Customers are saying

Customers love the Ethernet port, portability, and compact size of the USB-C Mobile Adapter DA300. Many appreciate its compatibility with various devices and its sleek design. However, some customers find the price to be high and note that it doesn't provide power to the laptop, and only one video output can be used at a time. The adapter's performance has also received some mixed feedback.

No power pass through. And if you're using it for a Dell Inspiron 2in1 7306, then why suggest this for a laptop with only one USB-C port, which is already being used for the power cord?

    Great for a Traveling Tech

I'm a traveling tech and this is great for helping me troubleshoot different things for clients. You are getting a gigabit lan port, vga, display port, hdmi, VGA and both USB-C and USB-A ports at your disposable with only having to use a USB-C port on your laptop/pc. Everything was plug and play no special software or drivers needed. The puck twists to let out the cord to the right length you need and when you are done just twist it back and tuck it away. I find this saves a lot of desk space too without needing several adapters running everywhere. Added bonus the DP and HDMI ports can do 4k 60hz passthrough as well. I'll admit I think the customer base for this is limited but for me as a tech with a laptop with usb-c ports this is great. I have no video outputs or ethernet port on my slim laptop so this gives me practically everything I need to troubleshoot in one go. Highly recommend nothing not to like here, if you need a versatile dock that won't take up a lot of space this is it.

I have used this on both of my laptops (windows 10), testing both hdmi and old video outs, both work well, I have also connected my computer via ethernet and it worked well if I don't want it use wifi, or have the faster speed. External dvd burners work well also, no issues. I really like the feature that the connecting cord winds into the base when done, goes well into pocket of my laptop bag I do reccommend this.s, testing both hdmi and old video outs, both work well, I have also connected my computer via ethernet and it worked well if I don't want it use wifi, or have the faster speed. Great Compact USB C Docking Solution

I have a small convertible (flip it over to use it as a tablet) laptop. It only has 2 USB C ports and 1 USB Type A port. One of the USB C ports is needed for power so connectivity is very limited. I thought this small computer would be great for travel but I found that the limited connectivity coupled with the number of adapters I needed to take along led me to choose to travel with my larger laptop which had every type of port needed. With this adapter I can use one USB C port on my small computer to connect HDMI to the hotel TV, the wired network (much faster than the free hotel WiFi) and an external hard drive. This adapter has a handy short USB C cable that rolls up into the base of the unit. Besides the HDMI and network connections I have mentioned, this adapter also includes Displayport and VGA ports plus 1 each USB C and A ports. This adapter has made my compact computer much more versatile when traveling as well as simpler to connect.

This mobile adapter is perfect for my needs. It connects easily to my laptop so I can connect to any device I need to. I like that it's compact and the USB cable winds up with a twist so that I can just toss the unit in my bag and be on my way.

    Little Powerhouse

I was actually stunned by how small this dock is when I first opened the package. I titled this review "Little Powerhouse", because that's exactly what this is. It's got every connector I need on my desk - ethernet, HDMI, Display Port, and an extra USB-A port. I'm using it with a Dell Laptop, and it was plug-and-play. I'm not sure if that would be the case with another model, but even if it's not - it's just a driver install away. The only slight downside is that the retractable USB-C cable is not very long. It isn't an issue in my setup, but be aware. I would absolutely recommend this unit.

Works fine, not the best design

Would recommend this adapter for those who need to adapt multiple types of plugs to USB-C. Otherwise, the item is too clunky and the cable too short to justify buying. Other, cheaper adapters work well for converting USB-A to USB-C, which is what I got this for.

I received this DA300 multi device peripheral at no cost for an honest review. I was able to test several ways. 1.) Connected the built in USB-C out to my laptop and the RJ45 cable to my router since my laptop has no RJ45 input. I was able to connect directly to my router with no problems and access hard-wired internet. The speeds were a little slower, but I don't think the peripheral was to blame. After I had used it, it was a little warm. 2.) I connected the built in USB-C to my laptop and the VGA out to an old monitor I had. Regardless of resolution, the signal was good on my VGA screen. I was very pleased that this worked. I was only able to mirror my laptop screen. 3.) I connected the built in USB-C to my Samsung Galaxy S9+ and the VGA out to an old monitor, I was able to see my phone's screen directly on this monitor. If I turned the image horizontally, I was able to see it that way on the monitor too. 4.) Although there isn't power pass-through on the USB-C port on the adapter, I was able to power up a small older harddrive with the blue USB port. However, it did start to get a little warm after some use. I do like the twisting motion to keep the little cable tucked in. If you are constantly presenting or using media on different devices, I recommend this adapter.

This 6 in 1 adapter has everything you need to expand your laptop. It serves as a one stop docking station. The chord stows away neatly and this unit just simply works. The form factor is small enough to carry in you backpack or laptop bag, but big enough it sits nicely next to your machine.

This is a very basic mini hub for a laptop/computer. It has one USB C plug that nicely retracts into itself for travel. This is a nice touch. The ports, however are quite limited. The instructions tell you that you cannot use multiple ports at once, except for a few, and that it does not support power passthrough the USBC port on the device itself. For those of you with a computer that only has one usbc port, this is critical. You cannot plug in power to your laptop while using this device. I found this device is really only useful for an HDMI output and a USBA port, that's about all. There are other adapters on the market I would rather have.
