I am using mine as a vertical secondary monitor and it's fantastic. It has all of the right features like IPS panel technology and VESA mounting holes. Would highly recommend.

Nice crisp display, nice design & overall appearance with a premium feel & look. Tilting screen allows for reduction of any possible reflections.

Great quality screen, very light, and thin. Seems a little flimsy on the stand so just be cautious of where you put it and make sure it is stable.

I’ve just added to my desktop viewing acreage. It’s an expanse of useful, colorful, detailed image and text that is proving itself to be very useful. SETUP: Slide the vertical upright stand into the base, and then the monitor onto that assembly. It couldn’t be easier. Bring an HDMI cable between either of the 2 monitor HDMI ports to your computer or other source device. Again, not complicated. There’s a 100x100 VESA layout for mounting on various desk or floor stands which is easily concealed by an included cover for a sleek look. Under the bezel edge, on the right side are 4 control buttons and a power button. From left to right is a shortcut button to preset COLOR modes, a shortcut button to cycle through INPUTs, A MENU button for the On Screen Display Menu, and EXIT button to exit the OSD, and finally the POWER button. The On Screen Display gives the user fairly comprehensive control over screen brightness, contrast, color, presets for movies, first-person shooter games, real time strategy games, role-playing games, warm, cool, and custom settings. And the menu goes on. There are response time controls. There’s even a built-in diagnostics tool that’s engaged. You’ll want to explore in the manual how to use it. PERFORMANCE: The S2721NX offers IPS display technology, 1920 x1080 HD resolution and an anti-glare coating. It certainly survived my awful location, with a full window over my shoulder. The contrast was also sufficiently high to allow for detailed photo work on my (MAC) computer. Everything about the Dell underscores comfort: FreeSync refresh rate, no flicker out of the corner of my eye, and reduced blue emissions. For gaming there are the aforementioned settings that address response times and resolution appropriate for different types of games. There was decent coverage of the HD color gamut and the viewing angle was perfect for my purpose. I like the range of tilt (5 degrees forward, 21 degrees backwards). My screen had no evidence of light bleed along the edges, an important issue when viewing dark images in a somewhat darkened room. The simple design disappears and you aren’t aware of the monitor at all. Your work seems to float out in front of you. DELL would probably love you to match this up with any of their great computers, but it works perfectly with anything. I can recommend it.
