This PC is amazing! Beautiful sharp display, lightning fast, easy to set up, versatile 2-in-1 tablet/laptop with touch screen. It's very attractive and not too heavy to carry around despite the 17" screen. Our only issues have been Windows-related (typical when transferring over to a new PC) - no hardware problems at all. I hope this laptop will last us a long time.

It was time to change my old Dell inspiron N7110 17” from 2012 which I loved because it never had a problem so I choose the same model Dell inspiron 7706 17” loaded with new great features like a dedicated graphic Nvidia card, a super-fast SSD hard drive and intel coreI7 11th gen. processor, touch screan. 2 in 1. Backlit keyboard. At this price range it is a very good deal. The setup was easy, the update of the BIOS was a little bit tricky but you have to have patience. Read the instructions and wait! So far, I’ve been using the laptop 3 weeks with no problems at all. It is fast and reliable. It has a few flaws that’s why I didn’t grade it 5 stars: The keyboard is very hard to see, you have to press fn to use the function keys which is annoying. It heat up a lot, I recommend using a laptop cooling pad that is always a good idea specially if it come with extra USB ports because the laptop only have 2.

Runs great, easy to use, with plenty of power for the average user. The large display with touchscreen, along with the more generous keyboard are wins. If I needed a new laptop, I would still buy this two years later.

I've owned this laptop for several days now. I'm enjoying it and feel it's worth full price, though I purchased it at a bit of a sale price. + Gorgeous Dolby Vision screen. Super bright; nothing really compares at this price point. 16:10 aspect ratio provides more vertical space for productivity but still works very well for movies and games. + Comfortable keyboard (key travel is shallow but keys are well placed and responsive). I'm coming from a Dell business laptop so I'm already familiar with the layout. I'm not a super fast typer, but I was able to get 80wpm on a typing test. The backlit keyboard looks nice and I personally don't have problems finding keys, but I guess if I had to "hunt and peck" the low contrast in color between the key fonts and keys could be an issue? + i7 processor is quick. I'm a software developer, so I tested this laptop's compile time for a small Webpack JavaScript project. It took ~5sec to compile the project compared to my 3 year old i5 laptop, which takes ~60seconds to compile. + For a non-gaming laptop, I can still get a solid 60fps in Overwatch and Fortnite with medium settings. + If you aren't doing a resource intensive activity, the fan noise is very low or non-existent. + It's a 17" screen that barely has a larger footprint than my 15" business laptop, thanks to this machines small bezels. I can fit it in a 15" laptop bag. - If you intend to game on this, you'll want to use a lap/cooling pad to separate your lap from the hot aluminum case. - McAfee antivirus must be uninstalled, unless that's something you want. - It has nice sounding speakers (if a little quiet, depending on the source) and headphone output, though you'll probably want to disable Dell's Waves Maxxaudio, which adds an ugly "echo in a tile room" sound effect. This is barely a con, though, since you can easily disable Waves by toggling a slider in the Waves software. BTW I paid $15 for Dolby Atmos software, which was worth it for me.

Purchasing my new laptop and business software was an painless experience. Performance is good. Installing the Microsoft 365 apps was easy. The 2-in-1 form-factor makes it very versatile for office use and portability. The display is sharp and clear. Battery life is good. This is a solid platform for an on-the-road business professional. I might have made different decisions regarding virus protection and security, if I had been told that the machine came with MacFee. The mouse and keyboard become intermittently unresponsive when the machine is idle. (Possibly due to my wireless keyboard and mouse setup)

One of the best features of this laptop is the sharp, vibrant, bright screen. I run the brightness anywhere from 50% to 80%. The colors are great and can be calibrated further via Intel's Graphics Command Center. Also, although this is not an OLED screen, there is no noticeable backlight bleed or IPS glow, which is absolutely amazing for a non-OLED panel. This is running a 17" 16:10 ratio screen manufactured by LG, different from last year's 17.3" 16:9 screen, which I believe was an AU Optronics panel. Kudos to Dell for going with an LG panel, which is near flawless. As far as performance, PC Mark score averages in the high 5300s, very close to Dell's own XPS 17 running Intel i7 10875H w/ GeForce 2060 Max-Q, which averaged in the high 5700s. Although not a gaming machine, good for casual gaming on low-medium settings at 1080p for current titles. Overall build quality is fantastic. All aluminum build with a full keyboard that has a great layout. Value/Performance is excellent and unless you're a gamer, the 11th Gen I7 1165G7 will serve you well. The added GeForce MX350 gives you that added pep if needed for casual gaming.

This is my third Inspiron 7000 2-in-1. This continues to be an excellent machine with ample RAM, the latest Core i7, and a good sized hard drive. Dell has increased the screen resolution and changed the aspect ratio to give more height and slightly less width, making the computer a little easier to handle, physically, while also making the screen better if you are writing, while still providing ample width for spreadsheets and video. My other Inspiron 7000s are still working fine (one is three years old and needed some physical repairs after a fall, all covered under Dell's warranty).

Think twice before purchasing this laptop..

Very disappointed. Looks great and feels like quality but doesn't meet up to what is expected for the price. I bought it in May 2020, when COVID hit in order to be able to work from home. However, I should have gone with an HP. To start off the fan on the Dell laptop is super loud that it get annoying and makes it difficult to concentrate on your work. Secondly, it laghs. Its not as fast as you would expect to get from an i7 processor. Multitasking does not go as smooth as I would wanted to be. Finally, the connection with Bluetooth devices or WiFi network most of the time do not happened automatically. That makes it frustrating having to reconnect, your mouse, wireless earbuds, etc. everytime just to get your day of work started. That's why i give this laptop a score of 2 stars. Also, i wanted to add that i kept up with the updates and updated my dell laptop computer on time every time a new update was released, but that didn't improved nor made my experience any better.

My wife was looing to upgrade her older heavy HP 17" screen. Best Buy had a great deal for this Dell and after taking it on a trip from WA state to Chicago, IL by car this was a great choice. Streaming movies and other video apps worked great. Setup was easy and the updates processed quickly. a much lighter and faster system and streaming was great, even with the traveling wifi changes. Lots of ports to use and a nice looking laptop.

After going back and forth 3 times to trying to find a laptop at best buy, I finally found the one. So far I have no problems with it and the battery life is amazing as well as the performance. The only weird thing about it is that im not sure if it fully shuts down because when you open up the laptop it automatically turns on and i fear this will affect the performance in the long run but as of right now I'm loving it. I thought it would be too big but I actually love the size especially in tablet mode. I'm an engineering student and working on solid works design is so easy and no lags

at first i thought the size of 17 inch is big and hard to carry, but this one is light weight (on 17 inch size) and it doesnt feel like it is a 17 inch laptop. the chasis design is great. i upgrade the ram to 32 gb and replace a samsung 970 EVO plus 1TB nvme SSD. It did boost up a lot of performance on this.

In a word: Beautiful. It's amazing to look at, so easy to set up, and very soft and supple to touch, (as different as that sounds about a machine). Now, fold it over, and touch the screen. Even better! It's brilliant to look at, regardless of the surrounding light ambiance. Installed with Windows 10, this is just simple to navigate, and with all the simple to follow tutorials (where needed), it's easy for my 70+ year old roommate to cruise through it. Making my life much more relaxing, and this laptop BEAUTIFUL to me!

I needed a new laptop and narrowed the choice down to this Dell and a 17" HP Envy. The HP cost about $150 more so I went with the Dell. It's nice, but there are a few things I don't like. The page down and page up buttons have the up arrow between them. I feel that these buttons should be right next to each other. When scrolling through large lists when it is easy to go past where you want to be, I have found myself trying to page up using the up arrow because it is right next to the page down. A small thing, but I think it will get annoying. The Dell only has two usb ports, and I prefer three. The speakers are on the underneath side of the keyboard and they do sound muffled sometimes. I read several reviews complaining about the inability to see the letters on the keyboard. I thought it would not be an issue as I know the qwerty keyboard quite well. Well, it is a pain. On the plus side, the Dell is lightweight, and functions well otherwise. It's a good 17" laptop -- which is becoming increasingly more difficult to find -- but I will go back to HP next time I need a laptop.

I work from home so I really need a good laptop and this seems exceptional. The display is beautiful, it’s very fast and the battery seems to last forever which I Love because I can get comfortable and sit anywhere in the house to do my work. I’m so happy with this laptop.

I’ve had this about a month and so far, so good. Set up was a breeze. Start up is really fast. The finger print sign in feature is really convenient. The common complaint of the keyboard is true, but not a huge deal to me. You can always add an external keyboard. I wish it had more USB ports and a Ethernet Jack. I love the big screen and it’s still light weight.
