Sorry, couldn't resist the title pun, but seeing is believing and the Dell 24" S2421NX has numerous features that makes it easy on the eyes,a pleasure to use, and all without breaking the bank (which is the point.) Summary: Short on extras (like multiple inputs), but big on visual appeal (16.7 million colors), this monitor is a great second monitor for working at home or a first monitor for casual folks on a budget. More: My wife is the practical one and wanted a second monitor but didn’t to spend a lot. This fits the bill. With AMD FreeSync Technology, a refresh rate of 75 Hz, and a decent 4ms response time you might think this is tailor made for the casual (emphasis casual) gamer but with the vibrant colors typical of IPS monitors it is great for watching YouTube and Netflix as well. And sure all that means it handles the office well with no eyestrain after a long day. The monitor behave like much more expensive brethren. So why the relatively low price? Well, 1080 p for one thing, it's not 4k (which is at least twice the price). But text still looked crisp to me. Sure, if I squinted and looked close, I could tell it wasn't ultra-hi resolution. But, This does limit how much text you can comfortably read in a window, and balances well with the 24" diagonal size. Also on the cost saving side, it has all the inputs you could want, if all you want is HDMI 1.4. It has two of those, nothing else. Ergonomics wise, it has a solid stand and monitor, thin bezels, but it simply tilts forward or back, not side to side and not at a 90 degree angle (portrait versus landscape, but it can be VESA mounted in portrait mode). It has some thoughtful features like a cable management slot, security-lock slot and option for the VESA mount. Two speakers, and audio line out port though I was bummed that it did not support my headphones. Bottom line, solid monitor for the price. I tested in on a PC (Lenovo thinkpad), Apple MacBook Pro, and iPad. Worked fine with all, no connection issues,, but to be fair, not sure if there was a use case for the iPad. Thats more a ding on the iPad which only does mirroring, but it was the only time I was aware of the resolution compromises. The retinue screen on the iPad is amazing. But my wife uses it every day all day on her thinkpad, work and you tube, and loves it.

With my wife now working from home too, we needed an extra monitor. This monitor does a great job. The picture quality is great. The viewing angle is much better than the two monitors that I have. I like the clean look with no bezel. Settings are easy to adjust using the buttons on the bottom of the monitor (I have a different monitor where the buttons aren’t really buttons and are hard to press accurately). This monitor connected easily to both my wife’s and my docking stations. The Dual inputs are great. I sometimes connect my personal laptop to my work setup so I can use a larger screen, so having the dual input is great to quickly connect my laptop into the monitor with a separate HDMI cable. Setup was easy and doesn’t require tools, which is a nice touch. My one complaint is that it would be nice if you could adjust the height of the monitor. For me, I had to put it up on some books. My wife didn’t need to prop it up as she’s a little shorter. If the monitor was height adjustable, I would have given it 5 stars.

Reputable brand Dell has a great monitor for anyone looking to have a comfortable viewing experience. I think 24 inches is the sweet spot for most people looking for a well priced monitor. At full HD 1920x1080 resolution, it is great for all videos and gaming. The IPS panel also helps for those looking for accurate color representation in media. Having 2 hdmi ports helps to move from different inputs. Great for anyone working from home.

This is a great size monitor for my small home office desk. It was a huge upgrade from my previous 19-inch hand-me-down monitor, though. My eyes are still adjusting to the wide screen. The setup was a breeze - pretty standard for these monitors but the manual was easy to follow. For my laptop to recognize this monitor was a bit wonky, though. First, it connected to the audio, even though this model doesn't have a built-in speaker. Second, the monitor didn't fully extend from one side to another. I wanted to adjust my laptop resolution but come to find out that option has been defunct on MS Windows for a while now, so I had to go through the Intel Graphics Command Center to adjust it to the recommended resolution. Obviously, it's not a Dell issue, but just in case someone else runs into the same problem. Overall, I'm very pleased with Dell S2421NX monitor and I highly recommend it.

It came in broken I connect to my pc turn it on and it’s broken. Can I get a new one ? Or?

Great monitor for the price. Easy to assemble, adjustable and beautiful screen.

This Dell monitor hit a sweet spot on the screen size at 24" that comes with an HDMI cable included. With two HDMI inputs you can have multiple devices hooked up. The base is sturdy and does not take up much room on the desk. Keep in mind that the only inputs are HDMI. With that said you have a simple one wire set up for all devices that use HDMI. The scree it self is beautiful and clear. colors render naturally with great detail. The bezel is very slim on the sides and the top with the bottom thicker where the bottoms are. I was very surprised at the picture qualify of the Dell S2421NX and I would highly recommend it.

Purchased for more viewing real estate for my personal laptop and it's perfect, clear and set up was easy. I have multiple window space to run more apps side by side.

perfect monitor for working at home! i had been just using my tiny macbook and it was such a headache and this was just what i needed. no frills just extra screen space. insanely easy to set up took me maybe 45 seconds total. insane quality too. can’t recommend enough!

Nice monitor very clear picture. Button use and placement is easy and simple. Even came with necessary HDMI cable for hookup. Just wish it had speakers built in.

Really pleased with this monitor for work and home use. It was easy to set up and compact for the size. The monitor has vibrant color and clear, crisp text as well as a great for watching movies and videos. Also, the adjustment buttons are easy to access and adjust which allows changing the brightness for your eyes. I took one star off because the item was not packaged well by the seller, it was delivered in the box like you would take home from a store off the shelf with no boxed protection otherwise.

Great so far! Using a VESA monitor arm instead of the stand it came with and its a wonderful secondary monitor. Would also be good as a primary if gaming is not a concern (only because of the refresh rate) otherwise wonderful! Definitely buy on a sale though if you can since they do go on sale often.

I bought this to use as a double monitor setup with my laptop at home. It is a great monitor that adjusts height and tilt so i can have it line up with my laptop screen pretty well. Great display amd easy to use. Definitely recommend

I love this monitor! It is a good size and picture is clear. I use it as the second monitor to my lap top since I started working from home. Plus the price made this a no-brainer purchase. Some reviewers noted that it doesn't have speakers, but that's not needed for my purposes.

Needed an extra monitor for on-line classes. I do a lot of on-line courses and wanted to be able to work along with my instructors as they were screen-sharing via web chat (MS Teams, Zoom, ect.). The monitor was very easy to install, in my case just plugged into laptop via HDMI cable (included). Screen quality is great and has not lagged for my uses. Colors are vivid and screen brightness is very good. Haven't tried it with gaming or a lot of video playback, it is not as sharp as a high-end gaming monitor but that was not my purpose for purchasing this monitor. I have used it with Youtube and did not notice any lag or rendering issues. This is a great basic monitor for the price.

Great for home, personal use. I use it in my home office. Easy to find and use buttons on the underside help to turn it on and off and adjust various settings. Nice, clear picture every time.

Got this monitor to replace an old Dell that had failed. Very easy to set up an install. Excellent color and contrast. Very good price point. Would definitely buy another one
