What a beautifully designed laptop this is. But the fans do kick up quite often, even when I’m not running GPU/CPU heavy apps like Chrome. Don’t open more than 10 tabs lol. Other than that, great for everyday use, gorgeous display with super slim bezels, a uniquely designed keyboard and an invisible trackpad. Battery life is horrible though. Even worse on the OLED version.

This was the first laptop I ever bought, knew it had to be perfect while starting undergrad and handle all my papers and research. It preformed amazingly in 2023 when I bought it and continues to today! It’s gorgeous, actually light weight, have nearly flung it across the room forgetting it’s not as heavy as other laptops I’ve used in the past. The lag is non existent, you can manually choose for the laptop to cool itself which has been a life saver when working outside at cafes. The sound system is wicked since it’s plays form a soundbar underneath the entire frame - it’s truly the Tesla of laptops. My parents thought I was insane to spend over $1,000 on my first computer, but I knew when I finally purchased one it was going to be one that would last me at least through graduation, and have the best warranty and maintenance programs. My yearly warranty covered everything, and that was a non negotiable. Absolutely no complaints!

I haven't had it for long, so my opinion may change over time, but so far so good. I love it. It is small and lightweight. Truly one of the more beautiful laptops out there. I don't know how I feel about the lack of ports just yet. I don't use too many ports in my everyday life, but there are those times when the need arises for things like an HDMI port. Also, this laptop doesn't have a headphone jack. I generally use wireless headphones anyway, so I don't think it will be a problem, but only time will tell.
I have actually been able to casually game on this machine, which was a big plus for me since this isn't a gaming machine. However, the intel iris XE graphics are good enough that it can play a lot of games on medium settings without much issues. Don't expect to play top of the line games on Ultra settings on this. Hardcore gamers, look elsewhere. But if you're just a regular person who plays regular games, then this can pretty much do that. I was able to play games like Sims 4, My Time At Sandrock, Project Hospital, Fall Guys, & Life Is Strange 2 without any issues.
As always, I did not like the amount of bloatware that came installed on the machine, but I was able to get rid of most of it pretty easily.
I know that Dell has quality control issues overall, so I am cautiously waiting to see if any weird issues pop up with the laptop over time. I hope they don't.

This is an open box laptop at almost 40% of the retail price. My first open box item from BB and it’s much better than what I expected. It has to be explained that it is an open box, so clean and all components are intact and like brand new. Laptop itself is pretty awesome, lightweight fullloaded with features. The smart bar and backlit keyboard are very eye catching. Laptop itself is very stylish , the best part is keyboard and touchpad.

This laptop really makes you feel like you have a modern machine. The fingerprint reader, full glass touchpad, and keyboard all feel great. One main concern that I read about in reviews were always about the heat and battery life, but I feel like after some tuning and bios updates it has gotten very reasonable. I am able to keep turbo boost on - I think day 1 reviews and overheating issues are just the machine trying to catch up on updates. Overall, I'd recommend the machine.
Battery life: On day 1 before I could tune anything, I was getting maybe 30% battery drained an hour. Now I'm getting 10-15% battery drain an hour, so I went from about 3 hours of battery life to 6+ hours, which is good enough for my basic web browsing and YouTube.
Heat: On day 1 I was getting the dreaded lap heater, but it was better a few days later. Setting the performance mode to Quiet seems to keep the machine cool and quiet.
Performance: The machine buckles at maintaining consistent frame rates unless you put it in ultra performance mode. I was able to achieve a clean 60FPS on ultra performance. I like how we can neuter it to get better battery life, while having the option for performance.

I order an open box excellent item from BestBuy. In the description it said that I will get the device with all it accessories and it may come with packaging but that did not happen. I was given the laptop with the change is clear plastic ziploc. The device had smudges and fingerprints all over it. I took the device, cleaned it up and it looked brand new.
It is an amazing looking laptop with one of the best keyboards and trackpad. It takes a few hours to get used to the keyboard but once you get used to it there is no looking back. But the function row is disappointing, there is no haptic feedback for that matter any feedback if you press any of the function row keys which makes it feel meh.
The fingerprint scanner works great, doubles as power button as well. The camera is ok, but it worth noticing that Dell was able to squeeze in a camera in these ultra thin bezels.
My main issue with the laptop was the palm rest, everything I would pick my had up from typing it would make a clicking sound. I there was something wrong with this unit, as the demo unit in the BestBuy did not make that sound.
Similarly, when you keep the laptop on flat surface, the right side of the palm rest would make the clicking sound when you press it but the left side wouldn’t. Since everything below the keyboard is a slab of glass, I think something was off with my unit. With that being said, I ended up returning the unit.

An amazing machine especially for the size!! One of the best displays I’ve ever seen. The battery life isn’t great but considering a full charge while in operation takes about 2 hours that doesn’t matter as much! With the unnecessary programs removed that come installed the computer runs much smoother and boots much faster! Maybe 5 seconds! A very good purchase especially at discounted open box rates!

This laptop looks so good in person. Nothing quite matches it’s looks. The battery lasts the whole day, and the specs are enough to run light Fusion 360 work. The trackpad works well, although the capacitive touch buttons sometimes requires two presses to register. The screen is large and the bezels thin, making this an awesome daily driver for light workloads.

Dell has always been one of my favorite laptop brands. In the past, I've owned Macbook, Dell, Toshiba, My Macbook broke down after 8 years and I couldn’t find something to match up. The biggest complaint on my old macbook was the weight and it was about 17". I looked into Dell since Ive had a good history with their laptops. The XPS 13 plus came up as one of the best laptops in 2023. I initially ordered this product from the dell website but the speed of it was incredibly slow so I returned it. After my macbook broke down 2 months ago, i went to bestbuy and couldnt keep my eyes off this laptop so i tried giving it another shot. The display version worked smoothly so i purchased it and ive had no issues yet! I think the one I purchased from dell was a dud so im glad i gave it another shot. This XPS 13 plus is a breath of fresh air. Its lightweight, compact, fast, and has a beautiful exterior and interior. I travel 3+ times a year, so carrying something portable and lightweight is a huge plus for me. I like the feel of the keyboards. Im a little picky when it comes to keyboards because i cant use it if its too soft or too stiff, it needs that rebound feeling. the features remind me a bit of the macbook because it has shortcuts at the top, the invisibility of the mousepad was strange but not a dealbreaker. It also doesnt have a headphone port. Again, not a dealbreaker because ive always used wireless. The biggest dislike is the fact is only has 2 USB ports. Overall, this computer is wonderful. I’d highly recommend the purchase. I do feel is too expensive but if youre looking for a well rounded laptop that’s lightweight, fast, portable and visually appealing, id highly recommend the XPS 13 Plus.

Excellent device. Fast and very light. The picture is amazing for such a thin laptop. Only has 2 USB c ports. It does get hot really quickly especially when streaming. Got a really good deal so not too worried about that given the specs. Battery is decent compared to other windows laptops but terrible compared to a MacBook which costs the same as this laptop. I woukd have opted for the MacBook instead if windows wasn't the requirement.

It has been great besides the update that mae eit have a mind of its own turning on when i turned off. But its been a fantastic little portable laptop for me. No issues. Thank you dell.

While the design is absolutely amazing, it's obvious dell has had to cut some corners to fit this level of performance and design in a 13 inch body. While the performance is great, battery life is middling at best even without the oled screen, additionally the body can get fairly hot before the fans ever turn on. Overall though it's an impressive piece of hardware and one I'm happy to use, as long as I'm near an outlet.

The screen, keyboard and build quality are amazing, sadly I returned because of terrible battery life and horrendous thermals. When a 13 in notebook can't survive at 50% brightness for more than 3 hours with Word and Spotify it's a problem. Not to mention that I could feel the underside of my table getting warm because of this machine. Quality Control and reliability have always been an issue for Dell and it's sad that it's still an issue in 2023. If you want a laptop that looks cool, this this is it, but if want one that lasts more than 3 hours in real world testing, I'd look anywhere else. Dell, if you're reading this, this is a stain on the XPS name and should have never made it to market.

I am completely over the moon about this laptop. I love how thin and compact it is. Its lightning fast and the bezeless screen is amazing. Excellent picture quality. I also love the PhoneLink option as I can make and receive calls and texts from my laptop. Every time I use it I'm jist so excited about how awesome it is. One of the best looking laptops ive ever seen. Remimds me of a Mac in a way, aesthetically. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

This is a great machine. However i'm using outlook 365 what creates frustration. It's not as fast as I thought it was going to be. It is very difficult to save information because the everything's pushed the cloud because of office. The screen is great and the sound is fabulous. I'm still adjusting to the smaller size. The machine gets hot, that's a concern. I'm still in my sixty day window, and i'm going to send it for a check.

Dell XPS quality. Looks beautiful. Performs well. But beware the keyboard. Function keys do not go down so it is like pressing your finger against the counter. Also runs hot. Much as I love performance and stylish looks I would not buy again.
