My Review of my recent purchase at Best Buy

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Everyone was very helpful but I truly regret buying this laptop as I didn't have an opportunity to try it out before I purchased it and had all my other info from my other two laptops transferred to it. It's very hard to see the keys on this Dell laptop as the letters and numbers are very faint and the keys are silver. In addition, the battery runs out very quickly for a new laptop.

We apologize that you were unable to try it out before and for any trouble you are having with your keyboard legibility and battery runtime. Your feedback is incredibly valuable as we build current and future products. To help with the keyboard lighting issue we suggest disabling the backlit keyboard when you are in lit areas. Below I have provided the steps to disable the backlighting and the full article link.
Backlit keyboard options in BIOS
1. Click the + sign next to System Configuration.
2. Click Keyboard Illumination.
3.* Disabled or Off - The keyboard illumination is off.
*Dim - The keyboard illumination is at half brightness.
*Bright - The keyboard illumination is at full brightness.
4. Click Apply, and then Exit.

Completely Disappointed, think I got a lemon

Owned for 3 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had such high expectations with this DELL, as I have owned several DELL laptops in the past, but this is been a total letdown, I was excited to start working with this laptop but I have already had to call Total Tech Support 7 times in the first few months. - Ongoing issues: 1- LAG LAG LAG, after the 1st week or so the computer started lagging when I typed, in several different places within the computer & online. Every call to TTS seems to help for a small amount of time (like a day) and the issue comes back. I do a BIOS search/update every day to optimize.. I shouldn't have to do that with a brand new machine. 2- The picture editor freezes and "sticks" after I edit 3 or 4 pictures every time I use it. Every, Single, Time... Since I rely on the picture editor for work this is BAD.. totally frustrated 3- Freezes after sleep mode. When the machine wakes up the screen is frozen for sometimes up to a minute. This started about 3 or 4 weeks ago & already had to call TTS for this issue twice. (Getting ready to call again this a.m.) 4- Sometimes I have to click the mouse 2 or 3 times when clicking on a link before it works, and this happens on different pages, different sites, and TTS has told me it's not a mouse issue Design Issues: 1- The backlit keyboard is terrible, I have seen this feedback given & have turned it off, so it's not a problem any more, but what a design failure. 2- The "page up" & "page down" buttons are half the size & share space with the left arrow & right arrow buttons which are also half the size. Of all the laptops I've owned this is the first time I have seen this design on the keyboard, and it is SO frustrating, complete design failure Advanced Features: Haven't had a chance to explore, having a home based business my time is limited with learning new things this machine has to offer, but I spend that time on the phone w/ Total Tech Support, as I am getting ready to make my 8th call to them this morning.... I think I got a lemon.. If I could return it I would

1. Restart your computer regularly
2. Run the automated tools provided in the SupportAssist tool
3. Run a complete hardware diagnostic test
4. Scan your computer for malware
5. Restore your Dell computer using Windows System Restore
6. Reinstall Microsoft Windows

Great Product
