Quiet and smooth operation in a sleek, slim size
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Dell Slim Desktop is a nice option for anyone looking for good specs in a smaller desktop package with AI integrated in its Intel Core Ultra processor to optimize productivity and creativity. We utilize this computer at a built-in desk, so it easily fits behind the monitor while utilizing minimal desk space. It is in an area of our home in proximity to the kitchen and family room and operates very quietly and efficiently. Its specs are good with an Intel Core Ultra 7 Series 2 processor, 1 TB SSD, 16 GB RAM and eight total USB (A and C) ports with four located on the front, along with an SD card reader, and audio input jack. Graphics are integrated with Intel UHD Graphics so the extreme gamer is not the customer Dell is targeting here. This PC can support up to four multiple monitors using DisplayPort 1.4 and Daisy Chaining, or connect two 4K displays using an HDMI 2.1 port and DisplayPort 1.4. Dell has provided for upgrade capabilities and ease of access with tool-less entry and a removable side panel. Two memory slots support up to 64GB DDR5 memory should your use require more than the 16GB RAM provided. Even though there is no optical drive one can utilize an external drive if needed. Other upgrades should take any heat and space issues into account given the slim design and power supply being 180 watts. Security features include a TPM security chip (integrated cryptographic keys) and a Kensington built-in lock slot. For those thinking green this Dell Slim Desktop is registered EPEAT Silver with Climate+ and is certified Energy Star, additionally incorporating 43% recycled plastic and 50% recycled steel, along with recycled packaging. I think Dell has made some nice improvements in this Dell Slim Desktop to improve performance and looks over its previous generations of Slim Desktops. For many computer users that are performing work tasks, or at home surfing the web or viewing videos, they should find this to be a nice option, especially if they’re lucky to find a break in pricing.

Fast and Easy Setup
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Dell-Desktop-Intel Core Ultra 7-265-16GB Memory-1TB SSD was easy to setup. Powered it on plugged everything in and the driver's setup within about 10 minutes. This was great to me, as sometimes setting computers up can take quite some time. I then synced my email accounts up and added different profiles that I use for social media. Then started testing how streaming worked on the desktop. Videos ran smoothly, and could hear things clearly using my headset. It appears run videos quite fast, which is nice. Your able to plug in headphones, has ports for USB, Type c, and more. Was able to stream my videos and play games as well. Was able to save files to the desktop and the hard drive. The desktop does not run hot. Has ability to run multiple programs at once. Didn't have any problems with this. Glad it has a Solid State Drive, this really helps since I tend to do a lot with volunteer work, regular job related work, and also record videos. Overall I am pleased with this product. I would recommend this device to people that work at home, need a desktop to do every day tasks, and or like to create standard videos. Thank you for the opportunity to test this product. Greatly appreciated it. Pros: Easy Setup Fast Speed Can Multi-Task with various programs Can play games on the desktop Cons: None so far. Will update review, if I find any.

Big Power in a Small Package
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Dude, you're getting a dell!! I wish they would bring back that slogan.... Anyways, my parent's needed a new desktop at home as theirs was ancient, had Windows 10 (now that is is about to go EOL) and was just slow and still using a spinning disk. This fit the bill for their needs! The specs on this machine are definitely powerful enough for your everyday needs, web browsing, spreadsheets, watching youtube videos... printing some documents. The CPU benchmarks are actually quite impressive for this machine, especially on a multi-core level. 16GB of RAM is plenty, but I am disappointed that upon opening the case, you can not expand the RAM past 16GB, unless you happen to buy a 32GB DIMM from Dell which would cost $300+. One DIMM is meh, but, I get it, the goal is to keep this as static of a config as possible. Same with storage, just 1 nVME spot, no real room to expand even with a small SATA SSD. Bloatware was minimum, boot times are fast, it runs cool, no loud fans. There is ONE issue though... the mouse was DOA, but it wasn't a big deal as we have many mice and use wireless mice, but still, just a little annoying that the mouse didn't work.

Great system for office use / schoolwork
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Given its design and intended purpose, this Dell slim desktop PC with an Intel Core Ultra 7-265 processor, 16GB DDR5 5600 MT/s memory, 1TB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD, and Intel UHD graphics is a great option if you are in need of a dependable desktop PC that is dedicated to office use and/or schoolwork. My business has used slim-sized Dell desktop PC’s like this one for many years now and I have never been disappointed. Fortunately, this current version of the slim Dell desktop PC follows the trend of its predecessors by providing reliable performance without having to pay a lofty price for unnecessary features and gaming-level components. The 1TB SSD provides more than enough storage for our purposes and the integrated Intel UHD graphics provides all the graphical performance we need, even when using multiple monitors which is easily accomplished since the system includes both an HDMI 2.1 port as well as one DisplayPort 1.4 connector. The single stick of 16GB DDR5 memory also provides just the right amount of RAM for our purposes but this can easily be upgraded by purchasing and adding a second stick to the available second slot on the motherboard. Speaking of the motherboard, it is easily accessible via thumbscrews on the back of the unit. Additional upgradeability is somewhat limited but nobody would realistically purchase a system like this with the hopes of adding a more powerful graphics card or anything else you would expect to find in a higher-end system. Other features this particular system includes are Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 6, one gigabit Ethernet port, four USB-A 2.0 ports (2 front, 2 rear), three USB-A 3.2 ports (1 front, 2 rear), and one USB-C 3.2 port (front). Again, this is more than enough for my purposes at the office and I believe would be similarly sufficient for a student in need of a PC purely for schoolwork. Overall, this Dell slim desktop PC with an Intel Core Ultra 7-265 processor, 16GB DDR5 5600 MT/s memory, 1TB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD, and Intel UHD graphics is a great system given its design and intended purpose and I highly recommend it!
