The 4k display is great. The store employee who helped us choose this computer was very helpful. We came in looking at a different brand but this one has more features for the money.

I upgraded to this after using the XPS 15 9560, and I'm very happy I did. While I don't use it as much as I expected, the Tablet Mode is easy to use - although this laptop is a bit large and heavy when using as a tablet. Otherwise it's a fast laptop and plays the few games I like pretty well. My only complaint: I really hate the Radeon RX Vega M and wished Dell had stayed with nVidia hardware like they did with the XSP 15 9570. The Radeon sometimes has a problem kicking in for certain games or apps - particularly from the Microsoft Store - resulting in my having to tinker with the system to get stuff working properly.

Was looking to upgrade my 6 year old Dell. So far I am very pleased. Battery life and graphics are great . It was extremely easy to set up right out of the box. My only drawback was no DVD drive or card reader . However picked those up easy enough and can connect them right through a c connection just like I did with a wireless mouse.

After looking for the right computer that will fit my needs I searched high and low and the Dell XPS series is was what I found. After reading plenty of reviews I felt this machine was gonna be just right. So far I have 1 week of use and i'm putting it thru a lot of processing doing large format images via Photoshop. Its handling it very well. I read a lot of people complaining about the loud fans but once you do the bios update and all that's recommended by Dell Support, it goes away. Overall I am very happy on the laptop, although its a 2-in-1, I still haven't really tinkered with the tablet capabilities as of yet. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

This laptop is great! Screen resolution is wonderful. Giant screen considering how small the laptop is relatively I do get frustrated by only having USB-C ports but I know that's the way all the slim laptops are moving and I bought a hub to plug things in.

Unpleasant user experience, go with Apple

I spent a long time researching a new laptop, debating between the MacBook Pro and this 15" XPS. I settled on the XPS because I've always had Windows computers, it was $700 less than the MacBook, and had very positive reviews about optics, speed, and multiple other features. I liked this particular model because of the touch feature and ability to use it as a notebook. But after several months of using this, I can only say that I made a mistake. I truly actually hate using this XPS laptop and Windows 10. The settings are ridiculously difficult to access and set up for every single feature. It's even very difficult to set up the desktop in a user-friendly way for readability and easy access to apps, and even MS Office is difficult to set up and use. Absolutely nothing about it is smooth, and the only pleasant experience is watching movies. Because it requires a security subscription it isn't even cost-effective compared to the MacBook. Unless you absolutely have to have a Windows laptop, forget this one. Go with Apple.

Don't believe the 1 stars. Clearly their minds are still primitive. This machine is worth a lot more than what it's selling for and is a monster of a machine.

    Bet Your Live On It

This is the core of a live show. When you need to present in front of people, you can't have the computer let you down. I do a multimedia presentation where I have recorded loops and record some audio live, and weave it back into the presentation in real time. All this while running two input pieces (keyboard and a control surface) as well as a recording interface, and displaying the software interface on the screen and streaming video to an external projector that the audience can see. This handles everything simultaneously without a hiccup.

I got this laptop to use for work as a desktop replacement. It generally works quite well. I had to have it serviced (within warranty) because the trackpad had become exposed. Turns out the battery had expanded. They not only replaced the battery, but also the keyboard/trackpad assembly. The other issue is a design flaw. The camera is at the bottom of the screen, instead of the top, so it looks up at your face instead of being at the same level as your face. This doesn't work as well for videoconferencing, so I have an external Logitech webcam at the top. Overall, though, I'm pleased with the laptop.

I bought this laptop to do graphic design and work for school. It’s incredible. Screen is so vibrant. Sooo vibrant. It helps with color accuracy if you’re a designer. The pen is included which is a nice bonus. Not as good as the apple pen, or surface pen, but having the ability to sketch on the fly is awesome. The mag-lev keys take getting used to since they have such small travel, but after adjusting, it definitely speeds up your typing. The only thing I have an issue with is how hot it runs. It’s a 16gb i7 so I get it get hot... but the fans will turn on when I have nothing running. Not a huge issue though, overall an amazing laptop!
