    disappointing resolution

    I am very disappointed that the resolution is not much better than my analogue screen. It is supposed to be high resolution and is not. And it certainly wasn't the cheap model.

We'd suggest looking into the Adaptive Screen Brightness settings: Windows can adjust the brightness of the display based on how much light is reaching the system's ambient light sensor. This feature is referred to as 'adaptive brightness' and it can be disabled in Windows. Here are some steps to adjust this feature:
      1. In the Search box, type Settings.
      2. Touch or click Settings (Modern application).
      3. Touch or click System.
      4. On the Display screen find the Adjust my screen brightness automatically option.
      5. Touch or click the slider to toggle the option on or off.
      6. Touch or click Apply.
      7. Close the System window.

    It's hard to judge monitors in-store at Best Buy since they show video content from the TV dept rather than actual computer content. For black text on a white background there's a red tint to the left of text and blue tint to the right. I suspect this reflects the layout of the pixels. I took this back and got a higher res Dell U2518 that was 3x the cost but I'm overall still much happier with it.

    this dell monitor did not even have a built in speakers. My sales guy did not even mention anything about it.

    Screen randomly turns off, do not buy

    I bought 2 of these. One of them would randomly turn off for a few seconds. I tried everything, and researched how to fix this. There isn't a fix. The monitor is faulty. Many others have the same problem with this monitor, and others from Dell. I wont be buying any more monitors from Dell.

    HDMI Port keeps failing

    This is connected to a MacBook Pro via a min-displayport-to-HDMI cable and have gone through 2 cables already. It only works for a month before the cable fails. I'm going to try a VGA cable instead.

    Broke within 5 months

    I purchased this item and the screen went out within 5 months, i wouldnt recommend. It shouldnt stop working within 5 months. I attempted to return it to best buy for a refund/store credit.

    Conflict with AMD video driver default resolution settings. Had to uninstall driver and use windows default for the monitor to make it work.
