various laptops before purchasing this one and I'm so happy with my decision! After having my previous Dell for over 5 years, I wanted to upgrade. I am an accountant and rely on my computer for most of my work.
I wanted a laptop that was lightweight, fast, had a good amount of storage, long battery life, and a numeric keypad (as I use this on a daily basis). This laptop checked ALL those boxes as well as being touch screen, having a backlit keyboard, built in privacy shutter for the camera, and the 2-in-1 tablet feature.
I also love that I can connect my iPhone to the laptop via Dell Mobile Connect so I can get my text messages and reply right from my laptop while I'm working.

This Dell laptop is superbly fast very quick and wonderfully runs Microsoft Wyndos 11. This unit was purchased so that I could do some day-to-day tasks like email surfing the web and doing some online shopping. In a few weeks I realized I was going to use it also to do some basic video editing and this unit is powerful enough to support those tests also. It also runs Microsoft office 365 with no problems and it’s a pleasure to work with. The screen on this unit is really crystal clear in very visible. One small quirk about this unit is that the keyboard can be a little hard to see in bright light and you have to be looking at it straight down but in dark surroundings it works just fine. I use an external mouse and that’s much better than the touchpad. This really is a very well designed and a nice computer

I got this laptop specifically for work purposes. I am normally an Apple user, but the system I needed for work wouldn’t be compatible with a Mac. I was nervous to get another product because of my loyalty to Apple, but I could not be more pleased and impressed with this laptop. It is easy and fun to use. It has so many cool features. It can turn into a tablet, drawing or tracing pad, it’s touch screen, and you can hand write anything you need. The screen is large and the picture is clear and crisp. It works so fast and my internet isn’t very strong, but you wouldn’t know it with this computer. I was able to sync the laptop with my iPhone, making work so much easier when I don’t have my laptop. I would definitely purchase this laptop for anything you need it for.

I absolutely love this laptop. It's speed it great and the graphics are beautiful. I especially love the touch screen, which I find I use more often that I thought I would. The ability to turn the laptop into a tablet by folding it over is so cool, and I find myself using this feature a lot. It also has backlighted keys, which I love also. I can't say enough about this 2 in one laptop, it has far more options on it than I am use to using, so it has been a great experience learning and using all the options. I would definitely recommend this product and would buy it again.

FAILS: Camera Connection & Fingerprint Reader

Open box item marked returned due to "residue", assured fully functional.
A few days in, the fingerprint reader becomes consistently inconsistent, requiring the password since it cannot read clean fingerprints or "something went wrong on our end".
Two weeks in, the camera frazzles, disrupts video & zoom communication. Zoom could not detect the camera. Thinking it needed a zoom update, I update zoom but continue to have lines frazzle or glitch my zoom screen or get somehow disconnected & require manual reconnection of the camera.
One month in, even the Support Assist cannot find a camera to run diagnostics in. Big disappointment. I wonder if the discounted price I got will be worth the trouble?
How does Dell deal? Or Best Buy?

This has been an outstanding laptop for work use. I've used HP for years, but the last 2 HP laptops suffered ridiculous failures that left me hanging.
This 2-in-1 was reasonably priced for the specs. Data analysis consumes much of my time, but the rest is spent navigating an ERP and using some mid-level graphics-hungry software. I've never had a single issue with performance. Even with dozens of spreadsheets, ERP applications, browser windows, and 3D renderings open/running simultaneously, it's fast and smooth. Build quality is excellent. Backlit keyboard, metal case, narrow bezel, thin frame. It's not flashy, but classy enough for monthly board meetings or customer presentations. My only complaint is that there's only 1 USB-C port. I run a 2nd monitor with mine, but have to unplug it if I need to take advantage of the higher file transfer speeds.
If you're considering this one, just do it already. You won't be disappointed.
