Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this monitor based on great technical specifications, two inputs (HDMI and Display Port), which is very uncommon for such low sale price. Unfortunately, my disappointment started right when I pulled monitor out of the box. There were some loose parts moving inside when I turned monitor from side to side. Before requesting a replacement I decided to check the monitor's image quality. Everything worked fine but the black and white levels were the main issue for me. Black isn't dark enough and white isn't bright enough. I did side-by-side comparison with my other two (same size) monitors, one of which is older model of similar Dell monitor. Both my older monitors had much better black and white levels. Mid-tone levels on this monitor are pretty good. When monitor is off, the panel itself isn't black. It's dark grey and matches the frame color. That is another minor issue. The monitor's title says - Black. The color of this monitor is not black. It's dark grey. Conclusion: If the Black/White levels and other issues I have mentioned are not important for you, I think this monitor is an excellent deal when on sale and will serve most of people well. But not everyone.

No back cover plates

I mean, how much would that cost you guys? 2 cents? This is getting returned tomorrow, I don't want this shady back facing out in my office.
