Screen feels good...large basal less. However, I feel my laptop produces better picture quality than this monitor.
Also,
The AC port in the monitor was loose keeps getting disconnected.
Already returned to store. Now waiting for refund.

Just over a year and I have streaks from the top of the monitor stealing downward. Just got a new desktop and cables did not fix the problem. Very disappointed.

Hi Soniamlvegas,
Thank you very much for your valued feedback. We are sorry to hear that you are not too happy with your Dell 27” IPS monitor because of black streaks which are coming from the top of this monitor. Your monitor has a built-in diagnostic tool that helps you determine if any screen abnormality you experience is an inherent problem with your monitor, or with your computer and video card.
To run the built-in diagnostics:
1. Ensure that the screen is clean (no dust particles on the surface of the screen). 2. Press and hold Button 4 for about 4 seconds until a pop-menu appears. 3. Use Button 1 or Button 2 to select the diagnostic tool and use Button 3 to confirm. A gray test pattern appears at the beginning of the diagnostic program. 4. Carefully inspect the screen for abnormalities. 5. Press Button 1 again to change the test patterns. 6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 to inspect the display in red, green, blue, black, white, and text screens. 7. Press Button 1 to end the diagnostic program.
If you do not detect any screen abnormalities upon using the built-in diagnostic tool, the monitor is functioning properly. Check the video card and computer.
The full article on built-in diagnostics can be found below:
If the issues are still not resolved after applying the troubleshooting tips above, we recommend contacting the Dell Support Team at the information provided below for further guidance.
Best, Katarina@Dell

I bought this monitor on sale for $145 to use in my trailer during COVID for telework. I figured since I didn't have to go to work due to social distancing restrictions I would work from different RV sites in California and Arizona that had good data reception. The silver linings of COVID. I do pray for all those that have suffered or lost loved.
I am not a gamer. However, for work purposes, this is a great sized monitor. I hooked it up to my surface pro. I could side by side Excel, Word or emails without the need for dual monitors. The quality of text on the monitor was great. We also used this monitor to watch movies and the picture was nice and vibrant. Mind you, we are not videophiles.
For the price and my purposes, I would purchase again.

Love My Dell Monitor!

This is a great monitor for the price! I recently compared several brands and models at Best Buy after my old monitor died unexpectedly. Of all the models I considered, I thought the Dell was the best “bang for the buck”. The picture quality is clear and reasonably sharp for a non-4K screen. The stand is very sturdy, and the monitor was easy to assemble. The trim is plastic, and It is rather basic with only one HDMI port, no USB, and no internal speakers. However, it works great for my purposes. Although it is much bigger than my previous 22-inch monitor, it has a narrow bezel and doesn’t take up a huge footprint on my desk. Fortunately, I found the 27-inch monitor on a Black Friday sale for less than a similar Dell 24-inch model. I am satisfied with my purchase and would buy it again.

Great monitor at a great price. I bought this as a replacement for my second monitor when it went out. It was on sale and I could not pass it up. I bought it because the size and price was right, but the quality is also incredible. It is not 4K, but it is still a very good monitor and for what I use it for I do not need 4K so I didn't pay the 4K price tag. If you want a great monitor at a good price, then this monitor is for you.

This monitor is great and affordable. It would be really difficult to find a higher quality monitor. For a non-4K 27" monitor, I'm quite enthralled. Its brightness & contrast are strong, colors are clear, robust and consistent. It comes with a perfect size and an easy installation method. Setting it up couldn't have been easier. I strongly recommend to anyone looking for a gaming or office use monitor.

Dell - 27" IPS LED FHD FreeSync Monitor Review

For the price, it's really hard to beat this monitor.
I use this as my secondary monitor next to a color calibrated 32" Asus PB328Q. I was able to get the colors on this Dell really close to the Asus, which is impressive.
The blacks and whites on this Dell monitor are the only area where it is a little weak. Black's aren't as dark and white's aren't as white, but for my purpose (tools/reference images) it's perfectly acceptable.
Be aware that here is ZERO adjustment to the stand. No swivel or height adjustment. To get it to the correct viewing height for my setup, I have it sitting on a 3" high box. A little annoying but seriously, for the price, it's not a deal breaker.
Overall, I am extremely happy with the monitor. I did a TON of research before buying and couldn't find a better price/performance ratio and so far, it has met all of my expectations.

Great colors and a wide viewing angle make this monitor a great value. The monitor looks a lot more expensive than what it really is and the panel itself reproduces some rich and vibrant colors. Upgraded this monitor from a 23 inch vga and it is a night and day difference!

Needed this for work, reports, presentations, video meetings. It is a great monitor for the price. It is my first monitor this big, so don’t really have anything to compare it to. I like it a lot and it does exactly what is needed. Very clear picture. I would by again.

This dell monitor is really of good quality. The size is really great, can not do small monitors. Very clear viewing from any angle. The colors are nice on the eyes. It only lacks speakers, there no input for speakers. You have to attach speakers to your pc in order to play videos or listen to other things. This is an excellent monitor for the price.

First thing, I thought the value for the price was excellent. I like the matt screen because there is less glare from light hitting it. My old screen had a glossy finish and when the evening sun came through the window and hit the monitor, it was hard to see. Not any more. Two things I wish it had but doesn't, are usb ports and speakers. I had to hook up external speakers and move my wireless mouse port to the tower and take up a port there. I like the size and was limited to how large I could go in my space and this fits perfectly and allows me to split my screen while doing homework. Overall I am very satisfied with this purchase.

The Dell SE2719HR 27" IPS LED FHD FreeSync Monitor is a solid choice for a PC monitor. It features a 27-inch display with an IPS panel, which means you'll get great color accuracy and wide viewing angles. The Full HD resolution ensures sharp and clear visuals.
One of the standout features of this monitor is the FreeSync technology, which helps reduce screen tearing and stuttering during gaming or fast-paced action. It supports both HDMI and VGA connections, giving you flexibility in connecting your devices.
Overall, the Dell SE2719HR offers a good balance of size, image quality, and affordability. It's a great option for everyday use, multimedia, and casual gaming.

I wanted a bigger monitor and this fits the bill. I'm not sure how accurate the colors are as compared to my second monitor, but I do get better shadow detail. I'm not sure if that's because monitor 2 is mounted vertically, or since monitor 2 is much smaller. Either way,I'm happy with my purchase and thought this was a good deal.

Review after 7 days of usage - Nice 27' monitor, using it for work from home needs. Nice big screen with clarity. So far used with MacBook, working well. Eyes did not hurt after using it as of now. Came with HDMI cable. Easy to assemble with provided instructions.
Considering the price Few things i would have liked.
1. Additional HDMI Port, Displayport
2. In built speakers would have been great value addition
2. We cannot extend monitor height. so you might want to keep something under it as per your eye levels. Started giving me some neck pain, will try to adjust the height.
3.Several reviews read that its not VESA mountable, so far didn't felt any need for that. Will update review in future based on that.
4. At times connection gets lost if wire moved or monitor adjusted. It took some time to bring it back. Have taken the connection out and did it again for it to work. I will keep a watch.
Overall nice good looking large monitor!. Recommended in case you are ok with some of above points.

Upgraded from 10 year old HP 23 inch

I was concerned when I initially ordered this unit that full HD resolution on a 27 inch monitor may show a lot of pixelation. Thinking maybe I should have gone QHD or 4K? But I was pleased to see that it looks great including one connection that is VGA which I was more concerned about. The other is HDMI and of course it looks great too. This is being used primarily for office work. Some Recreational browsing too.
One thing about ordering a new monitor is to be sure it has the right connections. There are so many different configurations still being used for monitors. HDMI, DVI, display port, and VGA, so be sure you have what you need in the monitor. This unit has VGA and HDMI . One of each. Also the cables you will require and what you are connecting to are critical. This monitor comes with an HDMI cable but no VGA. So I needed to order one.
You may need special cables too- like connecting a 3 year old Mac book Air which has no HDMI port requires a Mini DisplayPort to HDMI cable...but a similar year MacBook Pro has HDMI ...and a similar year HP elite-book has one HDMI but can also connect using VGA with the HP 2013 adapter - so there are umpteen variations you could need...depending on what the equipment you are connecting has for ports...hope this helps
