There is no lag when having multiple programs open. I had chrome tabs, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, and Spotify open, and the performance was smooth. I did return it and I am looking to repurchase it. The reason I returned it was because a few keys on the keyboard would stick after pressing them.

Speed, display, ports, disk & ram capacity - all good. Why three stars? The keyboard's backspace key works intermittently. The phono jack typically does not recognize a headset being plugged into it. The USB-C port does recognize a headset.

Below I have provided the steps to run the Microsoft Sound Troubleshooter which should help with audio jack issues. I have also included the full article link that has more options if they are needed.

1. Click Start, and then select Settings (gear icon).
2. Click Update & Security and select Troubleshoot.
3. Click Playing Audio and then click Run the troubleshooter.

I knew what I wanted as far as specifications, however once home, I was disappointed in only having ONE USB input! The other item that is of disappointment is the changes that have been made in technology! I'm so living under the rock!! My last time purchasing a computer was in 2008!!! A lot has happened since then! What a learning curve. With the product I am happy, but again disappointed in only the ONE USB input!

Intel Optane/SSD drive failed within three months

They have some quirks like the keyboard backlight not always wanting to shut off when you tell it to but overall they've been good and the 17" screen is nice if you need the extra real estate. Also - these 17" models have the builtin keypad to the right of the regular model which the smaller ones dont - so if you do accounting or a lot of number entry while you're on the road it's nice to have. Bad news is that the SSD portion of the Intel Optane 512gb SSD failed within about three months. Tried everything but the BIOS and OS and any utilities will only see the 32GB optane memory. Happened out of the blue with normal usage. Of course it's out of the store return period. Not worth it for us to deal with the warranty process and the cost of data recovery probably wouldn't be worth is for three months of what was on there so we're out of luck. Looks like we'll just replace the drive with anything but another stick of Intel SSD&Optane memory.
