My previous monitor used with a Microsoft Surface Pro just seemed to not be that sharp, and the thinner lines on white colors were not distinguishing themselves. This monitor solved the problem, and I was thankful BestBuy had it in stock at my local store, so I could get it right away!

You cannot use the full monitor resolution, the settings on the Mac don’t exist for this monitor. 45 minutes on the phone with Dell tech support and we couldn’t do better than 1080x900 - which is below what the specs listed for the model.

Here are the recommended steps to troubleshoot your issue:
Turn off both your computer and the monitor.
Unplug the video cable from the back of the computer. To ensure proper Self-Test operation, remove all digital cables (DVI, HDMI or DisplayPort) from the back of the computer.
Turn on the monitor.
Turn off your monitor and reconnect the video cable: then turn on both your computer and the monitor.
If your monitor screen remains blank after you use the previous procedure, check your video card (GPU) and computer, because your monitor is functioning properly.
