Because I have been unable to get files transferred from my old computer to the new one. When I bought the computer, I was told at Best Buy that I could drop off both computers in the morning and pick up in the evening with the data all transferred. AFTER I picked the new computer up, the story changed. I would have to leave both old and new computers with the Geek Squad for A WEEK!! I need a computer to to my job and cannot go a week with no computer. The salesperson lied to me if one week is standard, and why should it take a week to do the transfer when the last time I bought a new computer from Best Buy (4 years ago), the transfer was done in a day? When I complained, a manager told me he would see to it the transfer was done over a weekend if I waited until mid-January, but when I went back to arrange it, that manager wasn't around and I was again told "one week" despite his promise. I'm DISGUSTED.

It overheats when doing some simple tasks that my boyfriend’s $500 Dell does not do and the battery lasts about 2.5 hours. All I’m doing is work from home. So that’s a bit frustrating after spending $1500 on a laptop.

Thank you for your feedback and review. We're glad to learn that you like your laptop. We can understand your frustration with the battery runtime and overheating. Below are steps that can help with overheating and maximizing the battery runtime.
1. Dell does not recommend placing portable systems directly on your lap. Due to reductions in the thickness of modern portable systems, heat transfer can be an issue.
2. Using a portable system (Laptop) on a hard, flat, non-cloth surface will increase airflow and reduce heat from underneath and inside the system.
Using the portable system on a blanket, pillow, or other types of cloth will cover up the fan cause the computer to overheat and can cause permanent damage.
3. It is recommended to use the portable system in a Room temperature of 0°C to 35°C (32°F to 95°F) with a Humidity level no greater than 90%.
4. Use compressed air to clean the vents on a regular basis.
5. Using a cooling pad can decrease heat and increase performance.
6. If you want to know the temperature limitations for your system, go to the Dell Support Website, look up your system model then open the user guide under the manuals link.
7. One option to help with the overheating concern is to update the BIOS. There was a new update released for this series. You may download the update here: https://dell.to/36EXKH3.
