Owned for 9 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had such a difficult time with this laptop I've had it for around 9 months and since around the 3 month mark it started doing this thing where it will randomly turn off or the screen will go black and it won't turn on, it won't charge and then a few days later it will turn back on. It's extremely annoying and honestly feels like I wasted $1200 (after taxes).

Below I have some resolutions to help solve the random shutdowns and the full article link. We do recommend making sure your BIOS is up to date. I have given you a link to the Drivers and Downloads page for your PC so you can check for and do any applicable updates.
*Inspect and clean the air vents and fans
*Restart the computer
*Update the BIOS and Chipset driver
*Download and install Microsoft Windows updates
*Run a hardware diagnostic test
*Use Dell Power Manager to manage thermal performance (applicable for select Dell laptops)
*Improve efficiency to reduce heat
*Perform a Windows System Restore
