I was split between getting this or an HP Spectre x360. Going back and forth between the two in the store I ended up getting this one.
It's fairly quick and I've had no issues with multitasking so far. The battery lasts quite a while if you have it set to conserve. It is quite huge but it makes the touch screen very accessible.
This was my first touch screen laptop / 2 in 1 and I was blown away by the capabilities in even regular apps like Word and Powerpoint.
Navigating around via touch screen is amazing.
Using Whiteboard to map out ideas or draw things out is a huge plus for me.
It also has a manual slide to cover the webcam when it isn't in use which is comforting.
Cons
- The number pad is a bit crowded. I looked at my old HP Envy and while it was a 15" it had a comfortable number pad.
- The directional arrows are a bit crowded as well. 'Page Up' and 'Page Down' are above the left and right arrow keys. Though as I use the computer more they may work out nicely in some way.
- Active Stylus do not work. As it did not come with one, I looked around online. Most Dells are compatible with their active stylus pens, but for whatever reason this one does not.
I did happen to have a regular touch stylus I bought a while ago. It still works well and is fairly accurate.

Bright, Fast and Light for a 17” Laptop

This laptop replaced an older 17” laptop. This is much lighter than my other one. The display is very clear and bright. I like the 2-in-1 feature, lighted keyboard, integrated web cam, connectivity options, sleek lines and case. Initial setup is VERY easy and guided by the system. I use the 10-key section all the time. These number keys are spaced a little closer than my other laptop — feels a little more crowded but I am adjusting.

Fast performance, backlit keyboard and 2 n 1 screen with brilliant graphics. It boots quickly and performs all my apps effortlessly.
Separately purchased an inexpensive Thunderbolt 4 utility port that dramatically increased access to more storage capacity. The only drawback is the keypad/mouse. The left and right click "buttons" on the pad feel clunky. Probably should add a wireless mouse.

Best screen and build quality of any Inspiron I have ever seen from Dell. I have looked long and hard for a 17" touch 2-in-1 that has more than FHD, and this one does it with QHD+ and a discrete graphics to boot! Having great fun gaming on this 11th gen processor and a Thunderbolt 3 RTX3070 - great combination and amazing!

Beautiful display and very well built! I got this for my husband for his birthday and now I want one for myself. My husband is happy for the large screen (17”) and lighted keyboard. We haven’t used it in tablet form yet but the fact you can fold it back is a plus. It has great sound quality and loads super fast.

Love this laptop more than I thought I would. I'm a bookkeeper and had some concerns at how small the 10-key was, but I adapted. Love the screen quality and touch screen feature. Its incredibly fast. Keys are easy to type on. Kinda with the backspace which I use a lot wasn't so close the the num lock but oh well. Its not heavy, great for work.

I loved the laptop. That staff was extremely helpful. I was being really picky and got the 17inch first, then days later thought I bought the 17inch over priced. I swapped it for a Lenovo and then eventually settled on the 15 inch with the price difference going towards a 24 inch TV. The best laptop I have ever owned.

I love my new computer. The large screen is great for photo editing, the light up keyboard is an added bonus for nighttime use. It is quick to start up, quiet, good battery life, sturdy, and overall a great product. I am super happy with my purchase!

My second Dell. The first one lasted 8 years with no problems of any kind.
This one is lighter, quicker and more user friendly. Took a bit of time to get used to the keypad, as the keys are difficult to see, with the light colors. The brilliant oversized screen is a big plus.
Looking for a long relationship the my new Dell Inspiron 7000.

Just getting started with this, but I'm very happy so far. It's fast, light, works well, beautiful screen.
A few key points:
1. The keyboard has silver backlit keys. The backlighting is not very bright, so the end result is the letters and numbers on the keys are washed out and hard to read. Looking for a way to turn off backlighting - that should help.
2. This is advertised as a 2-in-1. You *can* in fact fold it around completely and use it as a tablet. However, it resisted me at first; it felt like it would not fold back beyond a certain point. I thought I'd gotten the wrong unit, but when I gently pushed, sure enough it wrapped around. Be careful, but don't be afraid!
3. There's no Ethernet port! I wanted to connect my new PC to my old to transfer files; that's when I discovered this. Turns out I've rarely needed one, so it's not a big deal. I just thought I'd point out the absence of something I've taken for granted for *decades.*
4. A prior reviewer said there was only one USB port. That's incorrect, there are two.

Very easy to use. Sometime the finger scanner doesn't always work accurately, but having another password such as a pin makes it easy to unlock if there is a read error.
For those who like bigger screens, highly recommend. The overall weight is not too heavy either

PC is Great Overall. Win 11 Sucks

PC is awesome overall. i7 is fast
Backlite keyboard is nice,
Screen is crisp.
Cons:
I bought 1 for me with Win11 and a 15 for the wife with Win10.
Win 11 Sucks. Everything required more clicks to obtain. Basic features are not available. I have tried everything under the internet to get filesharing to work. Nope.
Win 10 machine shares files with my old Win 7 machine just fine. Win 11 machine will not. Seriously though nothing about win11 requires less clicks that before.
Also I dont like that Charging port is on the left.

PC crashed after 3 days

Guess I will start with the good stuff that worked for 3 days. The computer is fast, has a nice screen, great battery life, and it's lite for a 17.3in.
The computer gave the BSOD during yhe initial setup. After a reboot it started up. Then one dayblater while installing software and Windows Updates it crashed again and would not boot in to Windows. I tried to restore the PC back to factory settings and that failed. Now the hard drive is not beeing seen. Tried to restore the PC again and it will not complete the reimage.

I purchased this product for business purposes. I looked at this product numerous times and the sleek design kept me coming back to it along with the price point. Although, I was looking at the HP Envy, this product had more memory and it is great for everything (music, video, games, etc). I mostly just use programs for my business and have not really gotten to know the product as well I should have by now; but so far, it has been reliable, fast, I love the touch screen, great graphics quality, and lightweight for travel purposes.
I am still getting used to the extra space to the left of the touch pad only because I was using a 15in HP Pavilion series (1o years old), so that is an adjustment and I still have some learning to do about the options this product offers. I am very happy with my purchase. I only wish there were more ports, BUT almost all the laptops I looked at only had 1-3, so I am very happy with my first Dell Computer as of right now,

Terrific replacement of i5 laptop. Quiet and fast. Really nice screen. and 16GB or RAM is key over 8, especially if you multitask a lot. Windows 11 is pretty bloated and makes things run more slowly if you don't have the extra RAM

I've had this laptop for 2 years and a half and it runs all the programs needed. I don't think I will buy another one till I graduate college. I do use a lot of programs and that could be a reason it shuts down (not often)

Love this laptop. Fast i7 processor, light weight, and SSD drive. The display also flips so that it can be used as a tablet. My Dell - Inspiron also had a Dell Active Support pen that work well with the touch screen. It also has a built in place to store and charge the pen.

A 17 inch laptop is always a pleasure to work with. i7, 16 GB RAM and SSD provide goo performance that was very difficult to have in a mobile computer. When you don't want or need a second monitor, this is the perfect choice.

Machine is a dream for my purposes. Best Buy price stacked up well against other sellers. Website had accurate information on which local Atlanta-area stores had in inventory. The fact that my local store had in stock was my key decision factor as to when I bought.
The laptop is quite feature rich. The display resolution is superb, the processing speed is extremely good, the RAM/Optane combination keeps things fast, the SSD drive is speedy and the capacity is very good. All in all suits my needs for years to come.
