This 27" Dell monitor seems to be a near-exact match to the one we got in 2021. Extremely responsive playing a couple Steam games so far. Very good color and contrast with no blur to my or my son's eyes. Very sharp and clear for browsing and MS Office documents as well. Not too many stand adjustments other than tilt (some other displays have rotate, raise, etc). But I knew that before I received it and the height is just fine of my needs. Only 1080p max resolution, but I knew that as well. Good viewing from relatively wide angles. Quick and easy to hook up to HDMI. Awesome for our use as a side-by-side dual monitor setup with that older one. You'll like it as much as we do!

This is a great monitor! It's not the highest resolution I've ever seen so for super detailed design or art work this is likely not a fit. I have it installed as part of a 3 monitor setup I use for gaming and for work. I've tested it as my primary monitor and as a secondary and it works admirably in both applications. The refresh rate is very nice when used for gaming. The setup is easy to do and very quick. Monitor is very light and easy to move around. The ways in which you can adjust the angle and height could be improved however. It's still got enough flexibility to be adjusted where you need it. Comes with all the cables you need so no need to buy an extra HDMI or anything. This monitor comes with a pretty robust amount of picture settings to play around with as well to improve and customize the way you like the image to appear. All in all, great product as long as you aren't looking for crazy high resolution. Simple setup and simple to use. Very plug and play no matter what your desk looks like.

    Well Performing Casual Use Monitor

The Dell S2721NX is a solid monitor for the casual home setup. For work, personal use, or casual gaming. The monitor is a sleek design with minimal space along the vertical and upper horizontal border. The stand does not take up a large amount of desk space either; with ability to swivel arm mount if desired. The video-in option is HDMIx2, which in this current age is acceptable. Some graphics cards, if running multiple monitors this could be limiting. The dual HDMI port allows for easy switching between two devices. The 27" display is a fantastic size for everyday use. Not overpowering but still easily viewable from a desk chair. Display is crisp with the 1920 x 1080 resolution. There are greater resolutions out on the market now, but this is still perfect for watching videos or working. I have been able to have this monitor set up at my office desk and use it quite efficiently. I have 1 HDMI connected to my desktop and the other available to connect my work laptop. I use it as a second screen with my work laptop to allow for more efficient back and forth, very pleased with the overall use. My wife too, came in one evening and mentioned how sleek the monitor looked, so it passed the aesthetic test. As a side note I had mentioned casual gaming. This is because with the crisp display and beautiful colors of this monitor one is able to effectively game. However, 1920 x 1080 resolution with 75Hz refresh rate may be limiting. The graphic capability along with design of the most intricate games currently would be throttled in display capability based upon these settings. Given this, more intense gamers would prefer a higher refresh rate along with better overall resolution. This in no way is a deal breaker, but is a consideration.

The Dell S2721NX 27" monitor offers FHD (1920x1080) display and when I connected it to my laptop via HDMI, the picture is sharp and crisp. The AMD FreeSync means you should get better picture with compatible graphics cards but this is not an ideal gaming monitor. So don't let the FreeSync confuse you into thinking you should buy this as a gaming monitor. The S2721NX has some compromises like a 4 m/s response time and HDMI only input. Although there are 2 HDMI ports, I really wish Dell had included 1 HDMI and 1 Display Port - as the latter tends to give you better results regardless of how you plan to use it. The 4 m/s response time and 75mhz refresh rate is perfect for business use and would suffice for gaming, but if your primary use is gaming you would want a faster response time and higher refresh rate. It's a compromise that's OK for business, but worth knowing if you're looking to use it non-work purposes. Don't take any of this as a criticism. The S2721NX looks for work use, watching YouTube, or Netflix but note the monitor does not have speakers. The on screen controls are some of the most intuitive I have used, and I love that Dell includes a blue light filter option in the menus. Also great is that it has a VESA mount. FYI, the included stand is not a VESA stand and mounts via a proprietary connector but the stand can be removed (there's a pin hole release button that you can use a paperclip with to remove the stand). I also love that the power supply doesn't require a brick or proprietary plug, always a plus. Overall, the S2721NX is a good monitor for office/study/work use, can stretch to gaming on a casual basis, but remember it's HDMI only. If you think you will spend an equal time working in gaming, you may be better buying a monitor that is more weighted towards gaming. I'm torn between a 4 on this review and I really feel like it's a 3.5, so giving it a 4 because I think this is a good monitor and the VESA port makes it stand above other comparable business monitors. You would be surprised, but some business monitors don't have VESA support. Just compare the response time and refresh rate should you be comparing this to an alternative model or monitor. PS. I am just putting this here as not sure if it's an issue just for me, but my USB C to HDMI cable wouldn't work with the monitor. I've never had this issue before. But in good news, Dell include a HDMI cable in the box, so it wasn't a deal breaker and doesn't change my review because it could be any of half a dozen reasons (cable issues, driver, etc).

This is a great monitor, the cost is nominal, and the performance/resolution/picture is excellent, I have used Dell products for a very long time now, and I am always more than satisfied with my purchase, the only non-Dell electronics I have in my office is my printer.

This monitor has a very sleek and minimalistic design to it. Its thin bevel is perfect if you want to set it up with another monitor for a more seamless look. You can set it up to your standards with its great display adjustability. It is great for work stuff and I can also use it when I am gaming. You can easily adjust the settings to accommodate your needs. I love the Free Sync refresh rate and that it reduces the blue light emissions. Although it isn't a 4K monitor, this Dell has a pretty good refresh rate. It can only be tilted as the height can be adjusted and it can't be turned. This can easily be remedied by purchasing a swivel arm. Other than that, the monitor is perfect. It’s also fairly light weight and takes less than a minute to be assembled. It not only looks perfect for my office but works great. The color range is amazing and the images look breathtaking. This Dell 27" provides a wide view. Although I would prefer if the HDMI cable was longer. Overall, I am highly satisfied with this monitor and would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking to purchase this size of a monitor.

    Good all-around 27" monitor

The Dell S2721NX 27" monitor is a good all-around monitor. It's got plenty of size at 27", though it's 1080p resolution (FHD) is about the maximum I would consider for a 27" monitor--this is the point at which I start to think about QHD or even UHD, though those tend to rapidly increase the price point. Images still do look bright and crisp though, even with the default brightness set at 75%. Its specs say it's rated to 300 nits, and while I don't have calibration tools to judge that, I do think that's probably about right when comparing it to the very bright screen of the Dell XPS 15 laptop I connected this to. It's quite sufficient for well-lit rooms. While not a "gaming monitor" per se, the higher than typical refresh rate--75Hz instead of 60--is a nice touch (and not just for gaming), as is the inclusion of AMD's FreeSync technology that reduces screen tearing. How much you can use FreeSync might depend on your graphics output--obviously AMD GPUs and mobile processors with graphics will be fine, but your mileage may vary with Nvidia's GPUs; personally I've not got them to work with FreeSync though I believe you're supposed to have some limited benefit. Aesthetically it's a nice looking monitor, with very narrow bezels around the top and sides, with the lower bezel being thicker. The power button and control buttons for menu navigation are tucked under the right side of the lower bezel. The back has a nice textured feel to it, and there are VESA mounting options as well. The back panel is straightforward and consumer-oriented with two HDMI ports and power--no DisplayPort, USB Type C, or legacy VGA ports here. Setup is a breeze out of the box--the whole monitor can up and running in no more than five minutes really. The adjustable base connects via a thumbscrew to the support column which in turn easily plugs into the rear of the monitor. Overall, this a good monitor for those want something with a lot of size that has a fair amount of versatility for multiple uses. I've used Dell monitors at home and work for a long time and have always liked them, and this seems like another solid entry.

Review for Dell - S2721NX 27" IPS LED FHD - AMD FreeSync - VESA - Monitor (HDMI) I found this monitor to be easy to set up. It’s well-packaged without using too much styrofoam and other unnecessary cushioning. The instructions for unpacking and assembly go hand in hand, making it easy to pick up the monitor from the box after you’ve attached the stand. The illustrations are clear and straightforward, although I’ve noticed a trend toward smaller and smaller print on these types of instructions, which is not welcome to older eyes! No tools are required and it snaps solidly together. Unlike many monitors of late, Dell includes an HDMI cable, which I really appreciate. The monitor also allows for an additional HDMI cable if you want to use a different source, such as video, or even connect it to two different computers. The color rendering is excellent and the display is both bright and sharp. I noticed no edge illumination problems. I especially like the easy tilt that allows both up and down adjustments.

So I was not impressed with this monitor. Pros: aesthetically nice, including a thin bezel around the sides and the top. It has a stand. It is Vesa mountable. 2 HDMI ports. It looks fine with office type work, such as MS Office. Plug, power on, play... just that simple (power button is underneath, to the far right). It works. Cons: the stand only does tilt, you can't raise it higher or lower. The video is very average. Maybe because it is only 1080p and I connected it to my more superior laptop. I did it for comparison, so it might not be fair, but, for me, that's what it's up against. The video was clear but dull (when watching videos or anything with color). Simply not vibrant. Video played well though. Other: no audio, but I wasn't expecting that and don't expect it from monitors. But just stating it for your knowledge. It's an average monitor. It is fine for office needs. But if you want video, photos, color, this is not the monitor for you. That is what I would use as the factor on whether to purchase this monotor or not.
