Fingerprint scanner, not as fast as current smartphones. Face ID works nicely but not in sunlight. Everything is good except for 2 annoying problems. Bluetooth mouse has wake delay even after 1 second of not using it. The screen colors are oversaturated which require fine tuning for photo editing.

Yes, fans are audible during heavy workloads but it's not like other laptops with dedicated graphics. Good battery life. Excellent screen. Amazing smooth trackpad. Amazing keyboard. Would have liked a full size usb port and maybe a better internal DAC but can't complain.

I bought this based on my previous experience with Dell Latitude laptops provided by my employer. I'm sorry to say this one does not measure up.

Only bad things is, speaker is loud but not that good quality it actually has like a little annoying sound when you max the volume. Another thing is the key board and track pad get oily easily so make sure your hands are clean or wipe it after use. But if not that this is definitely the best windows notebook laptop out there guarantee.

I hate there arent as many USB (B/C) ports as I'd like but hey that's the trend we're heading in.. less is somehow more.

We are sorry to hear that you are not too happy with your Dell XPS 9510 laptop because it is overheating and you don’t like its matte screen finish. We will share your comments with our quality team, so future improvements can be made.
To help with overheating issue, we would recommend making sure the BIOS is up to date on your PC. I have provided a link to the Drivers and Downloads page so you can check for and do any applicable updates. Dell has also released an Intel Power Management Utility to help with the overheating that you may be experiencing on your computer. For this package to take effect, the system power plan must be set to Balanced under the Additional Power Settings. Also, the Power Mode option that is displayed when you click the battery icon, should be set to Better Performance. This package only takes effect on AC power and not on battery power. The Intel Power Management Utility can be found here - http://dell.to/3tStRgX.

Design Flaw
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unfortunately, there's a major design flaw from my POV. It was very difficult to open the laptop. There was no opening sufficiently large for one to insert a finger and lift the top open. I struggled each morning during the trial period to open the laptop. Next, Microsoft makes it such that MS Edge would launch each time the computer launches. No matter how I tweaked the settings. Initially, I thought I'd buy a Windows laptop and a MacBook Pro for my professional needs. This experience drove me back to just working with a trustworthy Mac.
