    Good. But There's A Caveat

This is a tough product to review. It's good and bad. The hardware is simply amazing. The OLED infinity screen is easily the most beautiful screen I've ever seen on a laptop. The quality overall is GREAT! But the software and the fans are big issues. Windows 11 is still very buggy. It does weird things like not respond to commands often, it stutters or takes forever to start up. Sometimes it doesn't start up. This could be a result of how Dell tweaked the BIOS. Which brings me to another point. Dell tuned the BIOS of this machine a lot to maintain it's cooling for this very small chassey. Mostly it works. But when this machine is under load from tasks like video editing, it sounds like I'm on an airport runway with no earplugs. It can struggle to keep up. Overall I get my audio editing work done with this machine but Windows 11, Intel's 12th Gen processor and Dell's tuning makes this machine sometimes not fun to work on. Other times it's a joy. I would recommend it for creatives like me who prefer Windows, but if it doesn't fit your needs, bring it back and get something else.

Loving my new XPS computer! The OLED is such a noticeable upgrade from my previous non-touch screen, and the 32GB of ram makes photo editing a breeze. I had issues with my other computer overheating; so far I haven't even heard the fans come on with this one. Absolutely love it!

This laptop is fast! It rapidly runs anything I throw at it. I use it primarily with adobe premiere pro which requires a lot of resources. This handles it easily.

If you are an office user and a designer this is a fantastic laptop to get. Powerful enough to run ANY application. Fast a a Lightning. The sound is a competitive one. The display resolution and brightness is perfect. The legacy design keep this professional and elite look. Over all, this laptop is a dream laptop comes true. Have EVERYTHING you need for the work. Even it is customizable. The i9 model have the option to increase its processing speed. I can’t say nothing about gaming because I’m not a gamer. But, I bet it can handle some high resources demanding games.

Good solid laptop for performance and sleekness. The material on the palm rests is an oil magnet. Sometimes has loud fan noise when not under load.

This unit is a powerhouse, for productivity and creative tasks only. If you are a gamer, there are other options out there that will do a much better job than the Dell XPS line. The screen is a dream! 100% color-accurate, and crystal clear! The Camera is a 720p cam though, really bad. Another thing that's worthy of note is that the fans get LOUD when this laptop is under load, but it dissipates heat very well.

An excellent laptop. After researching laptops for 6 months, this was clearly the best choice. Its specs are all top quality and performance and the price was the best available by far. The only laptop that could come close to the specs was a lenovo, but their units were larger, heavier and more expensive.

I don’t see any thing to complain about this product, it’s fast, is the latest processor, it’s strongly built, and Dell has an excellent set up with regards to customer support inside the computer. The only complaint I have is I need to buy a docking station. battery life is decent but hopefully later on it could beat the MacBook Pro.

As Best Buy does not allow you to edit reviews once posted, this review comes early in the life of the product. After a week of use it is fast and reliable. Very good build quality, I don't miss my MacBook Pro. Reliability is yet to be seen. Battery life is noticeably below average though.

Close to 4 stars, so far it's serving it's purpose, great screen, decent GPU, not great, but I use it for programming. It's portable and love it has thunderbolt 4. Only issue is the edges are sharp, like can be bad sharp, I bought a case from Amazon to overcome it and not adding weight. I came from intel MacBook and need windows so m1/M2 without parallels wasn't cutting it

    Dell Hurts Hands Uncomfortable Keyboard

I purchased the Dell XPS 15 15.6 OLED and tried using it for a week. I was very impressed with the screen size and the beautiful display. The quality of movies was exceptional. HOWEVER, when using this Dell as a laptop with no mouse, it was very disappointing. First and foremost, the keyboard is very uncomfortable. There is a sharp edge on the bottom of the keyboard where my palms rest when using the trackpad. Only after a few minutes, my palms felt like they were cutting and my wrists would start to ache. The keyboard is also very disfunctional. For some unknown reason, the DEL key and the On/Off key are located in the wrong location. Dell decided to put the On/Off key as the top right key. Therefore, every time I would try to use the delete key, I would press the On/Off key. Not good! Also, the trackpad is extremely large. Best Buy let me return the Dell, and I purchased a Windows Surface Studio laptop. It has the most comfortable keyboard that I've ever used, and the screen display is excellent!

I almost regret buying the OLED version. It looks absolutely phenomenal and I love the display but the battery drain is insane. I find myself looking for a charger after just a few hours of being unplugged. My wife also has the 17 inch version in non OLED and she does not suffer from the same issue. So if battery is a must do not get the OLED!!!

The i9 with 3050ti and 32g ram is the best windows laptop in this form factor that money can buy. This is not a gaming laptop, and you shouldn't expect that either. It has better thermal compared to 9th gen XPS i used to have. Not cheap, but hey, it’s durable and beautiful. Oh, and OLED display is stunning.
