It has loads of space and is streaking fast. I got my touch screen and backlit keyboard. I am a little old lady so being able to see is important!

I don’t like the white keys, because it makes it hard to see the backlighting due to the lack of contrast. It runs a bit hot and isn’t perfect, but the screen is nice and the performance is as expected. Worth it on a good sale.

A couple things I thought would bother me. is the lack of the side keypad and no standard usb 3 ports. Dell does give an adaptor for that though. Display and quality make up for the short falls. Also the price. Mine was an open box excellent condition. I swear its brand new. or just that an open box. It was on sale that day for $500 off and they must have passed that on to open box too.

All you have to do it hit F5 to toggle the backlight on and off. At first, I was surprised at how heavy it was. I was told this was due to the graphics card. The OLED display was so impressive, I bought it anyway. After bringing it home, I immediately fell in love with it. The white keyboard is nice. Overall, this was a great purchase.

But the 4k OLED screen and power-hungry intel chip KILL battery life! Luckily the included power adapted charges the laptop in no time, but I have found myself frustrated with having to connect to the wall multiple times a day. I would have gone with an Apple silicon mac if it wasn't for my workflow needs with windows and x86 applications...

Here are the steps to help improve the battery performance of your laptop:
1. On the notification area of the taskbar, right-click the Battery icon.
2. On the options list, click Power Options.
3. Select a power plan on the battery meter, such as Power Saver or Balanced. Windows 10 has a built-in 'Battery Saver' mode that can be activated to extend your system's battery life. The Battery Saver mode will monitor and limit background activity and other features such as push notifications. You do have the option to enable or disable this mode within settings or within advanced Battery Saver settings, you can customize the mode to best suit your needs.
a) Click on the Action Center icon in the taskbar and select the tile for Battery Saver.
b) If running Cortana, type Battery Saver into the search box and select from the results.
Within the Battery Saver settings page, you will be able to turn on and off the feature and customize the feature to best meet your needs.
c) Turn the Battery Saver On or Off.
d) Additional settings are available via the Battery use and Battery saver settings links.
e) Battery use shows further info on apps and their power usage.
f) Battery Saver Settings screen allows you to customize further the Battery Saver feature.

Man the arctic white XPS looks good

And man is it a good looking piece of hardware. Typical excellent XPS workmanship, great screen, and still very portable. Extremely nice huge glass trackpad. I have not really made the 3050 Ti GPU sweat but so far I have not had issues with heat or battery life. If gaming is your #1 priority I think you can do better on bang for your buck, but for an all-around high-quality Windows laptop with a decent GPU, this is highly recommended
