Finally found a Dell configuration that has all I was looking for (which is more than I need) at a reasonable price. Didn't necessarily want a 17" screen but I'm glad I got it- the display is really nice. The QHD is better than FHD but your not paying the astronomical price for 4K- nice compromise. Delivery was as promised, everything happened like it's supposed to, which is (unfortunately) uncommon these days.

Dell Inspiron 7706 2n1 is my favorite laptop to date. It is fast and I adapted to it easily. It has exceeded my expectations.

For the Dell - Inspiron 7000 2-in-1 - 17" QHD+ Touch Laptop I purchased about one months ago. The rating was 4 out of 5 stars, because the keyboard is exceedingly difficult to read in most light conditions. My personal workaround is to lower the monitor between 45 to 60 degrees to use the monitor light to illuminate the keyboard. A mouse is a must to execute easier many computer functions. I am happy with the speed, monitor and all other functions this laptop offers.

This is a large computer with a great screen. It processes quickly, a big Improvement over my previous computer.

My use case is as a developer machine with a few docker containers and one or two virtual machines. Pros: Great 17" touch display - plenty bright for indoor use and 3K resolution. The colors are decent, good enough for content consumption, but probably not for content creators. Hefty but usable as a giant tablet - no drawing pen support though - I confirmed this with Dell. Optane SSD drive is FAST - Windows and apps launch quickly. Expandable with 2 slots - allegedly expandable to 64GB (2X32GB). Cons: Only single SSD NVME drive slot which is occupied by included Optane SSD. Included Optane drive only supported with drivers for Windows, so you will lose the acceleration benefits under Linux. Included RAM is on the sluggish side, so I expect overall performance could be improved with an upgrade to better spec modules. Lightweight gaming is do-able but fans will max out you will feel the heat. Keyboard backlight is white on silver keys - a very silly choice. But you can set the BIOS auto-off the backlight after 10 seconds - so I always leave them on the dim setting for day and night use. Bottom Line: If you have to have a 17" 2-in-1, your options are limited and this is a decent choice.

This laptop exceeds my expectations. Does everything I need it to, very useful. The large screen is fantastic.

Overall, very solid laptop. No complaints about speed, and display is nice. The touchscreen is responsive, but I find it unpractical in normal use. I would have given five stars, but the keyboard feels flimsy vs. my business grade Latitude. Keys not very tactile and Dell could have made better use of the empty space. I normally attach external keyboard which don't have to do with the Latitude.

Fantastic laptop. Speed is excellent, screen clarity is excellent and it’s nice and big without being too heavy.

This laptop is a good laptop but the durable multilayer touch screen surprised me. About a month and a half after buying this dell, I am impressed by multilayered screen. BYFAR the sturdiest screen I have bought. Traveling laptop ForeSure. I have had a few glitches with the display/ and softwear randomly happen(minorfix) I am currently waiting on a second DELL LAPTOP!!

Best computer ever!! Easy to navigate fast supports the apps that I need to run. Like xactimate and ccc1 plus Microsoft office.

Love the large screen and the almost instant boot-up. Was in need of an update to run 3d cad software, and 3d printing slicer software. This is a major improvement over my old HP. The only issue I have is the keys are difficult to read depending on your angle because of the white font on silver keys, the reasoning for the “ease of use” rating.

Solid laptop. I bought this for my wife’s business. It is very fast and works great. She is very happy with it.
