I use this machine to play Elite Dangerous and haven't found any issues with it yet. It works flawlessly. I didn't know much about the Ryzen processors but it hasn't let me down. I am however and maybe to my own fault having troubles locating RAM upgrades that are reasonable. No fault to the machine however.

This Ryzen in this machine is a Intel killer, and will continue to do so for many years as a CPU. And they cost less money than the overpriced high end intel.

Fantastic purchase thus far. While the fan doesn't get too loud when gaming, I have noticed what I believe is a coil whine when switching through multiple tabs in my browser. May be something to consider if your work space is very quiet or one is sensitive to sounds.

I use this for work running two 34" Dell displays and huge PDFs and Excel spreadsheets all day. It can handle everything I throw at it. Great unit, boots up fast and runs quiet and nowhere near as hot as the alien ware I had before it.

This commuter strikes the perfect balance of value and performance in my opinion, I work on computers for living and do play games a lot, while this is not a super hardcore machine but it will make 95% of people very very happy.

AMD Ryzen 7 is the way to go for gaming PC's since it runs cooler than any Intel processor. This PC is lightning fast out-of-the-box and looks wicked thanks to the internal blue lighting.

I’m a Mac user typically, but my wife got this for gaming and I had to have one for myself. Quite operation, runs all games at high end graphics and I enjoy watching movies on it as well.

I had lusted after this computer for several months before finally deciding to purchase. I had to order it because this model with the ssd drive was not stocked. I ordered on 11/25/17 and picked it up on the afternoon of 12/2/17. I worked all that night installing my programs and installing my printers. Everything was going pretty well without too many problems except every so often the computer would become unresponsive and I would have to reboot. I thought that should not happen with a computer this powerful. The next morning I started copying some of my data files. Once again, it would become unresponsive and I would have to reboot. It seemed like everything I tried to do was a struggle. The last time I had to reboot the computer it would not finish rebooting so was basically dead in the water. Pretty sad, did not work for even a full 24 hours. I then boxed it up and returned to Best Buy. Luckily, I purchased the Geek Squad plan so it was no problem. The Geek Squad looked at it and had no idea why this would happen. All the diagnostics game back saying there was no problems found which was odd since it would not finish rebooting. In my almost 70 years I have had many computers and out of all of them this computer was by far the worst experience I have ever had. Maybe I just got a lemon, I don't know what was going on with it but it sure cured me from wanting a new computer any time soon. Thank goodness all I lost was my time and energy in trying to get it set up. I am relieved that almost everything was still on my old computer and I only had to re-install the printers that I deleted. I only lost a very few files that I had deleted from my flash drive after copying to new computer. They were not significant so was very happy about that. Thanks to the Geek Squad for trying to solve the problem but they were scratching their heads on this one. They were going to have to restore it to factory condition so it would boot and they could try and figure out what the problem was. They said it as probably software related which says to me Windows 10. Note to everyone, while the Geek Squad Protection Plan is pricey it is well worth it. Have had the plan on every computer I have purchased from Best Buy and it has paid off for me every time.

The quality of these machines seems to be hit and miss. My GF got one and it has been great. I got one and returned it a day later as it was incredibly noisy and kept freezing up. It made 3 noises; a constant whirling noise, a loud clicking sound as if someone was flipping a circuit breaker on and off, and an electronic scratching sound. I am pretty sure the first was the GPU fan, the 2nd had something to do with the processor as the computer froze up for a moment when it made it (which was about every 90 seconds), and I have no idea what the third one was.
I visited another store which had several of these set up and some of them seemed to be running perfectly while one of them was making a lot of noise.
I would only recommend this machine to someone who lived near a Best Buy that had several in stock so they could easily exchange them should they get a bad one.

Hi IndyGamer,
Thanks for your review and we're sorry to hear about the problems that your computer has been having. If you experience noises with your new computer we'd recommend the following tips: Here are some tips to help with fan noise -
A: Cleaning the Vents 1. Check the vents on the computer to see if they are covered with dust and not allowing heat and air to pass through. 2. Turn off the system. 3. Remove all power sources: Unplug the AC adapter and remove the battery, or unplug the desktop power Cord. 4. Use a compressed air can to blow the dust out of the vents. Be sure to hold the can at an upright angle (near 90 degrees), and hold it 15-20 centimeters (6-8 inches) away from the vent.
B: Update the BIOS: An out-of-date BIOS can cause loud fan noises by having an outdated temperature table for the system. Refer to update BIOS and follow the instructions to update the BIOS on your computer.
