    Best Monitor for Business

I love this monitor so freaking much! If your eyes have to land on a computer screen for 12 hours a day, then this the monitor for you. If you want the feel of a 5k retina i would go for the 27" model just because of pixel density but I had a 2k lg gaming monitor 32" so this might as well be 5K rez for me. It can be rotated into portrait mode and my eyes feel 1000x better and I dont have to squint to see really small things in photoshop and after effects like the icons. I could rave about this thing all day! Happiest man in the world. I know OLED 4k are about to be dropping like its hot, but this IPS will not have image burning into the screen and no joke will last for 10 years.

    Almost perfect

This monitor replaced an 27" 5K iMac as my primary work monitor. I needed to move from 2 computers into 1 and ended up getting a MacBook Pro and this monitor to replace an iMac and an older MacBook Pro. I would have preferred to get the 32" Apple monitor but I didn't have $5K to spend so this had to suffice. Still a relatively expensive monitor in my opinion. The good stuff; the screen size and resolution is fine enough for viewing at an arms distance on my desk. It's not quite as revealing as my 5K was, but everything looks good, including fine text, so I don't feel like I took a significant step backward on resolution for every day use. The thing has a TON of built-in ports and they all work great! I use almost all of them to connect my peripherals and devices. You forget how many you need until you get a new computer that doesn't have many ports (Apple) and then you feel relieved that you can plug everything you own into the monitor and the Mac sees it immediately! The bad stuff; the screen is matte and reflects sunlight more than my glossy iMac did. I was surprised by how much more sensitive this screen was by comparison. Definitely something to consider if you use the screen in a room with a lot of ambient light. On cloudy days and other times when the ambient light is low, the screen looks fantastic and is easy on my eyes. I also miss having built-in: mic, camera and speakers. I use my new Mac in clamshell mode and not having these basic audio and video functions on the monitor seems like a miss to me. This is not an el-cheopo monitor. My workaround is using my iPhone as the camera and mic and I plugged a small powered speaker into the line out port which works fine for every day sound but I would have preferred if the monitor had these items built-in so I didn't have to figure out the work-arounds. All in all, I would recommend this monitor. I think the pros outweigh the cons and until a more full-featured one comes along this is probably one of the best 32" monitors in the sub $1K price range.

Pros - very sharp text on MacOS - works well with M1 Pro - no sleep or wake issues as reported in the past - antiglare coating works well, preserves clarity - awesome stand adjustments - tons of ports and cables were included - stand included - $1000 cheaper than apple’s studio display - good enough blacks and uniformity - plain IPS works better than miniLED for work because some have janky lighting algorithms and massive blooming Cons - should have bought this sooner - no speakers - didn’t really notice a difference with IPS Black tech - blacks are good enough but still gray compared to OLED

Dell's UltraSharp 31.5" IPS Black monitor is outstanding! In fact, I like it so much, this is my 2nd purchase as I had a need to setup a 2nd home office space. I've toyed with the idea of setting both up in a daisy chain setup for an even larger extended desktop, but haven't tried yet. Everything about this monitor is top notch - stand/adjustability, brightness, 4K resolution, USB-C Hub/KVM capabilities, 90 watt PD, the list goes on. Works great with everything I've tried: Dell XPS 13, Surface Pro 8, Asus ZenBook 14X OLED, MacBook Pro 14" M1 and iPad Pro - all work flawlessly over USB-C and connect to the keyboard/mouse/ethernet with no issue. You can't go wrong here!

Great 4K Monitor for Mac Studio

I got a Mac Studio and threw an old monitor on it while I spend a couple of months looking at LG, Samsung, ViewSonic, and Dell. I have to say this monitor is perfect! I was concerned about the resolution because my previous PC was a iMac Retina, but I was able to match my configuration, so I am very happy. The stand is very heavy and sturdy and setup was super simple. Plus, as 4K monitors go, this is a great value, especially if you can catch a sale or price match like I did.

After deciding the Apple Studio Display was too expensive, I opted for this high resolution alternative. Granted, it’s not 5k, but 4k is more than enough for everday use and occasional multimedia needs. Mac OS is crisp, colors are vibrant, and the bezels are relatively thin. Height and tilt adjustments are easy, plus there is plenty of IO. 32” is a great size if you want lots of real estate, but don’t want to crowd your desk space!

Good Quality display. Bright and good text quality. If you need display to work with MAC I can recommend this one. USB Hub have some limitations. For example, not enough power for my webcam (1A) and you should have special display to connect second one to first one.

Poor quality, monitor stand is not very sturdy and when you are typing on keyboard the whole monitor jiggles which was nauseating, I’ve never seen that happen before with a monitor. Not sure if my monitor was faulty or not, but it had poor colors, despite the monitor being “calibrated” from the factory. Viewing angles are not great too. There was some flickering, pixelation and aberrations when viewing videos, playing games, even in OS animations. There is uneven backlight, which shows as a shadow around the screen edges, more pronounced at the bottom. Returned this lemon, probably will never buy any Dell products again. I had multiple professional monitors from Dell in the past from the same product line, but newer models show that the quality went downhill.

    Better than oled for office

Ive used oleds for about two years. My eyes like these dells better. Mainly the color and text is amazing. Oled is more bang for buck and way better for video though. So if you want to game or watch movies go oled. This is a nice size and plays well with my work laptop for a clean and neat setup. The vertical viewing angles is somewhat annoying compared to perfect oled viewing angles but not something i cant get used to. Best buy does not sell protection plans for this and Im not happy about that. Dell does have good warranty service though. Oled text is bad compared to this bottom line.

    Poor Scaling on iOS

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

If you are using a Mac and want the appearance of a 1440 display, take a hard pass on this monitor. I upgraded to it from a pair of 27” Dell Ultrasharp 1440 monitors with a MacBook Pro M3 Pro running Ventura. The scaling is very poor - worse than the 1440s run at the default resolution. The color is marginally better on this display and if you scale it to 1080, it’s phenomenal but you are losing a lot of screen space in the process. With Mac you want 100-DPI or 200-DPI so that if you scale you are using a factor of 2.0 such that the pixels get divided up evenly. Anything different will be blurry. I’m going move to a single Studio Display with a secondary 24” 4k monitor scaled to 1080. Please research before buying for Mac if you don’t understand the scaling that I describe.

Fantastic Monitor. KVM feature is next level. The quality of the screen is great, vibrant colors, expansive size. The plastic shell is pretty sturdy, not as sturdy as I would have hoped for an almost $1000 dollar monitor but it sits on the desk so I don’t really touch it much. It just sits and looks pretty. The KVM and the multiple inputs and being able to display two computers at the same time is awesome for productivity.
